When sharing my figma slide screen on zoom, 2 cursors show up.
Hi
I understand you're seeing two cursors when sharing your Figma Slides screen on Zoom. We’d love to learn more so we can help.
Would you mind answering a few quick questions to help us better understand the issue?
-
When you move your cursor on the slide, do other viewers see two cursors on their end?
-
Does this happen when using "Present", "Present + Notes", or both?
-
Are you using the desktop app, a browser, or both when this happens?
If you’re open to it, we’d really appreciate it if you could submit a bug report through this secure form: Submit a request
In the form, please include:
-
A screen recording showing the issue (include your full screen and all steps to reproduce it)
-
A link to this forum thread, so the team can see the full context
This information will help our team reproduce the issue and investigate it more effectively.
Thanks so much!

Yes
Does this happen when using "Present", "Present + Notes", or both?
Present + Notes when sharing the pop-up on zoom. I believe it’s something with the Z-order, where if the presenter notes are sitting on the same screen as the presentation, the cursors are viewed as separate.
Are you using the desktop app, a browser, or both when this happens?
Desktop App. But when tested in Chrome, it did the same thing.
I’ll submit a bug report, thanks.
Any updates on this issue? I’m facing the same problem.
Hi there,
Thank you for your patience while we looked into this.
Our engineering team has identified that the issue you are encountering, where two cursors appear when sharing your Figma Slides screen on Zoom, is part of a known long-standing bug. While the team is aware of it, we don’t have an estimated timeline for a fix at the moment.
It appears that the issue occurs when the audience view window is being shared, and the presentation window is overlaid on top of the Zoom window. In this setup, when your mouse moves over the presentation view, both the OS cursor and the multiplayer cursor may appear.
As an alternative solution, here are a couple of things you can try:
-
Avoid placing the presentation window directly over the Zoom window. If possible, using two screens can help keep them separate.
-
Minimize the Zoom window and continue navigating directly in presentation window.
We appreciate your understanding!
To provide an update on this, the Slides team is aware of this and it’s a by-product of being able to use your cursor in Presentation mode to call attention to certain elements on the Slide. That said, we’re looking into some creative ways around it, and will keep you updated as we make progress.
