Full seat, but cannot edit files (view-only mode)

Hello!

A client granted me a full seat, which I can also see stated next to the workspace name. But inside the files I still see the “Ask to edit” component. The client checked the settings ion their side and say that everything is set as for other active designers. But I still see either the “view-only” component or “ask to edit” one where I did not yet ask for permission.
I have no clue where the problem lies. Anyone has a clue?

Hi @Christian23456

I understand that you have a Full seat in an Organization, but you're still seeing "View-only" or "Ask to edit" when opening files.

I checked on our end and can confirm that you do have a Full seat, but your account type is listed as a “Guest” in the Organization.

Just to clarify: On the Organization and Enterprise plans, users can be either Members or Guests. Guests have limited access and can only access files they’ve been explicitly invited to.
This means that even with a Full seat, you won’t be able to edit files unless you’ve been directly granted access.

Could you double-check whether you've been invited to the specific files you're trying to edit?

Thanks,

Hello @Junko3 !
That solved it. As easy as it was, we did not see where the problem was.
Able to work now.
Thanks a lot!

@Junko3 Thanks for this insight!

I’m experiencing the same issue but with a Professional plan. Does the same apply or is there a different resolve?
