Minor Bug: Figma Sites URL Links Don't Work

I want to report a bug in Framer Sites.

The links don’t work as expected. Gallery should open the Gallery webpage.

But instead, it opens this node URL in the published site.

I used a template.

Other than that, love the new products and I’m very eager to try everything out. Will report bugs if the team’s is interested :)

Thank you!

Best,

Khushi

Hello again everyone — I’ve got some good news:

Our engineering team identified the issue where links were being set incorrectly when creating a new Figma Sites file from a template. This has now been resolved. Going forward, links created from a template Site should correctly direct to other pages within the Site as expected. ✅

💡 If you notice a link pointing to an unexpected URL or node, you can double check the destination in the Interaction tab (on the right side panel). More details can be found in this Figma Learn article: Add links to a site.

Thank you again for sharing your experience and for your patience while we worked on the fix. Please let us know if you run into anything else!

The links don’t function at all for me. I tried building several pages and even a basic link from one to the other doesn’t function. When I inspect in a browser, it’s just a paragraph tag with no href. Clicking it opens a div in the dom but nothing else happens. On mouseup the div disappears.

Same here. Links do not function at all for me. When I inspect with the web developper tools, the a becomes a div on hover.

Same here, I think only the text itself is linkable. If it changes to a component with hovered state, the link function goes wrong.

Hello everyone — thank you for flagging this!

I just connected with our engineering team, and they’re actively investigating the issue first reported by @Khushi Lunkad. We’ll keep this thread updated as soon as there’s more to share.

In the meantime, @Joshua_Feig, @Victor Coulon, and @Zurara: If you’re still running into this, it would really help us if you could file a bug report and provide file access so our Product Support team can dig in further. You can do this through this secure form — and when you do, please include:

  • the link to this Forum thread for context
  • a full-size screen recording of the issue (if possible)
  • a link to the affected file, with ‘can edit’ access granted to support-share@figma.com.

Sharing file access with our Product Support team won’t affect billing.

We appreciate your patience and all the details you’ve shared so far — it’s a huge help for us in getting this resolved quickly. 🙏🏻

I spent hours trying to figure out what’s wrong. The solution in this video is the best thing I could come up with.
