A very common way for me to share motion prototypes in an accessible way across my org is dropping it into a deck in Google Slides. I’ve found the best way to do this is to create a prototype (device: none), screen record that prototype using QuickTime, and then convert the .mov to a .gif using GIF Brewery 3. This process works pretty well. The primary downside is that the only way to get a touch cursor in the prototype is to set the device to a mobile device, which then includes the device chrome. This is not ideal for screen recording and creating a .gif as it increases the file and image size. A simple way of solving this would be to include cursor settings in top-level prototype settings that includes a choice of either a touch cursor or a pointer cursor (this is similar to how Principle does it: View->Toggle Preview Cursor Type). While this would solve for my specific use case, I also think it allows people to create more robust prototypes for touch devices that excludes device-sp
My projects won't open in Figma Windows because the connection speed is too bad.
What I’m doing wrong? I generated some Flutter code (with the help of visual code/copilot and the Figma MCP server) from my Figma design: class IPhone161 extends StatelessWidget { // Bild-URLs vom lokalen MCP-Server static const imgScreenshot202505181133481 = 'http://localhost:3845/assets/40302311985739cf5b0d629966628c418a2cb3ae.png'; static const imgEllipse1 = 'http://localhost:3845/assets/5747de95ba735346045eb9f07a9e21c55e00f7b8.svg'; static const imgFrame = 'http://localhost:3845/assets/2d63044c4aee77ef3b5702988be5cbcb4764e5a5.svg'; @override Widget build(BuildContext context) { return Scaffold( backgroundColor: Color(0xFFFFFFFF), But if I start the app, it is blank. Then I tried to access the asset (PNG file) directly from my browser and got a 404 error (This localhost page can’t be found). Seems that the MCP Server can’t serve the assets?
I want a way or a plugin to add custom metadata/custom properties/custom attributes to Figma components. My goal is to design components like Button, ComboBox, Radio Button, Table, TextArea, and TextInput, and attach metadata to each. I need to fetch this metadata later using Figma’s GET API. The metadata can be Plain text or JSON as string and can be of any number (10/20/30) I tried using default component properties capability associating it with bunch of hidden text type, but when I create an instance of the component, the properties associated with hidden text don’t appear in the new instance. Any suggestions on how to achieve this or a pluging which can be used to achieve it would be very very helpful.
I just can’t extract an image using Figma MCP. As you can see its successful, but it gives me a url like this, which doesn’t point to anything hence the images do not get rendered. Also attaching my Figma MCP settings. And before anyone talks about it losing context etc because of the size. This is what I’m exporting, just this… Because I just want to find out how to do a successful export with an image.
Figma application memory continues to increase, when screen sharing on Google Meets. Causing Chrome and Figma to freeze/crash.
I got this error while using community.
I work a lot with branches. I also set all kinds of annotations for developers there. I use different categories in the annotations to be able to categorize them better. If I then merge the file, the categories are reset and the annotations no longer have an categorization. Can this please be changed, it is quite time consuming to add all categories again 🙈
Figma Make are not using my library components attached. It only picked “generic” ones. Both with “Attach design” and using a full design system library file.
Figma should allow customization of the message shown to users requesting a seat. We have specific eligibility requirements, and currently, I have to manually follow up with each requester to confirm their eligibility. This creates unnecessary administrative overhead, especially with multiple administrators involved.
I work in the Figma app (not in the browser)It is impossible to work, if you try to work with large or medium-sized files, then every 2-5 minutes in Figma the app screen darkens and it restarts. I can't figure out what the problem is...The laptop is new, with good performance. Please tell me what can be done? And could this be a problem in Figma itself or in the laptop?
Hi Figma team, I accidentally deleted important file on June 25 around 4:20 p.m. The file is no longer visible in my account and in the trash. I had shared the file with a second account, but it’s not available there either. The file name was “Кейсы”, and it was created in a Education plan. Is there any way to restore the file, even partially? Thanks a lot in advance — this project is really important for me. [redacted by forum admin/moderator to remove PII]
