I created a prototype using Figma Make and saved it both as a file with the .make extension and as code in a .zip file. After that, I started a new project, but it didn’t work out, so now I want to return to my previous project. How can I restore my earlier project from these files?

I am asking the question here since I was waiting for sale team to call me for over 10 days and they don't bother to contact me. This is first time it my life to meet a company which has great product and miserable sales department. Usually it works in opposite LOL

Hey @Barmaley, I completely understand how frustrating that must have been, especially when you were expecting to hear from sales within a few days. I’ve escalated this yesterday with the team and they’ve now responded to your inquiry (#1458042). That’s not the experience we want to give, and I’ve passed your feedback along so we can do better.

Regarding your product question, if you want to continue working in Make, you can simply drag your .make file into the Figma file browser, and it will open for you to keep editing.

Thank you for reaching out on the Forum for help. If anything else comes up or you need help with your file, please feel free to reach out!

Gayani,

Thank you very much for your advice as well as for creating a ticket. I already got a letter from your associate and send him a long response. I hope he will answer soon.

About the .make! I feel so stupid now - why did not I think about it? It is so easy and it works!!!! Spent big time looking around everywhere (!) in the Figma Make page and did not find an export feature there (for obvious reasons now).

Is there a documentation where I can read about all functions and procedures which Figma offers?

Hey @Barmaley ! I totally get it, it’s always the simple things that we miss out on.

If you’d like to explore more about what Figma Make can do, our Help Center has a collection of articles here: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/sections/31831621091223-Work-with-Figma-Make.
