Hi I’ve tried three different prompts within figma make but when it’s done doing it’s magic the preview area isn’t showing anything. Just a blank page. However when I open the code editor I do see code. Am I doing something wrong here or am I missing something?

Hi @v0ort ,

As @Shawn_Wang1 mentioned, this could be related to your company's network settings. Sometimes, corporate networks have strict security filters that may block certain features in Figma.

Here are a few things you can try:

  • Create a new Figma Make file to see if the issue still occurs.
    • If the new file works fine:  The issue may be specific to the original file.
    • If the issue persists:  It’s likely something with your network or account setup.

For more details, this Help Center article explains how to adjust network settings to ensure Figma works properly: Adjust your network settings

You might want to share it with your IT team so they can check if anything is being blocked.

Thanks,

Try to see if it’s blocked by DNS Filter. Was able to resolve this by contacting my admin

I have the same thing happening but it is only for one project, so it is not my company blocking it.

This is similar to the issue I detailed in a separate thread in this same “Report a problem” forum. Also seems to be just for one project, but it re-occurs on any copy of the project I make as well. Any chance there is a rollback y’all need to do @Junko3? I am on my own home network and definitely not experiencing DNS issues AFAICT.

Update:
I tried to open the same files in Chrome on my private macbook and everything seems to work so I guess it’s the companies restrictions that are blocking it. I will contact my IT department to try and fix it.

Thank you!

I had the same issue and what solved it is the following:

I prompted “The preview screen is blank”
I got back:
“Let me check the App.tsx file to see if we're properly importing and using the component:Now the preview should display the product page ….”

And it shows indeed...
