Sidebar sections are crucial for our team. We recently downgraded from Organization to Professional and the sidebar sections were removed. I understand they are only for Organization and Enterprise plans, but I ask that you make them available to all paid plans, since there are many organizations with smaller teams who cannot afford Organization or Enterprise plans.
I use a drawing tablet to document and sketch app prototypes for work. Until recently, I preferred using FigJam over Figma Design for this, specifically because FigJam didn’t apply the aggressive — and often laggy — line-smoothing algorithm that Figma Design uses with the pencil tool. Unfortunately, the June 26th update seems to have changed that. Now, FigJam is attempting to auto-correct my strokes, but it's doing so poorly — skipping parts of the line and miscalculating stroke width. Here's an example:
The delete property button does not work. I accidentally created a variant, and want to delete it. But this minus button does nothing!
Right now, the “Update from main file” modal is the least helpful modal imaginable: No indication of what or where the conflict is. All I see is a zoomed-out view of my “Layout & Content” library page with nothing highlighted or listed out anywhere. And with this information, I have to choose whether to keep these changes or keep my branch. I manage a design system for a team of 10 designers, split up into 3 pods. This is a nightmare every time. Items with changes should be highlighted, and those changes should also be listed on the left-hand side. Edit: And would you look at that, I chose to keep the branch, arbitrarily, and the next screen actually shows me what the update involves! Why wouldn’t this be on the first screen? (I’ve edited out the content for NDA reasons) Now I actually have to go back to the previous screen and choose again if I’ve made a mistake.
I keep receiving the error: “Something went wrong. Please refresh or try again later.” I have tried to remediate the issue by: trying again a day later duplicating the file and trying again clearing app cache trying desktop vs web reverting back to previous builds No luck on any of the above. Any suggestions? Have I hit a max amount of prompts? Frustrating as I’ve reached a point in my prototype that needs fixes and it is locked up.
This seems like a very basic question, but I wasn’t able to find an answer or a solution: when I’m inserting/adding a component from my assets, what’s the best way to make sure it goes directly in to the correct folder in my layers? Currently an inserted component always goes at the TOP of the layers - and then I need to scroll and drag it to where I want it. Can anyone help? thanks
Our UXR team has noticed an increasing issue with loading prototypes on Android devices. Are certain devices more susceptible to this issue? Sometimes refreshing the prototype once resolves the problem, but other times the prototype either fails to load entirely or crashes. Are there any recommended optimizations, or have others experienced this issue?
i want to make a grid of images from an auto-layout. the previous behavior was that the layout would responsively place as many images on one row that fit within the frame’s horizontal bounds. so if the frame is widened, at some point the images would start wrapping around. this behavior is broken even when it’s set to grid layout. please fix, don’t explain how the new layout works, i understand it and want the old way restored. added grid auto-layout widening the frame desired result from resizing the grid-layout
So I have this simple Avatar with text (using auto layout and working correctly You’ll notice that I’ve stacked two instances on top of each other using auto layout. However, when you look at the FLOW in the right-hand menu, you’ll see that it’s set to HORIZONTAL. … I want it to be VERTICAL (as shown) , but when I choose VERTICAL (see below) it goes to a ‘backwards’ HORIZONTAL layout I’ve changes the canvas stacking, restarted Figma, restarted my Mac without luck. The only thing I’ve been able to do is rebuild it, but after a few minutes it starts happening again. Any help appreciated
I can’t seem to delete other peoples comments they have left. I am the creator / owner of the figma file and can only delete my own comments. Wondering if this is this normal? Why can’t we delete other peoples comments? The only solution I have found is to copy and paste the frames into a new design file which seems somewhat absurd?
Figma application memory continues to increase, when screen sharing on Google Meets. Causing Chrome and Figma to freeze/crash.

I’m using videos in my web prototype, however their previewing as crusty and pixellated. The videos uploaded are small (6mb) and I’m currently not even using them fullscreen. Is there a setting that I have done wrong, or is there a work around?
Good afternoon, everyone! I uploaded the video to the project after restarting the prototype, it loses a lot of quality and becomes pixelated. I've tried converting to WebM format and reducing the file size, but it still doesn't help. The frame size and the video are the same. 1920 x 1080 px
I’ve been using Figma as a guest collaborator and I wanted to share a bit of feedback. When I click on a team that has shared a project with me, I’m taken to a team overview page that appears empty or says I’m not a member—despite having access to a project. I only see the shared project by navigating through Recents, which feels a bit unintuitive. It would make for a smoother experience if I could be taken directly to the project I have access to, or at least see it listed within the team view instead of a blank page. I think this change could reduce confusion for guest users and make collaboration easier.
