Measurements should always display above everything in the UI including annotations. Currently, when I try to get the distance between some elements, it is becoming difficult because it is being hidden by the annotations I have added. Also would love the ability to change the location of the annotations and if they should display to the right/left/top/bottom of the element you are annotating.
I’m having an issue where tables fill color is different in the Figma Slides editor than it is in Presentation mode. See screenshots (first image editor, second is presentation mode):
I was following this video tutorial and it seemed to have exactly what I needed. However, now that Figma has been updated to a new UI, this section of the tutorial no longer applies. How can I do this in the latest version of Figma? Figma YouTube Link Simply changing the variant’s appearance with a Boolean value is not a viable solution right now.

I’m trying to let a free user collaborate. What should I do from this point onwards? Pretty new to the collaboration features on Figma and I am a part of my school’s plan. The collaborator is not a part of my school, and they currently still cannot edit the Figjam even though it is marked as “can edit.”
I have a 2Mb, 27sec mp4 video which I’d like to display in the ad reel at the top of a plugin page. I can upload the video, I can play the video in the preview, I can choose what order the video comes in the carousel but when I hit save, the video is not presented in the carousel. I have tried different formats (mov, different encoders) to no luck. Please can someone suggest a fix? https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/1397952939678206595
When exporting frames with gradients to PNG, you'll get semi-transparent pixels—even when all gradient stops are 100% opacity. This happens whether the gradient is applied directly to the frame or on a separate layer, as long as there's no solid fill behind it. The attached Figma file includes four test frames. Visually, they appear identical, but only the fourth frame—with a solid fill behind the gradient—exports as fully opaque. You can verify this with a tool like: PNG transparency checker; the first three exports contain semi-transparent pixels. A workaround is to move the gradient to a separate layer, then apply a solid fill to the frame behind it, like the fourth frame in the attached file. This avoids the PNG transparency problem but adds unnecessary layer complexity. Repro Steps Create a new Figma Design file Add a frame With the frame selected, change its fill to Linear Gradient. In the Export panel, click the + (plus) button. Confirm export type is set to PNG Click Export Fra
Please release an official version for the LINUX operating system because the version on github is unstable and outdated. Please think of your Linux users.
Within a file you can copy and paste frames with annotations while their tags remain but if you copy frames or components to another file, the annotations get copied which is great but their tags unfortunately disappear. Expected behavior: Annotation tags should remain if copy and pasted to another file.
I'm encountering an issue with the Variables API endpoint when attempting to export local variables. The endpoint returns all remote variables from shared files, making it impossible to export only local variables. Current Behavior: The endpoint returns all remote variables from shared files Unable to filter or export only local variables Receiving a 400 error with "Request too large" message Error Response: { "status": 400, "error": true, "message": "Request too large. If applicable, filter by query params." } Technical Details: The error message suggests using query parameters for filtering However, the endpoint documentation doesn't list any available query parameters The endpoint lacks pagination capabilities This limitation makes the endpoint essentially unusable for files with many variables Expected Behavior: Ability to export only local variables Support for filtering variables (local vs. remote) Pagination support for large variable sets Impact: This issue significantly impact
Our team were trying to export assets for us what we are going to use in a game engine. However discovered whenever we export gradient image as png, it has lot of transparent pixels. It doesnt happen with flat color or if we duplicate the image 2 times and apply the same gradient although i dont think that should be the right solusion. Any fix or guess?
What I’m doing wrong? I generated some Flutter code (with the help of visual code/copilot and the Figma MCP server) from my Figma design: class IPhone161 extends StatelessWidget { // Bild-URLs vom lokalen MCP-Server static const imgScreenshot202505181133481 = 'http://localhost:3845/assets/40302311985739cf5b0d629966628c418a2cb3ae.png'; static const imgEllipse1 = 'http://localhost:3845/assets/5747de95ba735346045eb9f07a9e21c55e00f7b8.svg'; static const imgFrame = 'http://localhost:3845/assets/2d63044c4aee77ef3b5702988be5cbcb4764e5a5.svg'; @override Widget build(BuildContext context) { return Scaffold( backgroundColor: Color(0xFFFFFFFF), But if I start the app, it is blank. Then I tried to access the asset (PNG file) directly from my browser and got a 404 error (This localhost page can’t be found). Seems that the MCP Server can’t serve the assets?
I can no longer copy one line of CSS out of dev view. I now have to use the clipboard icon to copy all the CSS and paste it into my file, then delete what I don’t need. I have added stills showing basics. I am on a Mac Sequoia 15.3.1, using Figma in Firefox Dev 139.0b5. It seems to be ok in Chrome, but that is irrelevant, unfortunately, as process is dependent on Firefox Dev.
I use some components in footer, that have two states: collapsed and expanded. All components and the main frame have Auto Layout. When I click on the collapsed component in the prototype the screen jumps up and down before the list expands with animation. As I understand, the problem is connected to constraints of the contents. When I choose Smart Animation, I can’t set checkbox “Preserve scroll position”, because there is no checkboxes. When I choose “Instant” and choose the “Preserve scroll position” option everything works well. But I want to do it with animation. drive.google.com
Hello, I'm experiencing an issue where Figma displays the following error: "Failed to fetch font list. Your network settings may need updating." I’ve already tried uninstalling and reinstalling Figma, but the issue still persists.Could you please advise on how to resolve this? Thank you in advance for your help!
I have created a complex Picture (Frame) with several overlapping shadows, objects, text, background, water droplets, etc., but when I export it in all formats, it appears with black bars, and in the Preview, the file contains mixed pixels instead of my original image. However, when I open it in the online version, the preview displays the correct image, and there are no black bars when I export the file. Can you help me understand why this is happening?
