Anyone noticed that Figma changed the Paste to replace keyboard shortcut? Until yesterday the shortcut was: Command + Option + Shift + V Now is Shift + Command + R, and I think it doesn’t quite communicate the pasting part of the function Hope they reverse this “up-date” because is being annoying me all morning. I’ve been using sections in Figma since they were released and to keep a more tidy canvas I use the “resize to fit” option on the section and noticed that this creates a 100px margin between the section bounds and the content. However I would like the margin to be of 500px instead of 100px, is this value adjustable?
So it seems Figma yet again have released new features without properly testing it. According to their documentation I can select a text layer and set text property. But the only option that shows is Boolean. Am I doing it wrong? Does anyone else have this problem?

Hello there! I have a simple issue but I cannot find the answer out there, and the thing is I want to make a square shape with two diagonals crossing trough the center and reaching the corners, but these lines always go beyond the square corner. How can I edit this? Thanks!
A couple of weeks ago I encountered some tech issues in Figma which had me download 5 different plug-ins, including one which I paid for and subscribed to (which ended up not working at all which I why I need to cancel the subscription). I am now trying to find which plugin it was. I looked at all the plugins I have currently downloaded but I am not sure which of them is the one I paid for. I also logged into my Google Play account but there is no record of any plugin I signed up for.
Hi, I created a color library with the naming convention “palette/color”. It was all added fine until I realized I could neither edit the hex codes nor see the hex codes without detaching the instance. Right-click option is also disabled for some reasons. Basically it is acting strange. Has anyone else faced a similar problem? And if you could please help with resolution, that would be great.
Hello everyone! Some fonts problems here. Figma shows some weights that don’t exist in Google fonts. (Old topic about Roboto and yes, I’m using Roboto) Even if I install it manually, I see weights like semibold, that is not really available. I also have some files where I can use the Roboto as a variable font (and it’s not). On Figma the weights are much darker than the original one. I read this thread that says it’s ok. Sorry to post it again, I read some threads about these topics from last years, with no clear solutions though so I hope there are fresh eyes and ideas now 🙂 So questions are: Do you have the same problems with Roboto or other fonts? Is there a way to use my installed font instead of the one found in Figma? And how can I see if I’m working with the right one? There was (a bug opened here), how can I see if it’s fixed? How, as designers, deal with that big difference of rendering between Figma and the web? Thank you 🌷
Trying to migrate a very graphic slide deck from illustrator to Figma. I have no problem copy-pasting vectors, but bitmaps are just pasted as an empty frame 😦 I’m afraid I’ll have to export all assets as png first and then import them into figma, but that takes up considerably more time than just copy-pasting 🫠 Is this normal behavior or anyone else having this problem? Is there an easier workaround??
Figma stopped showing project cover previews. Now it’s just a lot of black rectangles.
The case scenario I got is having a block of text that is my title and underneath I got a series of images. If I just use Wrap on the main frame the images won’t stay on the same line. Therefore I created a sub-auto layout with just the images but then they don’t stack anymore when I resize. See pics Thanks to whoever understand why it doesn’t work
The keyboard shortcuts displayed in the menus and the help sections are only working if you have an American (I suppose) keyboard layout. Where does one find the Figma keyboard shortcuts for other languages? I am what I would call a power user, making heavy use of keyboard shortcuts. It is impeding my productivity to have to hunt for a menu item in the UI because the keyboard shortcuts are broken for me. I have a Swedish keyboard and many of the keyboard shortcuts do not work for me with no way of actually finding them. One example: in Figma one can, or should be able to rather, hit ⌘/ to “Hide UI” but this produces nothing for me. However I recently discovered by mistake that hitting ⌘. produces that effect. 🤷

I have 2 problems copying text between text fields in Figma that would be solved if there was a “paste as plain text” option. Problem 1: How do you copy text into a text object as plain text? On a daily basis, I have situations where I have a lot of components on screens, and I want to copy text from component A to component B, where the text styles are radically different between A and B (like 36pt regular and 14pt bold). If I could copy the text from A and then go to object B and select “paste as plain text”, that would solve it, but there is no such option. Does anyone know an efficient workaround that’s better than pasting the text into a plain text editor and then copying that out to then paste somewhere else in Figma? Problem 2: How do you copy a URL as text into a field? Figma turns it into a hyperlink INSTEAD of copying it in as plain text. Note that “paste as plain text” would solve both. I will be most appreciative of any help on these chronic issues.
Hi everyone, I’m working on a plugin, and when I select an art board, I want to make its image, display it in my plugin UI, and send that image data to the API. I have data in the form of a Uint8Array. It needs to be converted to an image, which I found is possible if it’s in base64. the overlay positioning doesnt work, i=the semi-transparent thingy doesnt show up when i choose to manually choose where the overlay is going to show up.
