hello. I’ve run out of free space on the board in FigJam, FigJam just doesn’t let me scroll the board either left or right, up or down. is the board in FigJam not infinite? the elements are simply cut off and that’s it.

Hey @Evgeny_Leonov, sorry for the confusion!

No, the FigJam canvas is not truly infinite.

FigJam needs to have some defined bounds, because we have to reserve memory for canvas coordinates, and having a truly infinite board would cause performance issues considering the active memory limit of 2GB per browser tab.

This is on the FigJam team’s radar for improvement though. Feel free to add your feedback and vote here:

Tell me, how then to circumvent the limitation of the size of the board space? And do you plan to make a really endless board space in the future, like in miro? If not, then I would just switch to miro right now.

Hey @Evgeny_Leonov, as I linked above, making the FigJam truly infinite is already on the FigJam team’s radar for future implementation.

In the meantime, at Config 2024, we introduced Pages in FigJam, so while you can’t use a single, infinite canvas, you can add additional pages to your FigJam file. More info here:
