Link to section does not work from a branch

HI
when i work in a branch, i want to share a link to a specific section.
the link is generated, but it takes u to the cover page of the branch file.

But when i work from the main file (not a branch).
the links work fine.
this really harms my communication with the team 😦

Hey everyone! I’m happy to share that our engineers have fixed the bug that was causing issues with branched files not including the frame ID in the links generated by the Share panel. If you refresh your file now, you should see that the newly generated links will direct you to the selected frame.

I have the same issue. Unable to share with developers and lead them to correct place. Pls fix

Hey everyone! Thanks for flagging this.

We apologize for the inconvenience. It appears you may be encountering an issue our engineers are currently investigating with the links generated from the Share modal in files with branches.

I have added your case to our open investigation and I will let you know as soon as we have any updates.
In the interim, you should be able to copy links to your selection with these workarounds:

  • Copy the link with the shortcut CMD/CTRL + L
  • Copy the link from the right click menu > Copy/Paste as > Copy link to selection option
