In Figma, the shadow has to be requested to implement css, I wonder if I have to make the image separately for draft/export. Is there a way to export without a shadow effect? Or in practice, do designer have to create a separate extraction image that removes the shadow next to the draft?

I’ve been using Figma for a while and no matter what team I’m on, project I’m doing, or library I’m editing, Figma always does the same thing. It asks me to publish changes for design libraries, when no changes have been made for the past few hours… It asks me to review and accept changes from design libraries, when no changes have been made for the past few hours too… I would know, because I am the only one with access to that design library. Not sure why this happens all the time.

I love the UIUX design of this website: https://davehaverkort.com/ and wonder if Figma can do the split screen or 2 columns layout designs as this one (Vertical Scroll following the cursors and depending on the cursors being on the left or right screen without scrolling down both screens as the same time).

Hi, When using the Smartling plugin connected to Figma to export a project, we always apply the Delete Hidden Layers plugin before export. However, some hidden layers are still present when exporting to Smartling. What can we do about this?

I used to use shortcuts to quickly rename frames/groups/etc. — this helped me maintain the structure clear (I’m obsessive but don’t have time to give a name to each entity) Previously, it worked like this: I used shortcut cmd + r → I pressed delete → I pressed enter — took me like 2 seconds & resulted in Frame 1321314636 becoming just Frame, for example However, after the last update (I suggest?) this feature doesn’t work properly. Is there anyone who experienced this too? Did you manage to solve the problem? Still don’t understand why Figma would change this, so prefer to think this a bug

As a UX designer who often uses FigJam, I find it frustrating that I can’t lock simple shapes, like rectangles, to work over them without moving them. This feature is available on Miro and it’s incredibly useful. If Figma could add an option to lock objects, it would greatly simplify the design process for all of us. What do you think? 😇

Hi I am about to present a design for a client, but I am having issues with linking from a box placed in middle of page, to a new page. Hi, I’m trying to figure out a way to use the Plugin API to get various internal dimensions of a text node—specifically, the width of each line of text, and the (x, y) position of each line of text, or even better yet, the (x, y) position of any arbitrary character within a text node. Is this possible? See the attached image for clarification as to what I am trying to determine programatically.

There is no data in API response by which I can determine the exact color of a design if fills is Figma.mixed. I am working on a plugin and this seems to be an issue that has been bothering me for a very long time. Need your help guys!

I created an animated slide to confirmation, but instead of a confirmation button, I’d like a pop-up to appear as confirmation on the main screen (after a short delay) once the animation finishes of the slide finish. Context: I’m designing a Figma prototype for a “win a prize” interaction. Here’s the scenario: The user slides a button across the screen. As the button slides, the background changes from gray to green. When the button reaches the end of its track, it turns fully green and displays the text “You won!”. After a brief delay, a pop-up animation with confetti appears, congratulating the user. The pop-up should say “Congratulations!” and then “You won [prize name]!.”

We have recently identified an issue concerning our monthly billing. It has come to our attention that there are 8 unexpected users who have been granted full access to our system. This unanticipated increase in the number of full-access users has led to additional charges on our monthly invoice. Hi! I’m new to Figma. I tried using several plugins, including the Arc and Anima plugins, but none of them seem to be working. I’m following tutorials. For example, the Arc one won’t curve my text and just creates a new blank text component, and the Anima one won’t sync. I’ve tried using Safari, Chrome, as well as the Figma desktop app, and two different laptops to no avail.

I am designing a product card and encountering an issue. I want to make the card responsive using auto layout. So far, everything is going well. However, I have also added two properties, namely a label with the text ‘New’ and a wishlist icon. But when I disable one of these two properties, the other label shifts. I have the auto layout set to ‘Gap set to auto’. Does anyone have an idea? See enclosed images.

Hi Is it possible to make this as a component so that the button is placed immediately after the text ‘The colour you chose…’, regardless of how many lines the text breaks into? I want the button to always be positioned right after the text. Thanks for the help.

In the 1st image i am changing the value of a boolean variable to true and in the second image i am using that boolean to change the variant in other component but when i add a instance of the component in the frame it shows warning and doesn’t work. Can someone tell me how i should approach it?

for example, when an overlay is visible it causes another component to hide. I have this prototype where clicking on a bottle, cause a label to be displayed over the bottle. Clicking outside the overlay closes the overlay and on a different bottle causes the overlay to appear over that bottle. This is behaving as I want it to. There is a default label that is visible before any bottle has been clicked, but once another bottle has been clicked I want that label to be hidden. Is that possible. Test playground here

Hi, we need to publish a plugin quickly, but we are stuck with this notice: As per the manifest documentation, it shows that the ‘documentAccess’ field is optional. We do not want to use the dynamic page loading feature for now. How can we publish the plugin without enabling the dynamic page loading APIs for the Plugin ?

I want to create properties to hide/show layers inside a Component but the problem is when I set these properties to false the auto layout doesn’t shrink, it appears like it’s set to fixed size. these are the properties if I hide one item or if I hide Both items I have tried to create property for items parent but it leave this weird box in the design, although it’s not visible in prototype
