Hello, I am new to Figma, just a beginner in learning about the variables and the interactions. I’m designing an interactive map mobile application, in which when I click on the location tags displayed on the map it will show the respective information of that tag on another component. As shown in the image, if I click on the ‘tag 1’ it should display its information on the bottom blue section likewise for tag 2 and tag 3. Please if anyone can tell me the way to do this, I would greatly appreciate it.
Hello, I am having an issue while exporting comps in Figma. I am trying to export just one comp and Figma says “Downloading images 0/42” when actually there is not even one image and keeps saying that without exporting. Screenshot attached. I tried to install again the desktop app and also export the comp in the Figma browser and still the same issue. Anyone knows how can I solve this issue please? I have to deliver so many comps and this is driving me crazy. Thank you very much in advance.
I cannot open this menu on the canvas, only when I go to the layer menu. I tried to close and open, restart, reload the tab… nothing.
Hi there, I’ve tried to find a similar issue but couldn’t find one. We are having a problem where certain elements in components appear to have very strange layout which doesn’t match our intended designs. In reusable components, the layouts are all consistently incorrect: it often looks like text is shifted higher up than intended. When double clicking on one of these broken components, the layout fixes itself - however only for that specific instance of the component, not for any other ones. The incorrect layout re-appears when closing & re-opening Figma. I have also tried the “Clear Cache and Restart” option. This has no effect. Figma is running very slow suddenly, I can’t even move an object easily, is it because of Figma servers?
Hello friends, I’m sure the answer is obvious, I haven’t had luck search previous topics as I’m not really sure what to search for; so apologies if this is a repeat. My issue is: I have a Button component, the top level’s width is set to Fill and contains an auto layout container I make an instance of that component I set the text to something longer than the original component The top level of the instance does not expand to fit its contents I’ve seen a bunch of posts about conflicting width sizes, a fixed bug from earlier in the year about component resizing options not being reflected in instances; but I’m not sure if this is related to those or just me not understanding nested resizing methods. Any help would be really appreciated!
Does the measurement option only show the distance between objects or can it also show the size of a given object?
It’s odd that if I change manually a nested component with a text field, the copy stays in place, but if the same thing is done by variable mode, it does not work. What am I missing? Figma – 8 Jan 24
I am using Figma on my computer for 2 month, no issue but suddenly a issue starting to irritate me while running the presentation or preview of my design and prototype. After I run my design whether it is mobile design or desktop, it doesn’t fit resize or layout, I checked verious zoom mode, I also tried to reinstall Figma, but problem remaining same both on Figma desktop and browser, Sharing my screenshot of a demo design and preview here to make it clear the issue. Like I have taken android large frame preset, after running it this is how unfit it showing on preview, this problem remaining same on other files. Hope for a solution and Thanks you in advance.

However, upon attempting to access content from another team (Team A), we encountered difficulties with the devMode feature not functioning as expected. (I know it’s a stupid question) In light of this situation, we’re seeking clarification and potential solutions. Specifically, we have two inquiries: How long does it typically take to receive a response from Figma support regarding subscription-related inquiries or refund requests? We’re eager to understand the expected timeline for resolving such matters. Additionally, we’re exploring options such as requesting a refund for the Team B subscription or transferring it to Team A, where the content we need to access resides. We’re curious to know if such requests are feasible and what steps would be involved in the process. If any community members have had similar experiences or insights into Figma’s support
All the admin access from every collaborators in our Figma got revoked. No one is able to access it. Any idea why? #help

I’ve recently encountered an unusual behavior in Figma while working with nested components that have interactive prototyping involved. To better demonstrate the issue, I’ve created a short video. Here’s a brief rundown: I created a Component with a gray rectangle. I then made a Variant of this component, altering its height and changing its color to red. Using the Prototype feature, I linked the two variants to switch upon interaction. I turned an instance of this combined component into a new component. Instances of this new component exhibit inconsistent behavior in Preview mode. Specifically, the color changes on interaction, but not the height, unless the parent component is also interacted with. My understanding is that instances should behave independently during preview unless their parent component is modified in design mode. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this or if there’s something I might be overlooking? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly apprecia
Hi everyone! Ran into this recent problem with drop shadows where the shadow doesn’t conform to the border radii I’ve set on a frame. It appears to work correctly when I use a shape or a frame w/ bg color, but my “frame with icon” element and the “button” element appear to have a “squared” shadow. I recognized that it is not possible to move files when in the file itself where branches used. Is this a bug?
Just want to make sure this is possible with Figma variables, conditionals or Boolean statements. I have a user guide prototype with a list of 9 menu items on the overview screen - profile settings, submitting feedback, flight list, etc Users would click on the menu items to jump to the respective screens (just like a table of content) On the individual screens, I placed a menu icon to load an overlay with the same menu items. That way users can jump to any screen from anywhere Without creating 9 different overlays, how can I achieve changing the color of a menu item of the corresponding section the user clicked the overlay from? For example, if overlay is loaded from the Flight list screen, I want to have “Flight list” on the menu a different color
I can use the FigmJam Jira Widget to create Jira tickets from Figma sticky notes for one of our projects, but not for the others. I’ve checked Jira permissions and they all have the same permissions for “Create issues” - so not sure why I can create issues via FigJam for one project and not the rest. Any ideas?
Hi, I currently have a Professional Plan with 1 editor seat (for myself). I would like to add a second editor seat, but I want to be billed monthly, not annually. In settings, when I try to add a seat, it only gives me an option to add an annual seat (being billed annually). But I want to be billed monthly. How do I get this second seat billed monthly set up? After Jan 31 when Dev Mode is no longer free, will I be able to give devs access automatically when they request it, or will I have to manually allow every request? We post a prototype link and a Dev Mode link in our Jira stories, and since we have devs all around the globe, it would be nice if they could get access just by clicking a button instead of having to wait for me to approve their access. I know they’ll only need approval the first time, but it would still make for a smoother workflow.
Once I launch my plugin, on click I want to fetch all of the properties info and display them in JSON. I asked ChatGPT how to get hyperlinks added as interaction in the prototype tab, and he suggested something like this, but it is always displaying null. FYI I am not a developer, just testing something and I am stuck with this hyperlink property, so I need some help.
I’m trying to standardise the design process in my organization. My solution is to write a plugin that would render the relevant pages in Figma, and have designers work as per that structure. Here’s where I’m stuck: I want to drop a widget inside a Figma page, For example, I would like to drop a Mindmap widget (one I’m happy to write myself) inside the information architecture page, so designers can use that widget to create an IA diagram. I would also want to drop a cover page widget that lets designers choose from a set of hard-coded projects. As of now, I’m handling this with the “await Figma.createNodeFromJSXAsync” function. But this only renders nodes and not widgets. Any help would be appreciated 🙂
Hello Figma Community, I am an experienced designer so I’m guessing this is something Figma just can’t do because I can’t seem to figure it out. I’d like to build this alert bubble as responsive so I’d like to apply autolayout. It’s pretty straight forward but this has a speech-bubble-like design with the triangle on the outside. I’d like to apply union to the triangle and the rectangle then apply autolayout so that it is responsive but that is obviously not possible. I wanted to know if there is a workaround for something like this.
I’m having consistent issues with PDF export, where one or more elements is missing from exported PDFs. The missing elements are sometimes vector objects created in Figma, and sometimes raster images imported into Figma. I always confirm the elements are correctly inside the desired frame before PDF export. Are there any known issues that prevent PDFs from rendering correctly?
Hola comunidad, Tengo un frame principal (main component) donde realizo las ediciones, y cuando clono este frame a otras páginas, las ediciones se reflejan correctamente, pero los iconos que descargué desde Google Font Icons no aparecen en los clones. ¿Alguien ha experimentado un problema similar o tiene alguna sugerencia sobre cómo abordar este inconveniente? Agradezco cualquier ayuda o consejo que puedan proporcionar. ¡Gracias de antemano!
