I recently accidentally deleted a file from my Figma account. Since I am currently on the free plan, I understand that only users with a premium plan can request file recovery.

I would like to know if upgrading to a premium plan now would allow me to recover the file that was permanently deleted before the upgrade. Could you please confirm if file recovery would still be possible after purchasing a premium plan?

In general, users on all plans can restore trashed files (as long as they haven't been permanently deleted). As an initial workaround, please try the recommendations in this Help Center article: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360047512294-Delete-and-restore-files#restore 

 

As a reminder, there is no way to restore a permanently deleted file in your account. If you are on a paid plan (Professional, Organization, or Enterprize), you can provide Figma’s support team with a link to the file. They can confirm if the file has been permanently deleted and if it can be restored by filling out this form: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360005944714
