I want to solve the issue where the height value automatically changes from "Fixed" to "Hug" when combining (click create component set) duplicated components to apply a nested instance. That issue actually occurs even before applying a nested instance—just grouping the components triggers it. When I manually change the height from "Hug" to "Fixed" after combining the group, the size options defined in the original parent component no longer work as intended.[before combine components]buttons height is fixed (56)[after combine components]buttons height state is change with hug

When using the Pen Tool in Figma to create vector paths, the blue preview line that usually appears between the last anchor point and the current cursor position sometimes disappears unexpectedly. This makes it difficult to see how the path will continue and disrupts the drawing process.Expected Behavior:The blue preview line should stay visible while drawing a path, showing the expected curve direction and helping guide the next point.Actual Behavior:The preview line disappears unexpectedly, making it hard to continue drawing accurately.

 Within the past couple of weeks, I’ve had two design files where portions have started breaking, for lack of a better term.As you zoom in on the affected sections of the design, it blows up into square grid pieces over and over, rendering it unusable. This behavior does not affect the entire file, only parts of it. Some portions look/behave fine when zoomed in, but the affected portions do not. I work with two designers, and this only happens with one of them (so far, at least). I’m on Windows 11, designers on Macs. Latest release of Figma for everyone.What is going on?!`What happens when I zoom into a design​​​

Here’s an example of something I used to do that worked, but doesn’t seem to be supported anymore:Topic / Format / ProjectDetailedName_Topic_FormatI have to use this general format for the client I’m handing off some social media posts to and usually when moving through the topics, it’s been easy to batch rename, but now the search seems to stop after it’s found one instance of a term in the title rather than changing all matches. Generally, if I want to only rename one of these, I can narrow it down by including “ Format” or “_Format” etc, so I’m just a little confused with the change.Is this intended or a bug?

Let’s say I have a hundred or so changes to publish (not uncommon for a days work). I publish, and the blue dot remains afterwards. I click on the library icon, and am informed that there are still a few dozen unpublished modifications. I can republish a million more times and those changes won’t go away. Everything successfully updated and files using the library don’t see anything amiss, but for whatever reason Figma thinks that some components remain modified despite nothing being done to them. The thing is, when I restart Figma and publish, it publishes cleanly – no more blue dot, nothing left to publish. However, as I start to make more changes, this problem just starts up again. My next publish, say, another hundred updates, leaves a new large handful with a “modified” status no matter how many times I publish. Is this a bug? What’s gives?

Hello. Does anyone know why, when I change the color of the icon in a variant of a button in the main component, this change only affects instances of the same variant that have the same icon, but not those with a different icon? I've tried several methods, but this issue keeps happening. Am I the only one experiencing this, or has it happened to someone else? Does anyone know of another way (other than switching the variant of the instance) to solve this? 

Hi everyone,I’ve seen a few posts about users accidentally adding more seats than they meant to — but that’s not what happened here.I was on a call with our admin, who shared their screen while adding 3 annual seats to our plan. However, after the process was completed, 6 seats were added instead. We’re both absolutely sure that only 3 seats were selected. Unfortunately, we didn’t record the screen at the time, but we’re confident this wasn’t a user error.Figma team — could you please look into this and help us resolve it?Has anyone else run into something similar?Thanks!

I don't know what's going on with you lately, whether you're testing something or breaking it, but lately there have been a lot of bugs in figma, and some banal interactions just stupidly stop working (like smart angle changes, or blurring with smart animation, or some default options, like a banal state change in variants (without complex instructions in interactions they just break and don't work). What new things have you created that everything has gotten so much worse?

Hi!Two companies have merged and each team had their own figma accounts. Payment has been maintained for both accounts but we’d like to merge the organisations.The problem is that the admin for one account left the business and her email address was disabled before we realised she was the admin on the account so now we cannot get admin access to the one organisation but we still need those files.How do we get admin access to that account and then how do we merge the organisations?Thank you! 

Hi team!I have this following problem:I have Size which has options 1,2a offers 1a 2a 3a 4ab offers 1b 2b 3b 4bWhen i take out the component and look at variant 1 I should be able to see only 1a,2a,3a,4a. but i see 1a, 2a, 3a, 4a, 1b, 2b, 3b, 4b. If i click on 1b it switches me to b variant, naturally.So what gives? Am I doing something wrong here?

Does anyone else have the following problem?When annotations are visible on both dev and design mode, the Figma UI is laggier than when annotations are turned off where it’s more smoother? This is the case regardless if I have 5 or 20+ annotations on the screen.I have sufficient RAM on both the file and my laptop so it should be fine.

I have a big projects with lots of comments and they keep disappearing and only reappearing when I restart Figma. I also have comments that have been resolved reappear all of a sudden and old and resolved comments reappearing in the wrong place. In short, comments are a complete mess and I would like some official confirmation that they are messed up so I can  tell my client that this is a know bug.And why are comments once I resolve not disappearing anymore?

Hello hope you're doing good today. I am facing a problem with my figma account. I have no longer access to my student gmail account and suddenly I also lost access to my figma account too. But there so many important files that I need. Can anyone please help me to recovery my account?

I am the creator of this file, marked as the owner, but the file is locked and cannot be copied. The educational version has expired. When attempting to copy, I receive the message "Only editors of this file can copy it." Even my friend, who has editing permissions, is unable to copy it. (Other project files are functioning normally.)I tried to log into it from other browser(Safari, Chrome), logged out and re-login, no luck.
