Not sure if this is the right place to be reporting this (or if this is indeed a bug). In UI2, whenever I wanted to scale a component I would hit K and then use tab as a way to quickly move through to the height/width fields, and then type in a number. This is a shortcut I use very often - I’d go as far as to say it was one of my most used shortcuts. However now in UI3, for some reason when I hit K and tab through, it completely skips through the height and width fields and goes straight into the ‘1x’ field. In order to get to the fields above I’d have to shift+tab. IMO this makes no sense - tabbing should start at the first field in the ‘scale’ area. I imagine this is also an issue from an accessibility standpoint. Potentially this is a remnant of UI2 that was missed in the rebuild, as the fields used to be swapped over. Here’s a screenshot of what I mean:
Since both are centered aligned, the measurements are hidden :(
When manually updating the values on the aboslute position values left and right when aligned to the top and left inside a section doesn’t work. How to reproduce:Create a Section ouside the pages on Figma sites Add a frame inside the section Now select the framte, change the top and left values, click enter/return to apply The value revert to the previous ones. If I drag the frame the values upate in real time.
I have a component that used to have multiple variants (component set), but I edited it, and now it holds only one variant in it. I am trying to remove the only variant property that was left there, but without any success. I guess it has to do something with the definition of the component, and I somehow need to change it back from a component set back to a regular component. Help 🙏
создаю текст,но как бы я не расширяла параметры желаемого размера, сам текст остаётся маленький, а рамки расширяются так,как я хотела,мучаюсь уже пол года,что делать??
While testing out scroll transform interaction noticed it might not be working as expected?Would expect after clicking on To: default a list of variants would display except instead it’s a generic set of visual properties. Goal: I want to swap a transparent background header with a header that has a background on scroll.
So, I am on the same Figma page on the screenshot. Left is the Windows 11 app and on the right side is the Browser version. Why is the Variables Tab missing on Windows?I tried to delete the cache by deleting C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Figma\Desktop\ andC:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Figma\DesktopProfile\ folders.
Visual bug in Figma: message sent via / shortcut appears behind the Annotation component, making it hard to read. While navigating through the file, we identified an overlay issue in Figma’s interface: when using the chat feature (triggered via the / keyboard shortcut), the message sent remains positioned behind the Annotation element, making it partially or completely unreadable. This behavior hinders real-time communication among team members and affects the ability to follow interactions directly within the layout. The expected behavior is that the chat message layer should maintain visual priority or automatically adjust its position to avoid conflicts with documentation elements in the file.
I am having this issue/bug for when using an instance from a design library, whenever I am using component that has a text field with 2 different font sizes, then I try to edit or update the text info, it shows that the fonts are missing. This happens when I click and drag that component from the library that I am connected to.Now, if I use the component directly from the library (copy and paste) it works just fine. Can someone tell me what the issue could be?

Hey Figma, I just lost access to an important file of which I was the sole owner :( this is extremely nerve wracking, please restore the file ASAP!
Hi Everyone! On my Figma Site, when published, Some Gif’s will not appear and will show as a Blue question mark as image references below.Any idea on How to fix this?

In prototype mode, when a top layer has no defined interaction (e.g., no "on click" action), clicks on it are being ignored, allowing interactions from elements behind it to be triggered. This leads to unexpected behavior, especially in overlays, modals, or elements meant to block interaction.Steps to Reproduce: Create a frame with interactive elements (e.g., buttons with links). Place a new layer on top of the frame (e.g., a rectangle with 100% opacity) that has no interaction defined. Switch to prototype mode and preview. Click on the top layer. Expected Behavior:The click should not trigger any interaction behind the top layer. The topmost layer should block the click event, regardless of whether it has an interaction defined or not.Actual Behavior:The click goes through the top layer and activates the interaction of elements beneath it. Here is a link with a prototype that shows the problem, try clicking on the modal area that has no interaction:https://www.figma.com/proto/nr
I used to use non-breaking spaces in my variants and properties naming to build a multi level structure:🔹 property ↳ subpropertySo I can put multiple spaces and arrow is nicely aligned with the middle of the diamond. After last updates, all spaces, no matter if regular or non-breaking on the beginnning of the name are auto deleted. Could you fix that?Update - I just realized it’s still working, but on properties only.
Hi Figma Support Team,I'm reaching out because I’m unable to access a file I previously created on my Figma account. The file now returns a “Hmm, we couldnt find that one” error when I try to open it. I was the sole editor and only shared the file for viewing access with others. I did not intentionally delete it, and I don’t recall moving it to another location. Here are the details I can provide: Email address associated with my Figma account: anatoyedusi@gmail.com Approximate file name: Email Management Web App Was the file shared? Yes, it was shared for viewing only. Where it was created: In Drafts (personal workspace) Link to the file (if available): I’ve already checked my Drafts, search history, browser history, and confirmed I’m logged into the correct account. I’d appreciate any help you can offer in recovering or locating this file.Thank you in advance for your support.
Over the last few months Figma has started to run very slow. Even when performing simple tasks like deleting pages or publishing components, the difference in performance is extremely noticeable. I either see the loading spinner for way longer than I should or the icon in the top bar that indicates Figma is struggling to save changes. This is having an big impact on my (and my colleagues) productivity. Please can you investigate and report back?
Hello! There seems to be quite annoying bug with background blur effect. I’m using auto layout for entire page composition (each landing page section). First element in “content” container (let’s call it A) is a sub-navigation bar that has sticky position and background blur effect. When I run a prototype, the effect works as expected only above first container after the sticky bar (let’s call it B), but scrolling further, above another one (let’s call it C), sticky bar’s background becomes solid / opaque. Also — which I’ve found out by coincidence — if you make those consecutive containers scrollable horizontally (C, or D, etc) and put some element inside them that actually allows for horizontal scrolling (even for 1px) than background blur on the sticky bar (A) works correctly… But that doesn’t always work… HELP! Thanks! 😉
Hi everyone,I’m creating my typography system in Figma and have run into a problem.Setup I created three primitive Font family variables: Family/Title Family/Heading Family/Body Every text style is linked to that alias so we can swap fonts easily later. Problem All Title styles and Body styles work perfectly. For the Heading styles it only works in the first text-style set. In the other three variants: the variable chip is struck through; after Detach variable the font family immediately falls back to the first variant’s font. What I’ve tried Deleted and recreated the primitive variables. Deleted and recreated the alias variable “Font family (Title/Heading/Body)”. Restarted the document and Figma completely. Checked for style conflicts or overrides inside components (found none). The issue remains: only Heading set 1 works, the other three don’t.QuestionHas anyone run into this before or am I missing a step? Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks in a
Hi All,Not sure whats happening, but when I copied text from web page and pasted into my Figma desktop app, the text changed. This is happening randomly and hard to replicate. Here are the steps,Open Webpage Copy Traditional Chinese text Paste Traditional Chinese text Shows Simplified Chinese textThe randomness observed is, It doesn’t always happen Some pages are fine Some pages shows issues It takes a few days to show up
The icon in the comment box is not visible in the Figma desktop app.
Hi everyone,I’ve been testing the new Figma Website feature and I’m running into a problem: horizontal scrolling doesn’t seem to work.Details: Scrolling only works with the mouse wheel — I can’t click and drag to scroll like I can in classic prototypes. I’m trying to create horizontally scrollable elements (like filter chips or even a full webiste with horizontal scroll), but it’s not usable in this case. Everything works fine in regular prototypes. Is this a bug, a current limitation of Figma Website, or maybe something wrong on my side (outdated version)? Thanks in advance for any help or insight!
Double clicking should bring back the arrow cursor.

Is it true that after moving a file to another team and project the libraries are no longer linked? Or is this a bug. We have the idea that this did not happen before.
