Hi, I’m trying to create an animation where I open an overlay (bottomsheet) and then navigate within the latter, by opening menus and sub-menus. I’d like to apply a simple push right or left animation with the possibilty to keep the matching layers (bottomsheet header) still while I swap overlays. Yet, it seems like this animation is not possible ? I can only select “Smart animate” or “move in”, which does not have the same feel in terms of navigation (either dissolves the changing content (smart animate) or replaces the whole overlay (move in) and doesn’t even keep the matching layers... Why would there be a limitation in terms of “Animation style” when swapping overlays, knowing that an overlay replacing another one with a push animation seems like a natural behavior (like two frames replacing one another, but within a frame). Does anyone have this issue? Is it a bug? Thanks for the help! :)

I have a component where I want one of the menu items to open an overlay so I prototype this on the main component. However when any instances of the component won't open the overlay. 

For some reason I cannot publish a new version of my OAuth app (added a new scope) – the button stays disabled. I get some form validation warnings in the console, perhaps it is related? Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi,I’m exploring Figma Sites for the first time and doing everything step by step to better understand how it works. I created a simple frame with text on the left and an image on the right, using auto layout throughout. However, when I copy it into Sites, select my frame, and set the auto layout property to “Fill container,” it doesn’t work — the element doesn’t resize as expected. I followed the exact same steps shown in the YouTube tutorial, but my file doesn’t behave the same way. Could you help me figure out what’s wrong with my file?

Bonjour,J’ai rencontré un problème étrange avec l’outil Ligne (L) dans Figma.Lorsque je trace une ligne dans mon projet, elle apparaît parfaitement dans l’interface, mais disparaît complètement à l’exportation (notamment en PDF ou PNG).Voici les détails : La ligne est bien créée avec l’outil L, pas un guide ni une grille. Elle est visible sur le canevas et a bien une épaisseur (ex. 3 px) et une couleur visible. Elle se trouve dans la frame exportée et n’est pas masquée par un autre calque. Malgré cela, elle n’apparaît pas dans le fichier exporté, alors que d’autres lignes tracées de la même manière (par exemple à la verticale) s’exportent correctement. J’ai déjà essayé différents formats d’export (PDF, PNG, JPG) sans succès. Cela donne l’impression que la ligne existe bien dans le design, mais qu’elle est ignorée lors de l’exportation.Pouvez-vous m’aider à comprendre pourquoi certaines lignes disparaissent à l’export alors que d’autres s’affichent correctement ?Merci d’avance p

Dear Figma,We’re facing an issue where our developer can’t see the color codes in my design file. He used to be able to check them normally, but now they don’t show up.I tested it with my account — the color codes appear correctly in the desktop app, but not in the web browser. For his account, the color codes are missing in both the desktop app and the browser.I’ve attached two images for reference — one from the desktop app and one from the web browser (both from my account).Could you please help us check this issue? 

Hi, i am experiencing a condition where i try to make some changes in figma make, but the preview in the editor is not change, while when i open the full-screen view the changes appears. this case happened often times, anyone experiencing the same?i experiencing in many cases, here one of itthis is the view on the editor (see “kembali ke dashboard”), where i am stuck hereand here in full view, i can login and enter the dashboard 

I applied for Figma Education verification last Friday because I plan to use Figma for a student program starting this weekend. Hi all, I canceled my subscription last month but still got charged today. I’ve sent a form through but does anybody know if they do reply to those forms? Also does anybody know how long it would take for the money to come back? It’s $22 but I am still a low income student.😅

Hello, My Figma account has been locked and I can't use it anymore.  I’m facing an urgent issue where an important project has disappeared from my Figma account.  It shows font-weigh: 400 on Firefox 144.0 (view node) and doesn’t show variable name  But in the full mode and dev mode it shows font-weigh: 300 and still it doesn't show variable name Design mode 

There used to be a preview of variable details in Dev mode, opened directly from the Inspect panel - now it’s gone. To see this information, you have to open the file with variable definitions (we have components and foundations separately) from the Variable details panel, which means worse usability for developers. Has this change been implemented on purpose, or is it a bug?   

Hey everyone,I’m having an issue where frames nested inside a parent frame don’t respect their constraints when viewing a prototype on a mobile browser (tested on both iOS Safari and Android Chrome).In the Figma editor everything works perfectly, inner frames resize as expected when the parent frame changes size. But when I share the prototype link and open it on a phone: Child frames inside a parent frame don’t follow their top/bottom/left/right constraints. It seems like the mobile prototype viewer scales the parent frame as a flat image instead of actually resizing it, so the nested constraints never recalculate. The layout looks fine in the desktop viewer and the Mirror app, the issue only appears in mobile browsers.Here’s what I’ve already tried: Setting the parent frame to the exact device size (e.g., 390×844 for iPhone 13) Using Auto layout + “Fill container” instead of fixed widths Disabling the “Show device frame” option Testing both “Fit width” and “Fit to screen” scali

When I export a frame or component at any scale factor (@2x, @3x, or custom), Figma sometimes adds an extra 1 pixel to both the width and height.For example: A 100×100 frame exported at 3x should result in 300×300, but instead, I get 301×301  or 300x301 or even 301x300. This does not always happen, but when it does, it's consistent across devices and files. Affects both PNG and JPG exports, regardless of pixel grid alignment or stroke presence. 🛠️ Workarounds I’ve Tried (with partial success): Creating a new frame, copying content into it, and exporting again — occasionally works. Manually scaling the frame by the desired factor (e.g., scale by 3x), then exporting at 1x — this consistently avoids the 1px error. However, these are not ideal for batch exporting or asset automation.

Thanks for the reply ​@Junko3 . I have refreshed Figma a couple of times with no change, and the issue is across all files. I usually only use Figma in Chrome, but just downloaded the desktop app and the files seems to work fine there. Me, and whole my team experience the same issue. But for me, desktop app does not work either.

I’ve been using Figma Make to ideate, and sometimes I get frustrated and end up swearing at the AI. I know that’s silly, but when I did, it said I violated a policy and rejected my request. The issue is that even after I stopped swearing, I still get the same error message: “Please try a different input.”I tried waiting a few hours, but the problem didn’t go away. I even duplicated the file, but the duplicate has the same problem. I can’t use that Figma Make file at all anymore, even if I restore earlier versions and try working on them.What’s going on here? The AI already struggles with following instructions, and now I can’t even interact with it.

I’m still having all sorts of weird problems with Figma, not as bad as the AWS outtage yesterday, but still blocking work. What is happening to Figma?- Files not saving- Libraries not working- “Go to main component” not working  

There are still problems with FIGMA slides. The entire right side bar with all of the design tools just completely disappears when you click on any image to edit or change, in any presentation file. It doesnt happen in new blank presentation files, but it does when you copy and past older presentation files or images into it. Something is very wrong. The Slides too is completely useless without the design tools on the right side. [This post was moved from “What happened to Figma?” and split into a new topic, “Right sidebar missing when editing images in Figma Slides,” by a moderator on 21-Oct-2025.]

To who may help! I have included image of loading screen it. As well as inspect tool. I cleared all cache and history and nothing changed.  Thank you, John

Updated Figma this AM. In Figma Slides now when you open a document and click on any image, the entire right side bar tools all disappear. the entire panel. There is no way to get it back. So there is no way to manage any elements, colors, shapes, cropping.The left panel and the bottom center toolbar both seem to work.Figma is completely useless to us - AND FAST - if this isnt resolved in the next several hours.

Anyone having issues with z for zoom on the desktop app?And clicking to pan canvas not working?Just updated to Figma Desktop App version 125.9.10
