Hello i have been trying to transition from the free version to educational version using my university email and other id information but figma keeps giving me error saying that the data are not enough or i have given something in other language even though there is only English. i have tried giving my id card with both sides displaying my full name and picture with university logo, i tried giving a screen shot with my university sis menu with all information, even with list of course i took with their marks but nothing works.

Hi @Mohammed Moosa - sorry for the trouble with verification. If I understand your message correctly, you’re getting a rejection email that states your documents proving your eligibility are not valid. Is this coming from SheerID, or have you not contacted them yet?

If you’re running into issues with your application, please reach out directly to SheerID for support as they manage Figma's Higher Education verification process (if you haven’t already). I am not able to review or make changes to educational plans.

If SheerID still determines you are ineligible for the Figma for Education program, you can still use Figma and retain your existing work. You have the option to downgrade to the free 'Starter' plan or upgrade to a Professional plan. Please refer to our guides for more information, and submit a ticket directly with our team if you need help upgrading to a Professional plan.

The messages for from verification were from sheerID so i think they see me as illegible even though i provided what im being asked for, im not getting a clear message on what went wrong.

Gotcha - in your case then, yes - you’ll want to reach back out to SheerID with the instructions I provided in my last response. Figma is not able to make determinations on who is eligible and who isn’t. SheerID owns that process. They may be able to review your documents.

Here’s a link to their contact form again for reference: https://support.sheerid.com/en-US/help-center

I also would suggest reviewing your work to see if you can meet your needs on our start plan, or decide to purchase a professional upgrade.

I understand this may not be an ideal situation. Unfortunately, there isn’t anything else I can recommend at this time.
