Report a Problem

I previously had access to AI design tools and now they are gone. I’ve checked my settings, and they’re switched on, so I’m not sure what’s going on. I’d love to have them back if possible—thanks for your help!

Why is Figma all of a sudden just slamming the memory and battery on my MacBook Air M1 with 16GB RAM? It started maybe a week ago and I can barely work anymore. I've provided some screenshots that show just how many Figma processes are open and how ridiculously expensive they all are. Memory consumption, 9 processesEnergy consumption 

I’ve gone through all the memory/performance improvement steps for the desktop app. The only thing I haven’t done is break up my files. To be clear. These very same files worked just fine prior to UI3. So I don’t think the problem is really the files. The only way I can break up my component lib (which is smaller than any I’ve seen in the community) would be to put variables in one lib, text styles in another, inputs in another, etc. The only way I can make my files smaller would be to only have 1 page per file. Most of the performance threads I’ve seen are around specific issues or prototypes. My performance issues are with any and every aspect of Figma. Loading files being the most annoying. I’m also on an M2 Ultra Mac Studio with 192 GB of memory. It’s not my setup. Is UI3 just worse all around on memory?

I can't see the Total Views or Individual Product Views under the Metrics tab after updating to the latest version. Could someone help me determine if this is an issue specific to my account or a general problem affecting all users in the community?    

There is a problem when we use Instance Swap, the initial min-width setting remains and is not reset when we swap the element.Example of the image below:The button has a min-width of 60px, when I swap it for the icon-button it maintains the 60px min-width, however, the icon-button does not have a min-width and should be 40px x 40px.  

Recently, I often encounter the error Figma is not defined in the console The Figma plugin API in the global variable no longer exists. Refresh the page to restore it to normal This is an occasional problem that has appeared recently. It is very disturbing. Did the recent Figma update break something?

My settings are: I would expectNAME.svgNAME@1.5x.pngBut I getNAME@2.svgNAME.pngLike it’s an *.svg, “@2” makes no sense? Is there something I’m overlooking here?I have even downloaded sketch for cross-checking. Skech behaves as expected.and i mean figma behaved like that once as well?!

I'm encountering an issue updating the Chakra UI - FigPilot plugin to version 16. The error message reads: Could not publish plugin: Bad request. The upload API call appears to be failing, but there are no visible form errors.The original library author, Segun Adebayo, has given me the necessary rights to update the plugin.Please advise on how to resolve this issue. 

All of a sudden any component I drag from the assets menu or choose from a plug in like MaterialUI disappears as soon as it hits my canvas. I can see the bounding box of the frame highlighted in purple, but there is no content inside. I also can’t copy/paste anything into the file. I’ve tested on desktop and web multiple, and it persists. The kicker is that this is only happening in one file. Is there some kind of weird setting I accidentally enabled with an accidental keyboard shortcut? I’m so confused and also now literally can’t do my work…. Thanks!

Hello everyone! I’ve encountered a very annoying bug that has made it almost impossible to work in Figma.   As you can see here, if I select a text element and another element, using the shift and release the shift button, it duplicates the text and deselects the elements i wanted to group. Curiously, rectangle or any other drawn elements do not duplicate when selected, and there is a work-around by selecting two elements by dragging your coursor, but it is not a realisting fix in any scenario. It is only an issue on my Macbook Pro M2, as my other laptop (Macbook Pro Intel) doesn’t seem to have this bug.  I would be very grateful for any tips and suggestions!

I want to apply a blend mode to a blurred object, but when I blur it, the blend mode disappears. There was no such thing in the old versions. I can’t update it.I have a problem where the text in the component and its instances doesn’t update when I change the font weight in the text styles.styles does not update to reflect changes made to the component. Steps: - I created a button component, and the text in the button uses text styles- The font in the text styles is linked to a variable Issue:When I change the font weight in the text styles, the button text in both the component and its instances doesn’t update.Note: this issue only happen when the font is linked to a variable. Figma file here

Hi,I'm having an issue with publishing some updates in Figma. When I try to publish the library updates, I get an error for 38 changes (text-related), and it doesn't update them.I'm also running into a problem with instances. I changed the content colours using local variables, and it updated the design system file. But when I publish the changes, the instances still follow the old colours. For example, the table cell component and all the table instances are still showing the old design, not the updated one.Thanks in advance

I have two Figma accounts - a company account and a personal account. On the company account, the keyboard shortcuts for zoom are:1 for Zoom to fit2 for Zoom to selectionCOMPANY ACCOUNTOn the personal account, the keyboard shortcuts for zoom are:Shfit + 1 for Zoom to fitShift + 2 for Zoom to selectionPERSONAL ACCOUNTThis is driving me crazy as I’m always hitting the wrong shortcut in the wrong account. TL;DR: figma.ui.reposition only works until user moves the window for the first time. Background During development of Parrot we found the need to support different Window Modes like Fullscreen, Docked to the Bottom or modal window - as requested by others - see links below. Hello!I have a problem. Now I am living in Russia and have mobile operator “Megafon”. When I am using it, I can’t open Figma boards and also page “Recents and Sharing”. How can it be, if it is fast?

It’s quite frustrating i can’t resize Figjam stickies. Or at least its inconsistent. sometimes I can sometimes I can’t.

If I export a frame as an SVG, Figma adds a phantom rect element to the file that is not in the design. Note if it helps troubleshoot: the bug doesn’t happen if you go to SVG export settings and check “Ignore overlapping layers”. Please stop adding elements that shouldn’t be there; this is causing render artifacts for some of our products.

when I use the LIBRARY_PUBLISH webhook, the description returned by the API is not always correct.Sometimes it corresponds to the previous version.Has anyone else encountered this issue?It seems like the problem is coming directly from Figma.

Sadly I have to work on a Windows computer, so whenever I type a special character, it’s done with alt + 3 digits. But when I do that, the special character replaces the character that it comes after. This drives me crazy, and it’s unlikely they’ll be giving me a Mac(book) anytime soon...

Hi guys, In the current UI (NOT beta), the variable selector behavior has changed for the worse. When the variable name is long (or has a long path) the buttons to detach the variable or to find the element using it within a selection become hidden behind the right border. Since the right-side panel cannot be resized, it is super annoying. Please provide a fix – I don’t want to switch to the beta UI just yet or introduce changes to my variables' taxonomy (duuuh...).  Additionally, I cannot select a variable from a list by clicking its name (I used to be able to do so before). Now I need to always click the swatch.
