[FIGMA UI UPDATE INTERFERES WITH CUSTOMER DESIGNS]
On-canvas video controls from a recent figma update overlays non-dismissible UI on top of our design surfaces in the design view. This is incorrectly making all of our design files look like we’ve injected video players everywhere all because we use video loops as background layers to provide real-world context. This one update impacts thousands of pages and hundreds of files on my team alone and is causing confusion for the PMs, engineering partners and leadership when randomly we are showing work that now has a Play button and the world [ VIDEO ] all over our files and presentations.
This needs to be reverted, or cause our design org alone hundreds of hours in lost productivity removing video fills and replacing them with static just to hide a UI that should NEVER been placed over your customers design surfaces. It is ridiculous this implementation made it past your internal review process and showed up on top of our designs without any mechanism for removal.
