I'm relatively new to Figma, and I look for the best way to do this: A button has states like checked/unchecked (an option in a filtering bar of a web shop or "add to favorites" button that changes from only stroke to a filled shape and back) and also has a hover effect that changes its shade, and when you switch its state (by clicking/pressing it), hover remains there until you move away the cursor, seamlessly, without that blink/flicker when it turns into the default version of new state and only then to a hovered one.So the full cycle (of pressing it twice) is "1 → 1 hover → 2 hover → 2 → 2 hover → 1 hover → 1".But it's on PCs/laptops. On phones/tablets, the hover is shown while you touch the button, and after removing your finger, it goes straight to a new state without hover.Full cycle: "1 → 1 hover → 2 → 2 hover → 1". I want it to take as few components as possible. Hi. for the past week I've been having an issue with viewing prototype flows using the 'Present' button (please see the video link to help illustrate the issue I'm having).https://www.loom.com/share/ff7e9f4d19474864b3f08c44fe231811Basically when I click the 'Present' button, rather than opening the selected flow it instead opens two tabs in Figma. One tab is blank and the other one is the first cover page within the Figma file itself (not the flow). I also get the same issue when launching a preview of the flow (this part works ok) and then clicking 'open in presentation view'. Has anyone else had this issue and if so, how did you fix it?Cheers!

Copy+Paste is mostly broken.I can't copy text then paste it into the AI prompt field. I can see that it copies successfully, but I can't paste it back into the app, I first have to paste it into another app (ie: Notes) then copy it from there and paste it back into the app (only then does it work).Similar issue with copying properties (ie: styles, or a background image). If I use the context menu to copy the properties, then I can paste them over to another layer successfully. But when I Cmd+Shift+C, the properties don’t go to the clipboard, although when I copy them through the context menu then Cmd+Shift+V does paste them to the target layer.I can verify that restart and reinstall do nothing, and there are no interfering settings with the OS (macOS) or other apps. This is an issue I’ve been experiencing for months on my old Mac, and recently tried it on a different Mac and it’s exhibiting the exact same.

Currently, I am working on naming a ton of pages in a single file. I have noticed, if I hold down shift when hitting the spacebar, the text indicator does not move. It may register the spaces if i use the arrow keys, but the placement of where i am typing does not move. This is very frustrating as every other app on my Mac adds spaces like normal here.

Whenever I click on ‘Show prototype settings’ on the desktop the left and right side panels disappears and nothing happens

I have a Side bar component set up like this:Base component with Size and Levels variants – here’s where I placed an icon instance Master component with States and Brand/Neutral variants. Enabled state: label and icon use color token Content-Secondary. Hovered/Focused state: use color token Content-PrimaryWhen users insert the component, they choose the Level and can swap the icon instance to an icon they need. The issue is that the color tokens are not being preserved properly according to the state when you change the states and then change the icon, like this:Change state from Enabled to Hovered. In Enabled, icon color is Content/Secondary. Swap the left icon (from Settings to any other icon). All good, the icon changes color to Content/Primary as expected. Change state back to Enabled. Icon color correctly changes to Content/Secondary. Swap the left icon. It incorrectly swaps the icon color to Content/Primary. Change state to Hovered. Icon color is correct (Content/Primary). Hey everyone, I’m struggling with instance swapping for icons. In my icon library, I have 2–3 color variations and 2–3 size variations for the same icon, and it’s a pretty large library. I’ve already corrected the naming and layers according to best practices and expected the swap to work, but the icon button color still doesn’t stay preserved when I change variations. Has anyone faced this issue before? Any ideas on how to solve it?Also, I’d really appreciate if someone could share an example of how to structure naming conventions when managing multiple icon sizes and color variations. Thanks in advance!

I have an icon component - it shows a single color selected in the properties panel and when I change it on a part of the icons changes to the selected color (even though it’s a single vector)

I have always logged in to Figma as [redacted by moderator to remove personal information] (connected via Google) but since Google made changes to domain "hotmail.com" (I assume hotmail not in use anymore), everytime I used that “hotmail”  account to login, figma automatically log my account as "gmail.com" instead of "hotmail.com" and I cannot see any of my documents or works, completely blank, basically new account.

Problem: When I apply the Underline decoration formatting to text that includes a superscripted ‘registered trademark’ symbol (this is a non negotiable inclusion), the underline hugs the baseline of the superscript part, so visually the line breaks between the non-superscripted characters. Font being used is Arial for accessibility reasons so it cannot be changed.I have seen other users posting this issue as far back as 2024 and there has clearly been no fix other than the suggestion to change fonts which is not possible. Arial is such a universally used system font I can’t understand why this is even an issue to begin with.Below is an illustrated breakdown of the issue: Desired effect... ...and what I get in Figma.

Hello,I applied Figma for Education using my school email, but I am having an issue with the verification process. When I click the verification link sent to my email, it does not show any student verification steps of document submission page. Instead, it immediately redirects me to Figma login page. After logging in, the Education plan still doesn’t appear in my account. And when I try again, it says that I have already been approved. Could you please check my verification statues and whether there is an issue with the link or account sync? Thank you.

Figma is a fucking scam, I've ask them to cancel my subscription, they doesn't fulfill it and continue to charge me next month.

Hi, we were setting up our color variables for light and dark mode and noticed that the preview of the colors in dark mode do not represent the actual value behind it. Anyone has any idea why this happens and how to fix it?  A little backstory, we have set up core, base and applied tokens in the variables window. The base level is where we set up theming. However, in our applied level we sometimes overwrite a color for a specific token in dark mode. However, when we do this, the preview seems to show the colors as presented in light mode instead of dark mode. When we actually apply the token, it all works properly, it is just the preview in the variables window that shows the wrong color.
