I have a button component with the typical default, hover and active states for mouse over animation, nothing special. I want to click this button and: Navigate to a new frame Open an overlay on this frame. If I map multiple On Click actions to a static element then this works. As soon as I try to map these actions onto a button component, only the first action of navigating to a new frame works. So I can’t get it to work on a hover animated button and I have no idea why this would be the case. I don’t have any conflicting actions with the danger icon on anything. Please help! Thanks. Edit: To clarify, I even tested this with a component that had the 3 button states but didn’t have any prototyping links between the states in the component and it worked just fine. As soon as I added a link to a hover state variant the multiple On Click actions broke.

Hei, I discover interaction between normal text and text with underline not work. One component is normal text the other is with underline. At first the hover effect worked without text input changing. When I changed text in the instance, then interactive effect disappeared.

Calling all Figma Prototyping Gurus!!  Interaction challenge. Trying to incorporate a pretty common interaction these days of a UI panel expanding smoothly from it's position in a scrollable stacked grid to a detailed view, then contracts back when closed.  I feel like I've explored every avenue to figuring this one out (Smart animate, scroll position states on/off, using overlays, swapping overlays, chanting to the gods...) unfortunately, looking like it's not possible in Figma. As soon as the grid stack of panels is scrolled out of it's original position it breaks the interaction. So, before I lose all my hair and close the book on this one, thought I put it out there and see if anyone else has or can figure a work around to this basic interaction. 

Please get back old verion of Grid with Wrap function! New one is not working well and it doesn’t fit needs of the projects!New Grid doesn’t support vertical Hug, It makes strange gaps between components in grid based on size of the container.

Hi Figma,I’m new to Figma and just started yesterday. I was working on a project using the AI Beta feature, which allows 3 free uses per day, and I’m really happy with the progress so far. I was planning to upgrade to the Professional plan (with a seat) so I could continue working on it. While searching today for free options for students, I came across the Education plan and got verified. Unfortunately, when I revisited my project, this plan doesn’t include access to the AI Beta feature I was using. How can I revert back to the normal plan and pay instead, so I can continue my project? Also, if I upgrade, will I still be able to access the project I was working on? It’s very important to me. Thank you so much!   

I was approved on student plan with my personal email while working with one school but I switched to other school where I want to be the educator. Since I was already approved on student plan I don't have option to change to educator's plan. I contacted Figma's support but as I see they sent bot reply which isn't connected to my case and repeats what I have already read in the internet. Can anybody help me figure out how to approach this case? 

I’m having trouble finding the Auto Layout configuration after updating to the latest version of the Figma Desktop app (I’m using a Mac). It’s no longer showing up in the usual spot on the right-hand panel.Below a screenshot showing two rectangles that are already using Auto Layout, but I can’t seem to find the configuration settings for it. 

We (as a team) had created a full page and from one to another it has disappear. We can’t recover it even going back to the version history. Has anyone gone through similar experience?

Hi all, Is there any way to find out the contact info of the author/designer of a figma file?? 

In my company, we have strict security policies, and I need to ensure compliance before using MCP. Specifically, I would like to understand where the server is initiated when the get_code_connect_map command is executed. Does it run on my local machine, or is it hosted on Figma's servers? Any clarification on this would be greatly appreciated!

​​​​​​Hi gang, Im having an issue with some style variables that were added to old version of DS file still showing even after I removed from the file Im working in and removing the shared library where they came from. Context: This variable was created to switch from IOS to Android stylings, but once we started using them we found it was super buggy and we’ve changed our approach.So the issue is now, I had created a duplicate of the DS library file to start improving and fixing some of the issues and components as the original was being used in an active project, I removed the original library from the new one, but now the variables from the old file are still showing up. Any advice would be amazing ❤️

✅ Problem solved! My team and files were successfully restored via the email link from Figma.  Thank you everyone — no further help needed 🙌

I move someone from a Collab seat(Plan subscription) to a View seat, their Collab seat becomes available and then I assign the seat to another person but why Figma show invoice that I have renewing monthly seat?

This file may have been deleted, moved, or made unavailable."J’étais connectée avec l’adresse : [redacted], et certaine de ne pas avoir supprimé le fichier car ma dernière consultation remonte au 7 juillet 2025 et tout allais bien.J’ai tout vérifié (drafts, corbeille, autres comptes...) mais impossible de retrouver le document. It works fine on other browsers like MS Edge and Chrome. I’ve noticed the same issue in Firefox while using Confluence as well.Has anyone else faced the same? And any idea on how to resolve this?What I’ve tried until now:Updated / reinstalled Firefox. Cleared browser cache.

HI! just noticed that when i upscale an object with a stroke applied to it. the stroke maintains its width. Is there a way for the stroke to scale with the object? (Just like in Illustrator) Using Scale tool not an option, as it indeed scales up the width of the object, but when dealing idth icons, as soon as you swap an instance, the new instance reverts back to original width. I was in a Team Project in a Started Mode and since I'm a newbie I didn't know that files created in the Drafts section are attached to that team project, I thought they were my personal drafts. I left the team project and now I can't access that draft. I found guidance how the owner can recover it (I had "can edit" access) but the guidance was only for professional plan and I didn't delete the file in the Drafts section, I only left the team project. Will I be able to access it again if my account gets added back?Or can the owner somehow access the file that i created in the Drafts section? The thing is two of my accounts were in that project, and by looking at Drafts section of account that is still in that Team Project, that file doesn't appear.What can i do? How can I or the owner access that file that I had in the Drafts section of the Team Project that I created when my account was one of the members of that Team Project

How can I edit a file created in Make in Figma?

Hi, I’m trying to write a plugin that will create slide decks based off a template and spreadsheet of data.I want to write template slides that use some syntax such as `{{field}}` where anything in `{{}}` is considered the column name and for every row in the table a new slide is created with the placeholder replaced with the value from the spread sheet.I need to have more than one slide that is the template. So I want to be able to name the slides.Having looked around I should be able to rename the frame that represents the slide. However this isn’t possible.I’ve been following these instructions https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039958934-Rename-Layers The problem is the layer view doesn’t show me anything that represents the whole slide. Is it even possible to set the name of a slide?

cmd + shift + enter, what would you expect that to do? what about cmd + enter?imo enter for sibling, tab for child. but up to y’all. rn it just feels unintuitive and a cumbersome
