I had figma free education plan which i applied for now they emailed me to re-verify by september 29 or I'll lose those pro features now I joined figma recently a month back i have re-applied for verification but they say i have exceeded limit for verification or availed this offer. Hi. I’m having some issues with auto layout and map scrolling.I’ve created a map and a bottom nav bar, got it to scroll correctly, and using auto layout to make it responsive (the map and nav bar resizes and displays correctly).The problem is that the HUD (map zoom etc.) layer wont resize with the the screen.To make it stay on top of the map, I’ve set it to fixed position, and therefore the auto layout don’t work. I’m a complete newbie with Figma, but i know this is possible to achieve, I just don’t know how.Attached a screenshot of the Layer view, and two screens showing the issue.Appreciate any help.

There is a bug on the contrast checker and I'll try to describe the bug here with some visuals.Imagine you have a fixed frame with a list of items that overflows that fixed frame, and those list items are for example a rectangular frame with a text inside it. The hierarchy would look like this:The first two items correctly show the white foreground color within the contrast checker and also the correct background color (red)but on the third item only the foreground color (white text) is correctly shown, the background color is shown as my canvas background color (303030), which is technically a background, but the wrong one. It should still be the red background of the frameThe color contrast checker should default back to the nearest hierarchy and take that element as the background. Right now it feels like it’s checking within the canvas what the background is and not within the hierarchy.

I’m reaching out because an important file has suddenly disappeared from my account. I’m the owner of the file, but when I click on its link, I get the following message:“This design file may be deleted, moved or made unavailable. Try reaching out to the file owner.”The problem is that I am the owner of this file, and it doesn’t appear anywhere. Not in “Drafts to Move”, not in “Trash”, and not in any of my team projects. I’ve also confirmed that I’m logged into the correct account.This file is extremely important for my work, and I need to recover it urgently. I have deactivated my domain with address assigned to my Figma account account and I haven't changed it to a new one. Now I need to assign a new email so I can access my Figma account. How can I do that? I am not longer able to access my old domain. I paid for upgraded version of Figma and I have bank account receipts to prove I am the owner.Can you help me please?

I’m trying to set up an alert that shows up like an overlay, kind of how it would in a regular Figma prototype, but in Figma Sites. Since Sites doesn’t support overlays, I can get something similar working using a reveal interaction.The tricky part is that I only want the alert to appear when someone gets to this page from a specific button or page, not when they land here directly or from somewhere else. In Figma Design, I could do this by giving the button two interactions (navigate → then open overlay).I can get it to work by creating two versions of the same page, one with the alert and one without, but that’s not ideal because I’d have to keep both versions updated every time I make changes.I also tried to get this working through a code layer, but no matter what I do, it doesn’t seem to work. I don’t think the code layer has a way of knowing where the user came from.Any better way to handle this? 

I canceled my Figma subscription a week ago, and my account is currently showing as on the free Starter plan. Despite this, I was charged for the Professional team subscription for the period from September 3 to October 3, 2025.This situation raises serious concerns about potential system failures or even misleading practices. I expected my cancellation to be processed correctly, yet I find myself facing an unexpected charge. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Whenever I set a frame either min or max width, ‘left and right’ constraint is disabled. Is this a bug? Or is there’s any reason?

Hey, I’ve ran into a weird problem and want to see if anyone else has this problem or a solution.Right now my team is working on updating our UI library and organizing our main components into frames to display them clearly (similar to how Material Design type kits lay them out). The way we have our components set up is we apply an auto layout to the frame that’s created once you add a variant to a component.Since we’re wanting to clean up the display of the components, we’re trying to get the variables a neater layout and have tried using the grid layout as they allow you to place the variables next to one another & give you blank spaces that you cant get with an auto layout that just has a wrap.As I’ve been moving things into grids, I noticed that all of the interactions applied to the variants have been completely deleted and I’m not sure why. I know grids are still in beta so it could be a bug, but I want to double check just to make sure it’s not me doing something wrong so I

 I’m trying to create an absolutely placed footer that contains a form.  It can expand to 1000 and then should be centered if the screen size is greater than that.  If the screen is less than 1000 then it should shrink to a minimum of 300.  The container seen in white has auto layout applied.How do I prevent the blue box from breaking out of the layout?  

I’m working on a presentation that contains several prototypes. I’ve set specific widths and heights for the prototypes so that I can scroll inside them.However, when I click on a prototype in the editor, the specified height is randomly removed, and the prototype expands to its full height. This happens even if the aspect ratio is locked.I’ve tried closing and reopening the files, but the bug persists

I have a product with core components that are used across multiple clients. In each client, the component is "dressed" with the client's colors and fonts. I'd like to keep the core component connected to the library, but when used in the client file, the client's colors and fonts are applied.I tried to do this using variable modes. I created a library for the client with the color and font variables, but I can't get it to work in the client's Figma component.Is there a way to make this work? Or another way to apply the client's colors and fonts to the component?

I am experiencing an issue with verifying my student account on Figma. Problem description:Hi Figma team,Since the last update, I can no longer see the distance between elements when I select one and hold down the Option key (on Mac) while hovering over another. I’ve tried everything suggested:Using Option or Alt + hover over another element. Switching from Draw to Design mode in the bottom right of the interface. Restarting Figma, opening new files, updating the app, clearing the cache, trying the web version, and even disabling plugins.Nothing has worked and the problem persists, even though I used to see the measurements with no problem before.I would really appreciate some help, since this tool is essential in my workflow and it’s causing me a lot of issues.Thank you!

When using annotations, there’s a recurring bug where some annotations are visible while others are not.The issue occurs when annotations are inside a Section. If I remove the Section, the annotations immediately appear.

Hi! A previous team member was the owner of the Figma file and was receiving email notifications from Figma normally (view request from external people). Before he left the company, I assigned myself the owner of the file.I was expecting to receive the notification emails of view requests since I got the ownership of the file. But nothing happened.My problem is: with the recent Figma upgrade, the view request panel in Figma doesn’t show the emails of the people who want to view the file (before the upgrade it did). I need that information for security reasons (that could be solved with the email notification).I already tried to adjust Figma preferences in order to receive the email notifications, but it didn’t help.Any clues?Thanks!
