Accidentally Deleted My Figma Account on iPad — All Projects Lost, Need Urgent Help

Because there was no clear warning or confirmation prompt on the iPad interface, I intended to log out of my account, but accidentally deleted my entire Figma account instead.

I have been using Figma since my undergraduate years. It is not just a tool to me, but something that has accompanied me through many important stages of my study and design projects. It contains years of my work and creative efforts, and I am currently in the middle of several critical projects.

I only realized what had happened after receiving the email saying that my account had been successfully deleted. I was completely shocked and frozen when I saw it.

The email mentioned that if projects had collaborators, ownership would be transferred. However, in reality, none of the files were transferred and all of my projects have disappeared.

I truly cannot accept losing everything this way, and I am desperately seeking help.
If there is any possibility to recover my account or files, I would be deeply grateful for any assistance or guidance.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this.

I was trying to log out of my account on the iPad app, but due to the confusing interface and lack of clear warning, I accidentally deleted my entire Figma account instead.

The deleted account is the same account I am currently using to post this message.

I only realized what happened after receiving the account deletion confirmation email.
The email said that if projects had collaborators, ownership would be transferred, but in reality, none of my files were transferred and all projects disappeared.

This account contains years of my design work and I am currently in the middle of important projects.
This was completely accidental and I urgently need human assistance to check if my account or files can be recovered.

I have already tried contacting support and was directed to post here.
Any help from the Figma team would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi @Luyq — thank you for taking the time to explain what happened. I’m really sorry to hear about this, especially given how important these projects are to you.

We’ve merged your posts into a single thread so we can keep everything in one place and track progress more easily. Given the urgency and impact here, I’ve shared the full context with our Product Support team so they can review what recovery options may be available.

While I can’t access or share account-specific details from Figma Forum, I’ve gone ahead and opened a ticket on your behalf. Please check your inbox for an email from me — your case number is: 1683614. A member of the Product Support team will follow up with you directly once they’ve had a chance to review.

In the meantime, this resource may be helpful for background context and setting expectations: Delete your Figma account.

Please keep an eye on the email inbox associated with your Figma account for next steps. We appreciate your patience while this is being looked into.
