Hello! I want to create an object (text, shape, frame) inside the auto layout frame, but nothing works as it did before. The object appears above the auto layout frame, not inside it. Scroll speed is inconsistent. Can this please be fixed? It’s all over the place.It's really quite as simple as: one tick of the scrollwheel should ALWAYS travel the same amount of on-screen pixels. Today, I was designing icons in Figma and I discovered the new aspect ratio lock property. Then I realized something was wrong. I found that all the aspect ratio scaling properties I had set for the objects were turned off. I had to spend time resetting them. This is terrible.

I want to get my  developer to have access to our Figma on dev mode, but it says mine is still on a starter account, can someone help me find how to convert my account and allow her to gain access?

Hi there,  I have a new issue (i am a student) when using the white board. No clue why it started.  When i am adding a template to the white board (any template), it shows up on the board but whern i place the curson on the sticky notes, for example,  I cannot edit them. I can’t really use the template. The moment I zoom in or out the board (doesn’t matter if with the mouse of the touchpad), the whole template is GONEEEE!!!! Why?? 😭 Please, advise. I need help with swapping variables for a new library on FigmaI’m creating a design system that needs to swap the associated branding: colors, fonts, corner-radius, and border-stroke to be switched out. And the way that we do it on the component level is by switching the libraries (to the new ones), but Figma’s feature “swap libraries” doesn’t work with variables, only with styles and components.I tried to find a plugin that could do it properly, but the plugins that I found only change the variables available on the page, and don’t change directly the variables pointed on the variables panel.Has anyone faced the same issue? How did you fix it?

It just took me a long time to figure out why background blur “wasn’t working”. You need to set the fill opacity (! not appearance opacity) to some value less than 100%. This is not intuitive.Suggestions:Do what XD did. Make the background blur appear the instant you set the object to “Background Blur” Do something in the UI to make it clear you need to adjust other settings before the blur will work. Don’t make me hunt the internet to figure out basic functions. Make the UI self-explanatory. 

is there a way, not to lose overrides when building a component from an instance where a string variable for changing viewports was applied?  The problem is that the component is very complex, so I had to build variants for the viewports. When I link the instance of a component with a string variable, everything works perfectly. All overrides are there! However, since this is a component of a design system, I would like the viewport switch directly in the instance of the component, without having to first link it to the string variable of the viewports. When I create a new component from the instance linked to the string, the breakpoint switch works, but unfortunately, my overrides are lost. Is there a workaround for this?Thanks for help :)

Hello. There seems to be a problem with the constraints of components. Seems like one part of the document is ok and the other not. I’ve tried everything from duplicating the document, copying to another page, etcThe only thing that worked is that I moved everything on the page to the left, but everything beyond the point in the video does not work. It’s bugging out.Because of this bug, I cannot create more variations.Please help me fix this. It’s driving me crazy. Hi everyone,I want to subscribe Professional Account on Figma (individual subscription), but I was invited to join an Educational Team. I’m wondering if it’s possible to be part of an Educational Team while maintaining my Professional subscription.

I am trying to create a dropdown widget that displays a calendar. I want it to appear over the top of other elements on the screen when the user clicks the widget.I have tried setting the canvas stacking to ‘first on top’ for the component variant, but I still can’t get it to work. Is there something that I’m missing? I have tried to attach some screenshots to this question but they would not upload. Please help, this is driving me nuts! 😂Best,Hannah 

Hi! I am new to Figma, and I was learning about how to use Auto Layout. I got all my components into the right spot, and when I change the dimensions of the frame they’re in, they adjust accordingly. When I run it and preview the frame in a different devices however, the entire frame itself just sticks out and doesn’t fit the screen. Here is an image showing what I see As you can see, there are still some black spaces. I was wondering how I could make it so that the frame will always have width and height dimensions that change depending on whatever screen I choose, so that one design fits all. I’m working on updating my company’s design system. I am working on checkboxes and am struggling to get the line-height right, for lack of a better word. Before I begin: I understand that fonts/text display different in different browsers-- I am not worried about that. I am worried about getting the text correctly aligned in Figma while using standard styles so our engineers can use Dev mode. If I need to set inconsistent spacing for components in Figma, Dev mode won’t be useful for our engineering team. Like many companies, we use Source Sans Pro. I noticed that Source Sans Pro’s line-height seems to be off. If I have text center aligned, the descenders are cut off. If this was for only text like a paragraph, this would be fine. But since the text needs to be aligned with other elements, I’m not sure what to do. I also checked how Illustrator handled this. Hello there,I recently created more than 500 design tokens and applied them to our design system, but I'm blocked by the upscale modal when I try to publish my update.I don’t use more than 4 variable modes in my entire collection.I don’t see any limitations mentioned on the pricing page, and the support doc states that there is support for +5000 variables.I really don’t understand why I can’t publish my variables on the Organization plan. I’ve created a Figma plugin to get the state of local variables then trigger external API’s based on that state change. I’m trying to have a prototype instance of the file communicate with the Figma Plugin I created so when I click a UI element in the prototype, a variable changes which triggers an external API. Right now, there’s no way I can find to ‘listen’ for the variable state change in a prototype because it does not ‘write’ to the original variable value.

Hi, I’m having a very bizarre issue with my Figma prototype. Some of the frames being displayed in the prototype are old versions of my design. Even though I have deleted these old frames and replaced them with new frames, the old version of the frame is being shown in the prototype. For example, the text shown in the frame is the old text rather than the text that I see in my design, and the position of elements is completely different than what I see in my design. I have double checked to make sure these old frames / text are deleted, and they are. The only thing that seems to fix this issue is completely rebuilding the frames from scratch, which is a lot of work. In summary, some of my frames seem to be “dead” or broken, where the way they look in the design is not what is displayed in the prototype. Unfortunately, I cannot share my file because the work is confidential. Has anyone had a similar issue / have debugging ideas? Thank you!

encountered an issue where SF Symbols' Unicode characters were not rendered accurately in Figma. Despite using a high-resolution Mac, the output quality did not meet the expected precision. Please find the referred screenshot.   

I tried editing my variables but I am facing confusion as I forgot which variables are used in my frame. I tried using cmd+f to search by name as we normally use to find frame or component frame but it did not work. Does anyone know how to solve this?

I did find some posts on the topic of “transferring ownership”, but that doesn’t help me with my problem. I have two teams in the organization that don’t have an owner and I can’t manage to assign them an owner. Has anyone had this problem and can help me? I am an organization admin and have also tried to assign myself ownership somehow, but I just can’t find a corresponding function anywhere.

Our plugin has paid features, but payments are handled through a third-party service, not Figma’s built-in payment system. How can we enable the "In-app Purchase" label and the "Try in..." button on our plugin page? Thanks!

I have created a template in Figma Slides. It contains several illustrations that are defined in a library within a design file in Figma.When I replace these illustrations, the colors within the illustration change to different color variables. All illustrations are set up with color variables defined in Figma, and this library is also added to Slides. In the preview in Slides, the colors appear correct.
