I’ve been trying a new workflow for auditing correct token usage of components (through skills in programs like Cursor), however I encounter an issue whenever I’m trying to audit actual Figma components instead of un-componentized frames. When I audit a variant of a component (other than the base component):get_design_context returns code with the base component's colors (e.g., surface/neutral/primary, border/neutral/secondary)get_variable_defs returns the variant's actual variables (e.g., surface/neutral/primary-hover, border/neutral/secondary-hover, icon/neutral/tertiary-hover)This creates a mismatch between the generated code and the actual design, making it impossible to programmatically audit or generate accurate code for component variants. The only way to verify correct token usage is manual inspection in Figma. Is this a known limitation? Is there a way for the generated code of get_design_context to return the variant’s variables instead of the base component? This would solve
For a many months now, I’ve seen library components appearing broken, ignoring saved styling, or appearing broken when copied to new design files.
I recently started using the paid plan of Fima. I am still learning all the new features i got with the professional plan. Yesterday i found out that i cannot access the first draft ai feature from the action tab as shown in the tutorial videos.
I have been thinking about how different apps handle data refresh and user feedback, especially when it comes to information that users expect to be accurate instantly. In design tools like Figma, small delays or unclear states are usually communicated well through loading indicators, sync messages, or manual refresh options, so users understand what is happening. On the other hand, I have noticed with some everyday apps, for example checking my FAB bank balance on mobile, that the information does not always update clearly and there is no obvious indication whether the data is current or cached. It made me curious from a product and UX perspective how teams decide when to auto refresh sensitive data versus requiring a manual action, and how designers communicate trust and accuracy without overwhelming the user. Are there best practices in interface design or state handling that help avoid this kind of confusion, especially for apps where users rely on up to date information?
Hi,I’m reaching out for help applying the Education plan to my Figma account, as I’m currently stuck on the Free plan despite being successfully verified as a student through SheerID.Here’s a summary of the situation: I previously had a Professional plan, which has now been fully canceled and expired. I completed student verification through SheerID, and my verification was approved. However, my Figma account still appears as Free, and I’m unable to access Education plan features. SheerID has confirmed that my verification is valid and active, and advised me to contact Figma directly to update my account status. Below are the verification details they provided: Verified email: [redacted by forum admin/moderator to remove PII] SheerID Request ID: 69194d08f3823b601f34acfc Date verified: November 16, 2025 I’ve already tried signing out and back in, clearing my browser cache, and using the verification link, but the plan has not been applied.I need help applying the Education plan

When I bought my ticket for Config I put my role and title but it has since changed. I’m wondering do you update that when you pick up your badge at Config or do you do it prior.
Hi everyone,I’m running into an issue with my Figma plugin review process and I’m hoping someone from the community or Figma staff can help.My plugin (ID: 1601105301577638777) has been unpublished after review twice now, and in both cases I received no email or feedback explaining what was wrong or what I should fix. When I open the plugin’s Community page, I only see this message:“Your resource is unpublished. Only you can see this page. To republish this resource, publish a new version using a plugin with the same id.”There is no visible review status, no rejection reason, and no way to see any comments from the review team, so I don’t know what to change before submitting again. It’s especially confusing because this has now happened twice.Has anyone else experienced a plugin being unpublished like this, with no email and no feedback? Is there any hidden place where review comments or status might show up? What’s the best way to reach the Figma plugins review/support team to ask ab
Hi, hope you doing well.My figma is working super slow and my branches doesn’t open or loading forever. Here is an example of what happen when I open a branch or try to change between pages (once the branch finally opens). Beside that is slow in general, changes are taking more time than expected. I already tried uninstall, log of, restart the computer, re install, log in, and it still working poorly. I also tried open the branch in Chrome, same issues. Thanks in advanced. :)
Figma randomly becoming unresponsive during the day for the last 3 months. It only works in a browser with a vpn enabled. Then, suddenly it starts working again after a few hours, with no changes in my network/laptop settings.I getting message "Something went wrong! Loading chunk 905 failed. (timeout: https://www.figma.com/webpack-artifacts/assets/svg-fd6dec7c00c34cfb.min.js.br)".
The previous designers of my team turned to library every file that they created because they thought it was a good practice to turn each final screen into a component. Now I have a huge libraries list that is worthless but I still want to be the owner/editor of the source files. Is there a way to cleanup this mess?
Hello! I am having an issue in my Figma Site. I have the navigation set to sticky and it scrolls with the page successfully. It scrolls behind the other content on the page however. It is on the top layer of the layer tree and I cannot figure out for the life of me how to fix it. Anyone know how to fix this?
Hello Figma Support Team, @Celine_ I’m writing to request assistance regarding an accidental subscription purchase.I unintentionally purchased the Organization Annual Plan instead of the Professional Plan (monthly). This was a genuine mistake during the checkout process, and the annual charge of $660 has already been billed. My intention was to subscribe to the Professional plan on a monthly basis, which I still plan to proceed with once this issue is resolved.I kindly request: A refund of the $660 charged for the Organization Annual Plan Assistance in switching to the Professional Monthly Plan I haven’t made use of the Organization plan features, and I’m reaching out immediately to ensure this can be resolved at the earliest.Thank you for your support, and I appreciate your help in resolving this quickly.Best regards,[redacted by moderator to remove personal information]
Hello Figma Support Team,I was previously approved for a Figma Education account using my personal email address. Recently, I received a reminder to re-verify my status, but I’ve been unable to complete the re-verification process successfully.Details of my issue: My account was originally verified for Education Account. During re-verification, I was not prompted to provide any documents. The system now shows my account as “not verified,” and attempts to re-verify keep failing. I previously emailed regarding my issue with re-verifying my Figma Education account but I haven’t received a response yet. I urgently need my Education account active before the end of this month for academic work and projects. I am currently a student in [SRM TRP Engineering College,Tiruchirappalli], and I can provide proof of enrollment (student ID) if required.Could you please advise me on how to resolve this issue? If necessary, I am happy to reapply using my official institution email address.Thank
Hi, I’ve suddenly lost access to a Figma file that I personally created in November (between 11/03 and 11/25 I believe) using my personal account. The file no longer appears in any of my workspaces (Drafts, Teams or Trash), but the direct link still works and asks me to “Request access”. This is a professional client project and I urgently need to recover access due to some modifications asked. I only have two Figma accounts, and the other one (a university email that I no longer have access to) has been inactive for years. This is the first and only time that this has happened to me, and sadly I don’t have a backup file.Could someone from the Figma team please help check which account or workspace owns this file and assist in restoring access or transferring ownership?Thank you. Hello, we have a problem: we give a user a full seat, but it disappears after three days. We don't add him to the team, we just give him access. We have available seats in the plan. Can you tell please what might be wrong?
I need to get my Figma account verified for school on the Education Plan. I contacted SheerID who told me my account has already been verified on their end and given me the verification ID and all that.I contacted Figma’s support chatbot who was useless but told me to email Figma Education, which I did. I did not get a reply after a week, so I emailed again. I still haven’t gotten a response. This is important and I need to get it done ASAP. I would like a human person to help me with this. Please.
Hello everyone, I’m trying to resolve a billing problem and hope someone from the team can help. I purchased and paid for an annual plan with 3 seats. However, an additional paid seat suddenly appeared on my account without my action or approval. Because of this, I now see an overdue $20 charge and my account access is restricted. I have been in contact with support and explained multiple times that I did not create or authorize this seat. Unfortunately, I keep receiving instructions on how to manage or remove seats myself, instead of a billing review of how this charge appeared in the first place. The issue is not how seat management works. The issue is that a paid seat was added without my consent and it already caused restrictions now. I’m asking for: a manual investigation of how the seat was created, removal of the incorrect charge, restoration of access to my prepaid annual 3-seat plan. Case number: #1735922 I’m happy to provide any additional information, logs, or confirmat

Hi everyone,I recently received an email that appears to be from Figma, but I’m not fully sure if it’s legitimate. The message looks fairly convincing, however I want to double-check before clicking any links or providing any information.I’ve attached a screenshot of the email for reference.Could someone from the Figma team or community help confirm whether this is an official communication from Figma or a phishing/scam attempt?Thank you in advance!
I have roughly 300 sticky notes from user research survey. I’d like to topic sort using AI. I keep getting an error -- Is there a limit to how many sticky notes the Topic Ai tool can sort?
I created a branch that introduces a lot of changes to the main file. I updated all my components to the newest library, deleted some pages, and made changes to individual frames across the whole file. When I try to update changes from the main file, or even try to merge the branch, I get an error saying:“File out of memoryClosing other tabs and reloading Figma may reduce browser memory and allow you to continue reviewing and merging this branch.”I tried closing all other tabs, merging in both the desktop app, and using Figma in three different browsers. Nothing seems to work. My branch’s memory usage shows 9%, so it doesn’t look overloaded. Please help, there are three days’ worth of work stuck in this branch 🥲

Hi, I’m having trouble activating the Figma Education plan. I have tried many time to verify my account and contacted SheerID and don’t have any success. I get the following errors: From Figma: Attempting to verify shows “Verification Limit Exceeded.” I also emailed the Figma education team education@figma.com, but still have not received a response From SheerID: “We were unable to process your verification request. While we can't offer further details or support for this specific inquiry, please ensure all information submitted is accurate and meets the eligibility criteria for future attempts. Your ticket has now been permanently closed.”
How do I save my credits in the professional subscription?
