Hello,we are currently exploring how the new extended collection feature is working.We figured out that variables in extended collections that are connected with font styles are not updating the font styles when changed. You have to detach and re-attach the font style to get the changes in the variables.How you can achieve this:You can easily reproduce the bug in the community file that Luis provided - see attached link.1. Create a text layer for each brand using the "Heading" style2. Go to the "Typography Primitives" collection and change each brands "Family Sans" variable to a different font family3. You will see that only the Heading of the original Theme collection will change, but not the other brands (coming from the extended collection).4. Detach/Reattach the Heading style for the brands and the change happens Conclusion: there seems to be a bug that avoids that text styles are automatically updated when the come from extended collections.Attached you find a screenshot showing t

The greyed out collections matches my real collection name, but not the number I have a “ghost” set of variable collections in my library file (greyed out, but i can see the variables).I cannot see any of my true “theming” colors in files that’s using this library. I think the ghost variable count is overriding the real collections.

Hi there! I have noticed a change in the behavior of annotations while zooming the canvas that is challenging our workflow.Up until the latest update, annotations would have a fixed maximum size at zoom levels between 25600% (max) and 100%. Zooming out to levels below 100%, they would start scaling down.Now however, this threshold seems to have been lowered from 100% to 50%. Why is it a problem?Because we space out our screen designs so that the gaps in between can comfortably hold annotations, no matter the zoom value.This now leads to annotations overlapping adjacent screens and blocking them visibly. Increasing the spacing is out of question because screens are already generously spread apart.Moreover, in projects with extensive documentation, where annotations stack vertically, this behavior reaches a whole new dimension (literally, the Y axis 😅). I’m the admin of my team, and my e-mail id has changed. Everytime I try to change my e-mail id in figma from my account, after clicking on the verification mail, this message show up: ‘your link has expired or is malformed’. I’ve tried with Google SSO login and with just email and password - nothing seems to be working.Also, how do I update my billing info?

Whenever I try to copy and paste screens into my client’s Figma workspace, some (not all) images will disappear (there will be a toast message that says ‘image invalid’. When I inspect the component in the original file, the image is there. Anyone else has this issue / has any solution to this?

Hi Figma team,I’m posting here in hopes of getting help or visibility on an account access issue.My Figma account was originally created using a school email address. That email has since been permanently deleted by the school after graduation, so I no longer have access to it.Because of this, all login and verification codes are sent to an email address that no longer exists, which has completely locked me out of my account and the files associated with it.I still have access to the device and browser previously used with this account and can provide any information needed to verify ownership (previous projects, team names, billing info, etc.).Is there a way to manually update the account email to my personal address or otherwise recover access without the old school email?Thanks in advance — I’d really appreciate any help with this.Best regards,Carimo

Hi! I just created a website home page with Figma AI (it should be on Figma Sites). Now, i'd like to move it to my elementor so i can use it to make my effective website.I've read that i can only do this with plugins, but it seems that i can only use plugins with Figma Design, correct?And so, i have some questions:Can i make my “Figma Sites” page become a “Figma Design” page?  If yes, can i do it for free or i should upgrade Figma license to professional?I have the free version on Figma, and on Sites it looks like i can’t even edit elements without asking AI. So i can’t see layers and all that stuff. Can you help me with that? Thanks!

I created a connected project in Figma and invited my client (we both have pro plans). My client added one of his files to collaborate with.Now we want to move his file (they created that file in their workspace a long time ago) out of our shared project again, but neither me or him are able to do so.Any ideas how to do this?

ello, I'm just learning Figma Make and I'm having problems with the prototype. The interactive Figma Make prototype sometimes opens, sometimes not. My colleagues have no problem opening it. But for me, the loader just keeps spinning. What could be the problem?

Exporting a pdf in Figma Buzz creates a huuuuuge file size but also has an issue with previews that seems isolated to teams. Ive checked Mac OS, Slack & Figma Design, which all seem to be able to preview.

Enable to use glass effect on shapes which came in the new update

I am using Figma Desktop MCP with VSCode and I am trying to build a complete prototype (POC) of an app based on designs. So I have created an agent with some instuctions like to get this page node which contains many desings. I have instructed the Agent to use get_metadata, as the page contains many designs and if run get_design_context in the page node it will fallback to get_metadata anyhow. The problem here is that together with the ouput content of the ge t_metadata there is also a note:“IMPORTANT: After you call this tool, you MUST call get_design_context if trying to implement the design, since this tool only returns metadata. If you do not call get_design_context, the agent will not be able to implement the design.” Issue with this is that if the get_design_context after the get_metadata it picks only the first design it sees. Hi! Trying to create a component that on click, rotates itself 180 degrees smoothly (and would affect another component, but that’s for later).I created two components, and linked them as a variant, with one duplicated from the other and rotated. I set in prototype for both of them, when clicked, to change to the other variation, with smart animate on. I then copied one of the variants and pasted it into my project. It seems to react when clicked on, but nothing happens to it. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 

When a rectangle’s corner radius is linked to a variable, changing the variable normally updates all linked elements immediately. However, once the built-in Glass effect is on the rectangle, the corner radius stops updating when the variable value changes. The variable remains correctly linked, but the UI does not refresh unless the variable is manually relinked.The problem seems to appear only on the rectangle shapeReproducibility / patterns Issue is consistently reproducible. I am a small publisher.  Been in business for 35 yrs.  My first inventory system was on Pic/MV Base and it was a green screen inventory system for textbooks named Comtext. I didnt make it… i licensed my use and then drove that company crazy for a decade getting them , and its creator to customize it for me.  now, 35 yrs later, im a publisher and i work with professors to help them build their own custom textbooks for their courses. I am building an entire ERP/CRM/Inventory system and production mgt tracker for my whole business.  It will eventually include customer portals, accounting and all sorts of other modules.  Im going it ALL myself.. and i have GPT (Sage) and Claude helping me.  They help prompt Fig (thats what I am naming my agent lol) to keep him straight , and to help track all the work that needs to be done. Despite my lack of programming and coding skills.. ive been around all of it for a long time so I have a top level strategic approach, but a developer engineer I am not

When will Figma Make support uploading locally modified code back to Figma? I downloaded the code locally and made some changes using Claude Code, but now I can't push those updates back to Figma for designers to review—it's really cumbersome!
