All the plugins I’ve looked at require you to first specify which component you want to find, and then surfaces other instances of that component. But I have a different use case. When handing off designs to dev, they want to know which components from the Design System are being used, and they need me to mark which ones have already been developed, and which ones are new. This allows them to estimate the effort needed. I have no idea how to just find out which components/instances are present in my file. I don’t want ❖CTA-button listed 5 separate times in some kind of layers panel. I just want ❖CTA-button (5), ❖text-input (3), etc. In the best case, it would even tell me where the component comes from (local or external library). Has anyone found a good way to do this?
i am new to Figma and i just want to build an interesting portfolio website. I use Figma Make from scratch and keep editing until i satisfied. However when I tried to publish the web to see the outcome in browser, it just show the very first version. Yet i could still see properly in the preview panel. Then I kept trying to press update and publish and it’s still not working. Then I remembered a option say clear like cache memory? or something like that in the chat room, i pressed it. then suddenly the preview panel refreshed, and it goes back to the first scratch version. Everything is gone. I tried to restore the previous versions, but it said it couldnt fetch the version. EVERYTHING IS GONE including my AI credits :(
I really liked the new check design tool, but I believe I encountered a problem. When I find a color and try to replace it in side, it doesn't find the colors in my library. My design system is published and normal, it should appear, right?I've already selected it to just base it on my library, but it still doesn't find anything.I also noticed that the colors in the switch menu only appear if I create the color as a variable, but I should use it from the color styles library, right?Would you have to duplicate all colors as variables? it's not so practical if that's the solution.
Looking for an efficient way to do a client presentation for marketing campaigns, multi size emails, social, copy etc that need to be in a presentation form. Slides will not let me change the size, as I need them vertical to house the emails and put 3-4 emails side by side.
Can Figma Make use the custom fonts available to my organization and team?
Hi guys, I subscribed to figma not because I just wanted to use Figma Make. I thought the AI worked for designs as well, just like https:sleek.design, but unfortunately for me, what is made, can’t be edited on Figma Design. How do I cancel this subscribtion. It’s been taking almost £22 from my account monthly - no matter what I do.Many thanks.Abe
Sanity check before I submit this as a bug or feature request:Is there an easy, non-destructive way to make Figma show drop shadows on the inside of a closed path, like a circle?I don’t want to use Outline Stroke since that’s destructive. I’m trying to keep it as a normal editable circle and have it behave like it does in apps like Sketch or Affinity Designer, where a drop shadow on a stroke renders on both sides of the path.Same editable circle, inside stroke, and drop shadow setup. Figma doesn’t render the shadow inside the closed path, while Sketch creates the expected inner-shadow effect without outlining the stroke.

Hi! I have these recommended libraries for ages… and I have not used these in years… how can I remove it and replace it with our current design system? bestAxel
Figma Motion is an amazing addition, and the API support is quite impressive considering it's still in beta. In particular, the ability to add keyframes manually is a great feature. However, I was disappointed to find that there's currently no way to add a keyframe at the current playhead position. This significantly limits the usefulness of manual keyframing workflows. It would be extremely helpful if you could either expose the current playhead position through the API or provide an option to insert a keyframe directly at the current playhead position.Additionally, "Rotate at Origin" is an essential part of Figma Motion's functionality, but as a plugin developer, I cannot support it in my plugin because this information is not exposed through the API.Please consider adding support for both of these features, as they are very important for plugin developers and would greatly improve the capabilities of the Figma Motion ecosystem.
Hello everyone!I'm excited to join the Figma Community and learn from such a talented group of designers and creators.I'm interested in UI/UX design, prototyping, and creating clean, user-friendly interfaces. While I'm still improving my Figma skills, I enjoy exploring new features, design systems, plugins, and workflows that can make the design process more efficient.I'm here to learn, share ideas, ask questions, and hopefully contribute whenever I can. Looking forward to connecting with all of you and learning from your experiences! Thanks for having me!
Hi everyone,We’re using a Figma Professional Team account, and recently we’ve started facing an issue where users are being kicked out, and only two users are able to stay logged in at the same time. This restriction wasn’t there previously, and multiple team members were able to access the account without any issues.Has anyone else experienced this recently? Is this related to a change in Figma’s login/device policy, or is there a recommended way to resolve this?Would upgrading the plan or creating a separate account under a new email address be the right approach?Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you!
This has always been a pain point for me — whenever I need a logo from a website for a moodboard, competitive audit, or brand exploration, I end up digging through DevTools or screenshotting something blurry.I finally got frustrated enough to build a Chrome extension to solve it. It's called LogoFetch — it scans the active tab and surfaces every logo it finds (inline SVGs, linked images, favicons, OpenGraph assets, CSS backgrounds) in a panel. You can then hit Copy to Figma and paste directly, or bulk download as a ZIP.A few things that came out of building it that I found useful for the Figma workflow specifically:— SVGs sort to the top automatically so you're not hunting through PNGs— Single-color SVGs can be flipped to black or white in one click (handy for dark backgrounds in decks)— The copy button outputs paste-ready SVG code directly into Figma It's free and on the Chrome Web Store if anyone wants to try it: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/logofetch-by-treatzone/gjihipp
Hi everyone, I need help with the following: I'm creating a library with variables. Within it, I have two button design styles (skins). One skin is more classic, and the other is more modern. The idea is that when using a button from the library, I can choose the design skin. Changing the font, background, and corner settings between them works fine. However, the problem is that I need the shadow to only be present in one style, and if I change the skin, it shouldn't have a shadow. I'm creating the shadow values using variables, but I don't know how to configure this.I would greatly appreciate any help.
I’m on Starter and trying to use Transfer from a workspace that still shows All projects to a destination team on Professional that shows All folders. The destination URL validates and shows verified, but after I select Request transfer, I get: ‘You cannot transfer to this organization at this moment. Please contact support for more details.’ The item contains three design files, and this happens in the browser and the desktop app.
I have a sidebar in my web application design, and I've created it as a component set with Expanded and Collapsed variants. The issue I'm facing is that when I switch to the Collapsed variant in Prototype mode, it doesn't match the actual Collapsed variant defined in the component set.If you look closely in the image below, you'll notice that the Dashboard label is still visible in the prototype, even though the Collapsed variant in the component set doesn't contain any text. Am I missing a setting, or is this a bug? I've attached screenshots of both the component set and the prototype for reference.
How can I better organize all of my Figma files. Currently, everything I have ever created is just listed in chronological order. I would like to organize in folders. I have read that I can organize in projects but I don’t see how to do that. How do I create projects within a project? For example, I would like to have a project named “Hospital” where I put all of the designs I do for the hospital. Underneath/inside hospital, I would like to have sub folders/projects like Posters Mobile Apps Intranet Designs Website Designs Is this possible?
Hi everyone,I need a quick confirmation regarding Figma's pricing for a team setup. As I understand it, we'll have 1 Admin/Owner account that manages the workspace, and 10 team members who will collaborate within that team.My questions are:Is the pricing charged per seat (Admin + each team member), or is there a different licensing model? If we have 1 Admin + 10 Editors, will we be paying for 11 paid seats, or is there any way to optimize the cost? Are there any limitations or recommendations for a team of this size?I just want to make sure I fully understand the licensing before proceeding. Thanks in advance for your help! 😊
I’ve read Figma’s documentation, but I still don’t understand how a new developer becomes eligible to sell plugins through Figma Payments. My publishing form only offers the Community Free Resource License, and I can’t find any application form—or even a way to ask Figma Support about seller approval. Can I publish on behalf of a company, and may I handle subscriptions through my own payment system instead? In other words, does Figma want its 15% or not? 🙂
Hello,Good day. We are performing a Cloud-to-Cloud site merge of our Jira environments. Our source site is being merged into our destination site.We currently use the Figma for Jira app on our source site and need guidance on the following: Will Figma design links and live embeds currently attached to Jira issues be preserved and remain functional after the issues are moved to the destination site? Does the Figma integration require a fresh authorization or re-configuration on the destination site before or after the merge? Are there known issues with Figma previews or design panels breaking when Jira issue keys or site URLs change during a migration? Are there any specific steps recommended by Figma to ensure that the integration remains seamless for our 600 users during this transition? Project Details: Licensed Jira Users: 600 (Enterprise) Test Migration Date: August 14, 2026 Production Migration Date: August 21, 2026 Thanks,Jai
hi, i am using figma MCP server via claude code with a k12 education account, and i would like to clarify what is the MCP rate limits for K-12 users? thanks:)
In this video hero on Figma MAKE homepage, i see a way more comfortable and detailed edit panel in the right side. when i use Figma MAKE i see different UI with only some edit options on a floating bar.in the video you can set flex gap like in figma design and you can drag to reposition elements. nothing of this exist in my figma app when testing Make. can anyone shade some light on that huge difference
Hi — I'm ready to publish a paid plugin ("Featherlight — Compress, WebP & Batch Export", plugin ID 1665932150476150859) under my Community profile @rationalmystic, using Figma's native payments with a one-time price. In the publish flow the Price field is disabled, and my Community profile has no Metrics tab, so I believe my account still needs seller approval / Stripe activation for Community payments. What's the correct way to request seller onboarding? Details:- 2FA is enabled on the account- Publishing from the desktop app- US-based LLC, so within Stripe's supported countries- The plugin is complete and the publish draft is ready to submit as soon as pricing unlocks- The plugin is in my personal drafts (not a team/org), publishing as an Individual creator Thank you!
