Import Figma Make to Figma Design

Currently, it's not possible to transfer designs or files from Figma Make back into Figma Design. (While you can attach Figma Design files to your Figma Make prompts, the reverse—bringing Figma Make files, prototypes, or web apps into Figma Design—isn’t supported at this time).

The way our team is handling this is to use the “HTML → Design” plugin by <div>RIOTS to convert the generated design into figma assets.

It’s not a perfect solution, but it reclaims a lot of otherwise wasted time.

Would be very very helpful feature! I was just looking for the same ;)

      Do we have any updates on this? Is the Figma engineering team working to solve this? Appreciate if you could shed some light on it?

Absolutely agree! I was on the verge of buying Figma Make, but if there’s no path to move Make output into Figma Design, paying for it makes no sense. Make’s output can’t be handed to clients as-is—so this feature is mission-critical.

It’s a meaningful step toward easier hand-off, even if it doesn’t yet cover every scenario.

          Thanks a lot for the update. This was really a much-awaited feature. Appreciate it. 

          I hope someday, we get to have a “Export the design to the Canvas” option (including all the screens) from Figma make. Until then we will have a work-around with this feature. Eager to get that update. Will be watching this space. Thanks again.
