Hi everyone,I’m currently designing a grade calculator (GWA-style) in Figma where users can input multiple subjects along with their grades and credit units to calculate a weighted average. The main issue I’m facing is keeping the UI clean and user-friendly when there are multiple input fields. As more subjects are added, the layout starts to feel cluttered and harder to manage.I’m not sure about the best way to structure the inputs — whether to use cards, tables, or simple stacked rows. Also, handling dynamic actions like adding/removing subjects without breaking the design is a bit confusing.I tested a basic working version here: https://gwacalculatorphilippines.netlify.app/ just to understand the flow, but I want to improve the UI/UX before finalizing the design. What would be the best approach to:Keep the layout clean with multiple inputs? Organize grade + unit fields effectively? Design a smooth add/remove interaction?Any suggestions, examples, or best practices would really help!
Hey there everyone.I have some questions about offboarding best practices. My workplace has an Enterprise + license and we’re looking at what the best process is when we need to offboard users when they leave the company. I know that users can be the admins of Workspaces, as well as owners/admins of teams, projects and files so I’m curious what the best order is to check as we do transfer of ownership to the users who will take over for them like a handover. In my mind it would be to check that user’s file ownership first to get them to transfer any ownership to others then looking at transferring ownership of projects, teams and workspace admin rights. Keen to see how others have managed this,Cheers
Hello everyone! Are there any options that add gray to white shapes on export?I’m trying to export some designgs from figma, but they are spoiled by gray pixels in (I guess) partially visible positions. To make it clear I’m trying a really simple shape now. It’s just a 50x12 rectangle with 12px border radius. I looks great in Figma:All correct in FigmaBut after export I get some grayed pixels: Export is spoiledI can’t get correct output I need. Any suggestions please? Thanks for any assistance!
these are the lines that appar i cant delete them and they will mess with my design when i lasercut it
We have a private OAuth app published to our organization, with redirect URI http://localhost:3000/api/figma/callback and scope org:activity_log_read. We are using the documented authorize URL pattern for the Activity Logs API, but https://www.figma.com/oauth?... immediately returns “Parameter payload is required” before redirecting to our callback. This happens in a normal browser and blocks OAuth for Activity Logs.
What type of UI style is this? And where can I find a full project of it?
Hello, I have been invited to a connected project (it is listed as active in the administration) but I cannot find how to access it. How am I supposed to access this project?
Hi everyone 👋I wanted to ask if anyone here has experience with how long the Figma Plugin Review process usually takes — especially for newer AI-powered plugins. For context — the plugin Motiff AI: Your AI Design Partner (plugin ID: 1540318526221544036) has been pending approval for several weeks. The Motiff team mentioned it’s currently waiting in the security review queue before the main review begins.I completely understand that review times vary depending on the plugin’s complexity, but I’d love to hear from other developers or plugin creators:→ How long did your plugin’s security or main review take?→ Does Figma usually provide intermediate status updates? This might also help other users understand the process and set realistic expectations when waiting for new plugins to go live.I’ll share any updates from the Motiff team here too, in case it helps others who might be waiting on similar reviews. Thanks in advance for any insight or experiences you can share 🙏
Hi,Submitted a plugin for review on April 7th, it's now the 15th and I've heard no feedback or update. The last submission took about 1 day and it was rejected (understandable as it was a test submission). I'm reaching out as I'm not quite confident on what the actual waiting period is, as there seem to be different periods. Is there a system for this like status tracking, estimated queue times, anything? Even something as simple as "reviews are currently taking X days" on the submission page would help a lot. Are we the only ones experiencing this? For further context, resource ID: 1603862402776369499 Any clarity would be appreciated.
I’m trying to share a Figma Make prototype for user testing. It needs to be available for anyone to view and the full screen version without the prompt on left side.I’ve tried multiple versions and tested within Google Incognito to confirm it will work for any user and so far three things have happened:Login required page displayed Loading screen displayed but never generates prototype Error displayed saying “live preview not available.”Two processes I’ve already tried:Click the play button (which generates full screen version) > click “share” > adjust access to “anyone can view” > click “copy link” Click the play button (which generates full screen version) > click “share” > adjust access to “anyone can view” > copy link directly from address bar. Anyone have a fix for this?
I submitted a public OAuth app for review over two weeks ago and haven't heard anything back yet. Just to clarify, this is not a plugin, it's a standalone app using Figma OAuth with the REST API.The wait is starting to affect our deployment timeline. The submission page mentions 5-10 business days, so I'm wondering if I'm missing something on my end or if wait times are just longer than usual right now. Thanks!
I have many components in my design system and I don’t want to have to manually create template files for all of them. Is there a way for code connect to scan my design system and create skeleton files or rough drafts?
I accidentally purchased a full seat on an educational team. This is a team for my school that should remain educational. However, it is now a pro account and I am the only person with a seat. I need to switch back to an educational account ASAP as there are hundreds of profiles that are now view only. How do I do this?
I have consumed my AI credits by executing the AI modification command, yet the generated version cannot be displayed or operated normally. Could you please explain why the consumed credits are non-refundable in this case?
Hello,I would like to learn how to make email templates and use mailchimp to transfer my design.
Hi everyone,I’m currently building a design system in Figma that is intended to work well with Code Connect, and I have a question regarding icon architecture. When I use a single icon set with variants, I can map everything under one Code Connect connection — which is great. However, selecting icons inside components becomes very difficult and impractical (huge dropdown).I’m considering switching to separate icon components (e.g. icon/add, icon/close) and using them via instance swap.👉 My questions:• Can multiple icon components be grouped under a single Code Connect mapping?• Or would each icon require its own mapping?• Is there a better way to handle icon selection via instance swap without breaking Code Connect? Thanks!
Hi folks! I used some components from other files in my project, and even though I removed them, I still see some Variables available in the “Page → Modes”. They are not available anywhere else. It doesn’t affect the project; when I select one, change the page, and then return to it, that mode is selected. I checked my file, and nothing leads to the other file anymore – no styles, variables, components, etc. It seems like a bug, and I see some variables pulled from another file, but can I remove it somehow?
I am working on a project built with Next.js and TypeScript and I currently only have the implemented UI (react components, CSS/Tailwind). I need to convert this existing UI into a Figma design file automatically (or semi-automatically), including layout, styles, and components if possible.I understand that Figma is usually used before development, but in this case, the design was not created beforehand.I've looked into some tools (like HTML-to-Figma plugins), but they either don't support React well or lose styling/layout accuracy. Is there any reliable tool, plugin, or workflow that supports converting Next.js (TypeScript) code into Figma designs?Even partial solutions (like exporting layout or styles) would be helpful.
Hi everyone,I wanted to check if anyone has experienced a similar situation with plugin review timelines.I submitted my plugin (IconNova) on March 27, and it has now been in review for over 3 weeks.Details:- No backend- No network access- All processing is local inside Figma- Data security disclosure completed (shows “follows Figma’s security best practices”)- No warnings or issues shown (status is only “In review”)I did publish a couple of minor updates (rename + description changes), with the last update on April 5, but nothing affecting functionality. From what I understand:- Typical review time is 5–10 business days- Even with re-review, this timeline seems longer than expectedSo I’m trying to understand:- Is this kind of delay normal recently?- Could this be related to queue backlog?- Or is there something else I might be missing?Would really appreciate any insights from others who went through the same process. Thanks!
Hello everyone,I'm facing a significant workflow issue when exporting from Figma to React, and I'm hoping the community can help me find a solution.Current Situation:My Figma file uses Untitled UI design system with properly configured variables (colors, spacing, typography, border radius, etc.) I've verified the variables are correctly set up: Colors/Brand/500, spacing-md, Text md/Semibold, radius-lg, etc. When I export/generate code from Figma, I get React code with custom Tailwind classes instead of Untitled UI componentsThe Problem (with real examples):What Figma exports: jsx// Button<div className="shadow-[0px_0px_0px_1px_rgba(10,_13,_18,_0.18)_inset] rounded-num-8 bg-brown border-gray-400 border-solid border-[2px] overflow-hidden flex items-center py-2 px-num-12 gap-1"> <div className="relative leading-5 font-semibold">Add User</div> <img className="w-5 relative max-h-full" alt="" /></div>// Badge<div className="shadow-[0px_1px_2px_rgba(10,_13,
We have a good amount of users, but I am looking to only turn on PAYG access to select users once they are approaching limit or hit limit. This allows a workflow to learn the justification before giving that user access. Right now it looks like I have to individually turn everyone off, not to mention that a newly added user has it on by default (should be off by default). Am I missing something?
I wanted to ask if it’s possible to create a QR code scanner inside Figma. Otherwise I wanted to ask what are some valid alternatives. What I wanted to do is to integrate a figma app design that I created with a QR code reader while staying in the app. Thanks
HiI have a button that contains icons and a text layer. I need the text layer to have a max width of 160px as it needs to truncate very long button texts. However, we also need a version, where the text isn’t truncated when above 160 px width for some other designs. My question is, if there is a way to override the max width value in a component instance or if I need to create a boolean text layers with no limit to width, that can then be toggled on/off depending on desired behavior.I guess it can also somehow be achieved using slot components, but I would prefer to just be able to override the max width from the main component on my component instance to avoid complexity.Any ideas? Thanks.
I have joined an organization as a guest and have been assigned a Dev Mode seat. However, when generating a Personal Access Token (PAT), the 'Code Connect' scope is not available under the Scopes section.
