I have the same question. IT'S ANOYING. It changes objects without asking or one noticing it until it's way too late.
I SPECIFICALLY built a group of things with an object separate at the bottom so that I can freely change it without it influencing the other objects. I made sure it's in an extra group, but guess what… It still changed the object into a frame WITHOUT EVER ASKING!!!…
AND THAT FOR DOZENS OF OBJECTS… It ruined my plan that I wanted to do, because I cannot simply do undo; otherwise, I would undo all my work... It makes nothing but life harder… It's just shit.
