im trying to make a hover interaction when the user hovers on the default variant and then it will change to the hover variant which the hover variant has a different navbar color.i followed steps,so i created a component and inside it i created the 2 variants and default and hover.the size is all correct for both variants,i selected the entire default variant and added a hover interaction with the action change to hover variant.i dont know what is wrong,when i head to presentation mode it doesnt work
I created a list view component in Figma using Auto Layout, where each list item has a different height. In the main component, replacing individual list items correctly applies their unique heights. However, when I use an instance of the List View component, all the list items’ heights are fixed to one value. It seems strange since it works properly in the main component but not in instance. Is this a bug? If there’s a solution, please let me know.
Hi Figma Community, I’m trying to dynamically autofit text within a parent frame, similar to what’s shown on this website: https://www.neoculturalcouture.com/. When you change the window size, the text adapts to fit, but I couldn’t find any videos or tutorials explaining how to achieve this in Figma. Do you have any recommendations? Thank you

1、Team Fonts Online：Pls dont teach me install font installer and search my font in Figma. Would u like to make team font online? Once team member want to use the design file or view, the team font can be used directly instead of installing font on mac or others. 2、Favorite Font：By the other side, would you like to make font list seperated like “my favorite” & “all”, in this way, we can find my favorte font direct instead of rolling to find. 3、Setting/Team Font Default：now the Figma default font is inter, everytime i create new file, I need to set the font again and again. Hi, i’m new at plugin development and i’ve been trying to import this library into my project import { Hct } from “@material/material-color-utilities” when I write this statemente on my code.ts file, it shows me this error when I run it on Figma. I’ve already made a bundle using webpack but it didn’t work, also I tried with the example which is in the Figma documentation about bundles and libraries and it showed me the same error. I don’t know if nowadays it’s not possible to import external dependencies to a file.ts in Figma. Here is the documentation I’ve been using for this. I am trying to create an interactive component that can be reused across multiple Figma files. I want to be able to open a variant as an overlay while hovering but when I select “Open overlay”, it does not provide me with the option to select the variant as the overlay. Please help me understand what is going wrong.
We want to use it to link design variables to the design tokens in our application. Our company runs on a Professional plan. There are only 10 users that need access, so we don’t have any need to go to an Organization or Enterprise. I saw the same question here, but it wasn’t answered and just pointed to the Plugin API which has an entirely different use case.
Hi everyone, I’ve noticed some changes in Figma’s UI recently (possibly after the latest update), and I wanted to check if others are experiencing the same: Dragging to Adjust Input Fields I used to be able to click and drag on fields like “X”, “Y”, “Blur”, etc., to increase or decrease their values interactively. Now, it seems that functionality is gone—I can only type values manually or use the arrow keys. Is this an intentional change, or a bug? Middle Mouse Scrolling Additionally, I can’t scroll the canvas using the middle mouse button anymore. It was a super handy feature for navigating around quickly. Has anyone else encountered these issues? Are there workarounds, or is this a confirmed change in Figma’s behavior? I’m using Desktop App on Windows if that helps. Thanks in advance!

I want to create a responsive toggle element for my design system, with a text+image label for both sides (selected / unselected states). The text length may be different depending on the feature. But, I want my toggle to do an equal width for both sides, adding padding where needed to the side with shorter text, to ensure the “split” between the 2 is in the middle of the element. To show what I mean, the top image is the current implementation using hug/auto layouts and padding - the shorter label’s side is narrower. I want to achieve the bottom variant, obviously I can do it by hand but I want to make the component responsive so I can type whatever label I want and it would do it? Is this possible?
When exporting a copy of a local file multiple times, a validation bot prompt pops up, in which case the file administrator is notified if someone has exported the design file
I’ve noticed that SVG export sizes have gone from around 20KB up to 800KB. Whatever changes have been put through in the last month is effecting it’s usability for the web exports. Our site has a banner limit of 100KB and SVG has been an invaluable resource in meeting these restrictions. However, within the last month when I exported suddenly I am seeing consistently large file sizes of close to 1MB (800KB) for an image comprised of a single background colour and text. This needs urgent attention as it basically makes Figma useless for any vector artwork.
Hello everyone! I have a problem with Figma Web where I can’t edit because there are missing fonts. I have tried looking for solutions and reading several topics in the community, but I haven’t been successful. My main issue is that my MacOS is stuck at 10.15 (Catalina) and cannot be updated anymore, and I do not have any other devices that I can use at the moment. Meanwhile, the Figma Desktop app is no longer accessible because it requires at least OS 11.0, and the Figma Font Agent also cannot be installed due to the outdated OS. So, is there a solution for those of us still using an old OS? Is there a Figma Font Agent that we can install for older OS versions? Or are there other solutions, such as installing an older version of Figma Desktop that is still accessible? Please help, as I currently cannot update my OS (the updates have stopped at 10.15) and I am unable to purchase a new device with a different OS.
The color displaying on screen (#4ba2af) is different from the color I select on the properties panel (#15A5B1). Then, after exporting in PNG, the color changes again (#4ca0ae). This happens in sRGB as my color profile, on Windows. I also tried switching to Display P3 but the issue persists. I checked this with a color picker tool and you can see it in the screenshots attached. Any solutions to this issue?
Does anyone know if a Figma plugin exists to manage multi level token systems so that you can swap in new color palettes underneath a semantic token set? I’d like to be able to search within a collection and swap all tokens that are assigned to a token with some keyword text like red or blue with another set of tokens with a different key word like green or yellow. The colors could be swapped by matching another sub string like 100, 200, 300 etc. or how ever they are organized. The goal would be to have a color system expressed with semantic tokens that are easy to reassign in bulk. Like Themer but for tokens. Haven’t found this…
Hi ! I searched for an answers about that but didn’t find anyone talking about. In my workflow I often use Color styles and Effect styles to make it easier when I want to apply the same pattern and effect of an object. I was wondering if there is a way to have the same feature, but to save both of them in the same time. I know it’s not a feature so important to have but maybe if there is a way please tell me it would help ! Thanks !
Hi, I know someone who copied a professional file into their personnal project for portfolio purposes, despite NDA. All the instances are still related to the design system file of the organisation. Can the organisation know that the file has been duplicated, or that the components are used outside of the organization, and which account are using them ? For the duplicate, other posts says that it’s not possible to track copies, but my questions is specific to the case with instances still attached to a main file (that can be tracked with design system analytics features for example)
I have two separate files: one for the design system (the library) and another for the main design file. I usually create components in the design system file. I created a loading animated popup footer, and one of its variants uses the “After Delay > Close Overlay” interaction. I tested the prototype and animation in the design system file before publishing it to the main design file, and it worked. However, when I published the component, the “After Delay > Close Overlay” interaction wasn’t applied in the main design file. When I changed the interaction in the design system file to “After Delay > Back” and republished it, the interaction appeared in the main design file. However, after I changed it back to “Close Overlay,” it disappeared again. Please help resolve this issue.
I’ve noticed uncomfortable lags when I share my screen via MS Teams and present something in Figma Desktop. It feels like fps drops drastically - from 60 to around 15-20. Mouse hover feedbacks with a noticeable delay. These lags I started notice after updating to macOS Sequoia. My setup: Macbook Pro 2021 M1 Pro with 32GB RAM, macOS Sequoia 15.0 External monitor HP Z27 connected via usb-c thunderbolt Figma Desktop 124.4.7 MS Teams for mac Version 24244.507.3125.3475 I started investigating to identify the root cause and so far I figured out the next: The issue is only with Figma Desktop and MS Teams mac app. If I use Figma in browser or MS Teams in browser, everything is smooth. The issue is more noticeable with UI3. When I switch back to previous UI, it works much smoother, however not perfect and smooth as without sharing. When I share the internal Macbook screen the issue is less to not noticeable. At least there is a difference. I tried different thunderbolt cables, no difference
Is my logic correct? I try to highlight 1 button and turn off the other 3 if it’s highlighted. But why the outcome I can’t press any other button if I press 1 button to get highlighted, it’s like locked 🙃
Version: 124.7.4 After updating Figma, the top title bar of the Figma client is missing. I’m unable to move, minimize, expand, or close the client. I’ve reinstalled Figma twice and the issue is still persisting. Has anyone else experienced this issue or have any idea on how to fix it? Currently on Windows 10 I’m also receiving a windows prompt when opening Figma: I’m able to open Figma if I launch it twice.
