This account was recovered by our team. Ronny Barrios the old owner and now ex-employee was the owner of this account. The marketing team here shared documents of design on figma. Ronny quit on 3/14/2026, and was the owner of these files. However, the files are completely missing now and our team no longer has access to their current project. Is there a way to see if he deleted them with malicious intent when he quit to spite the company. If not what happened to them?

Figma slots does not allow for me to edit components with existing content without overriding all instances. For example, i want to update my popover component to leverage my surface card component so the engineers know which surface card is referenced. I drag in the surface card into the component. I drag the content inside the slot, and all instances update. Ideally, this would work similar to when you move content around components it maintains the connection in all instances. see video
Hi everyone,We're migrating from one cloud site to another due to some internal client acquisitions.This involves migrating several hundred issues and approximately 900 Figma Design links.I tried checking with Atlassian's standard data transfer and migration tools, but the links aren't updating, and it seems they all need to be moved manually and updated.Is there a way to properly migrate Figma designs and data from one cloud site to another?Do you have any scripts that can automate the process, for example, via API?Thanks for your help.Davide - Reti Team.
I will not give other details: WHERE THE F*** IS THE AUTOLAYOUT WINDOW? The way in which you change so frequently is the interface is really unrespectful for people that use figma as a working tool.And you should also start changing your ux, ui o graphic designer, because some new icons are totally unreadable (e.g. the stroke one).
I’m working on a project with 2 files:the Design system, containing the entire component, style and variable library the Delivery file, containing the final mockups.I draft mockups from a “Sandbox” page on the Design system as a way to save time by limiting library publications & updates. Then once it’s ready, I copy/paste the final mockups from the Design system file to the Delivery file.Until now I had no issue. But today, I’m getting the following message:I don’t understand why I’m getting this message. Obviously I want to keep all variables attached only to the Design system file as the single source of assets.I’ve double-checked: the library in the Design system file was fully published and updated on the Delivery file before I copy/pasted the mockups into the latter file. I’ve done it multiple times.The Design system file contains a few hundred variables, and if I do click “Copy variables into this file” on the banner, the confirmation message says “21 variables pasted”.I’m g
This a repost from “Share Your Feedback” (no one from Figma team reviewed it):Feedback 1: since Figma Desktop App version 126.2.7 text styles picker always shows libraries of styles in collapsed state. It’s super annoying, since search doesn’t work until you un-collapse it.Feedback 2: please fix up/down arrow behavior on styles. Example: the text span has style “Body/Emphasized” → I press arrow up expecting it to switch to “Body/Emphasized” → instead Figma selects “Headline/Regular” (the style that just happened to be below the search box). I papercut myself on this multiple times every day for the past couple of months now, at least.Figma’s a great product, I love it, but bugs like these are a big let down for me. I believe basic features like text styles should be dogfooded more to remain best in class.

I am a student and we have a free student plan from our school. I am trying to verify my student plan but it says that I have exceeded the verification limit or I have already activated it. Although the role on my profile is set to Education > Student but when I join on Edu Teams, it wants me to verify my status and I can’t verify it because it won’t let me. I have already contacted SheerID but they take way too long on responding.
I have been medically ill for past 3 years and worked lst 3 years back in figma. I previously opened figma - i had so many files and versions of projects but since 3 years a lot has changed in the figma community - i thought my files were safe here since i was saving on a cloud platform. I even checked 1 year and 6 months a go the files were there and now suddenly it is not there. the work i did in my previous companies - their versions, are gone,. i cannot find it nor in deleted section nor in drafts or projects. i mean like what … all my hard work gone ???

I am probably reporting this problem for the 6th or 7th time, but it’s important for my career as a UI/UX designer, so it would be great if i could get the required help. Hello, I tried to create a new account with my job email address, when the project owner sent to me the share link to a project.Never received any confirmation email from you on that email address, nor I am be able to reset the password because I don’t receive emails from you.Today I just got a reminder on the job email address account (that I could not confirm nor change the password) that I still did not opened the project (guess why… -.-)I thought the problem could be that I already have an account.Then saw this topic → And it really seems a similar issueCan you shed some light please?Thanks in advance

Dear Figma support,I'd like to request an audit of My Account history for the last 1 week, The subscription done is gone and all files on my account have been deleted.At the moment, I’m still unclear about what happened to the files in my account or how they can be recovered.I’m particularly concerned because this account has been active for over a year and contains numerous project files tied to ongoing products, along with an active monthly subscription. However, it now appears as though the account was newly created on March 15, 2026, with none of my previous files present.I would also like to reiterate that I did not take any action to delete my account or remove any files. Doing so would be completely counterproductive given the active projects currently associated with the account. I have already checked the Trash section (both Files and Projects tabs) and there are no files present. and also i am not a member of any other teams or organizations where the files could be located.
I am not able to publish my plugin because of “some reason”.I get the message “detected a change to your account details” like many others I have seen in the forum.The error message suggests to contact support, and after doing that, the reponse email suggests to write on the forum. Like I am doing. It is a very confusing and quite frustrating process and it would be nice to have an idea of how long this could take. So could you write here the expected waiting time for this kind of issue? Maybe that will help other people in the same situation in the future. Thank you.

I recently updated Figma and now when I’m in a file or on Home and click the [+] in the top bar to open another file - the search bar isn’t focused anymore. I have to go and click on it to start searching where before it was focused by default. It’s really annoying. Tabbing doesn’t work either - it cycles through already open files from left.

There doesn’t seem to be a clear or consistent reason for this, and the behavior appears somewhat random. We have been using Figma Education accounts with our students for several years without experiencing these issues.Additionally, the validation process seems inconsistent: some students receive approval almost immediately, while others receive no response at all and remain stuck in a blocked state, leaving their accounts unusable.I would kindly ask if you could give special attention to accounts using the **@esmad.ipp.pt** domain. Currently my figma account is linked to my school email account, but I need to change it to my personal email before my school email is eventually deleted. The whole process goes smoothly, I get the confirmation email, I click “confirm email”, and then it says that I can’t update my email because it’s already taken, but the “email” they say is taken is just random letters and obviously not my email.
Hello,I encountered an issue while using Figma. I am unable to access a file that I originally created. The page currently shows the message “You can’t access this resource.”This file was created by me, and I have always been the creator/owner of the project. Previously, I only invited a few collaborators to work on the file. However, I can no longer access the file, and I cannot find it in my project list.I have also checked my Drafts, but the file is not there. I’m not sure what happened.This project is very important to me and I’m quite concerned about losing access to it.
