When I go to take two frames and autolayout, it only registers one frame

Hi, @Annick Saralegui. Thanks for your post - sounds like a confusing experience for you.

When you select two frames and enable auto-layout, it will add a parent frame and enable auto-layout on that. If you look at the layers panel, you should see that your existing layers become children of a new frame layer. Are you not seeing that, or were you expecting something else to happen? If you want to enable auto-layout on two frames at once, you’ll need to select each on individually and enable auto-layout one at a time. Let me know if I’ve misunderstood, though!

thanks for your fast response! It doesn’t become a child, they stay separate! One stays as a frame and the other “says” it becomes autolayouted but it doesn’t show remove autolayout so seems like a glitch is happening. I duplicated the file and does the same thing in the new file.

Ok, that’s pretty strange! Do you think you could make a screen recording of what you are seeing? I think it would be helpful to see what happens with your layers, property panel, and the canvas when you try to do this. I’m attaching my own recording so you can how I was doing it.

Thanks for the video! Interesting… I can’t tell for sure from the video but it seems like it shifts to selecting one frame when you right-click and the menu shows (I assume you then clicked the auto-layout option in the menu). Instead of using the menu after selecting both layers, press SHIFT + A on your keyboard. Does that work as expected for you?
