New UI ruined the Scale tool (K) with unwanted keyframes

I am really struggling with the new animation layout and would love an option to hide or disable it, as I do not use animation in my workflow.

Additionally, I am having trouble with the Scale tool. Hitting K no longer brings up the panel, making it difficult to scale elements proportionally. The only available option seems to be the Transform tool, but using it adds unwanted keyframes to my elements.

Thanks for your post, @THE-MZ. It’s unfortunate this is interrupting your worflow.

Are you currently selected on Motion in toolbar at the bottom of Figma Design? The only way that the timeline and other Motion-specific options will be shown is if you’ve selected that rather than Design (similar to how if you select Draw or Dev Mode it will change what you see). If you click on Design, it will hide the timeline and also ensure that the K key command switches to the Scale tool.
