Hi,I have a slot with a “swap” component, height and width set to hug.When I swap this for, let’s say, my “Tag” component which have fixed height, I have a problem.The height is correctly set to “Fixed”, but it match the previous height of the swap component.If I go to hug, then fixed again, the tooltip show me the correct fixed height, but as soon as I click on it, it jumped to the value of the swap component.Basically, that’s making it impossible to use with fixed height component.The only way to use that would be to wrap my component into a new local component and apply it to the swap, but what a waste of energy ! 

I have a project that I cannot export from figma slide to power point presentation format (PPTX).The error just show unable to export file. tried to export only the frame I needed, got the same issue. 

On Windows 11, using Figma 125.11.6, the copy and paste functions are unavailable in the variable management page. For example, when I try to copy a color value using Ctrl+C, it only copies the entire line of variable data, not the text I want. This results in the copied color value being empty when pasted elsewhere.The older version of variable management allowed copying individual text values. Hopefully, this can be fixed.

Hello, I am a student at Harvard University and I am having issues updating/creating a Figma student account due to Sheer ID verification.  I have submitted a help ticket to Sheet ID but they are requiring a student email address, which has not been assigned to me to date.  I can provide the necessary information that confirms my enrollment.  My classes begin on Monday January 26th and we have a group Figma project that has been shared with the class.  Any help would be most appreciated to get access to the software prior to the start of class.

Hello,I added my high school email information (not this account) to the Figma Education application form a few weeks ago, and sent an email recently, but did not get a response either time. What’s the expected wait time for applications?

I have tried many times to verify my educator account, however, after two trials it now always says that I have exceeded my limit for applying for education plan.  I tried different work emails, and I have contacted SheerID a few times. I also provided screenshots of my teaching assistant profile and a screenshot of our class in Canvas, but  all my communications ended in:“We were unable to process your verification request. While we can't offer further details or support for this specific inquiry, please ensure all information submitted is accurate and meets the eligibility criteria for future attempts. Your ticket has now been permanently closed.”

I’ve attempted several times to verify my education account using the approved documents (screenshot of my teacher profile and PDF of my contract). I’ve reached out to SheerID for assistance because I’m now getting an error saying I’ve exceeded my limit for applying for education account. Figma Make’s AI tool is clearly  improving but on our dime. We have limited credits that are used up when the AI makes and error, identifies a better way to proceed, produces updates and changes that don.t work. The user then has to create a new propt that describes the problem while the ai tries another approach that still doesn’t work. That alone is not sop bad, but when it quickly runs your out of credits it feels like we are paying for training the AI. As the Program Chair for a college with several courses were we train students to use Figma this creates a real problem. What can you recommend tohelp with this issue?DB

Hi there.  I reverified my figma for education plan and after weeks of waiting and talking to support I go notified that my work email got verified for the edu plan instead of my personal/school email 😭. I’m not sure why my work email was associated with the edu plan in the first place but I’ve been trying to move the edu plan to my personal or school email and filled out the form that they sent to do that but it’s been over a month and no change has happened. I don’t even have access to my work email anymore because my internship is over so I can’t use the Edu plan. Is there anyway I can get help or do I have to keep waiting?

Hello.I have a setup where there’s a file that acts as a library carrying main components and a couple of design files for different platforms that calls these components from the main library file.However. after some time (During which I haven’t worked on any of the files or the main library) I opened the files and found out that the majority of components and instance swaps in my design files had reset to their main states. some of them have nested variants from other components within themnothing triggered this as the files and the library were left unopened for about a month. So I wasn’t working on the project or in other words it’s not a library update that triggered this, it happened on it's own.for more details about the components in my mobile app design I had a Title bar with a varying number of icons between different pages (notification & side menu & message icons) some pages had only 1 of them.. some pages had

I can no longer copy one line of CSS out of dev view.I now have to use the clipboard icon to copy all the CSS and paste it into my file, then delete what I don’t need.I have added stills showing basics.I am on a Mac Sequoia 15.3.1, using Figma in Firefox Dev 139.0b5. It seems to be ok in Chrome, but that is irrelevant, unfortunately, as process is dependent on Firefox Dev.

Hello, Figma experts. I am currently facing a very serious problem.My figma file disappeared out of thin air. And even though I didn't actively delete it and checked the trusted team files, drafts, and trash cans, I still couldn't find my files. I make it a component using CTRL+ALT+K. I go to my work page where I paste this component, then I go to the interactions (prototype). I want to play it on click, but in the video dropdown menu, my video is grayed out, so I can't select it as the target for my playback action.If I copy the same video to my work page (without it being a component), the video isn't grayed out (interactions in prototype).Can you tell me why? Is it simply that videos can't be components that would allow the use of prototype and interaction fun

We have a confirmed Dev seat assigned to a user (Organization → Members shows Dev, upgraded by admin, billing active, role = Software development).Dev Mode works correctly on figma.com, but in the Desktop App clicking the </> Dev Mode icon triggers a “request Dev Mode access” flow, as if the user didn’t have a Dev seat.We already verified: Dev seat assignment and billing User role (not guest / not external) Organization settings (no Dev Mode restrictions) Full macOS cache + preferences reset Remove & re-invite user This seems to be an account-level Dev Mode entitlement desync affecting the Desktop App only.Could you please re-sync or refresh the Dev Mode entitlement for this user?

Heyy,Before I had the possibility to align two shapes/components/anything together while they were in 2 distincts frames. For example to simulate the gap between instagram posts, apple store preview etc.I usually was able to select the 2 items, and by clicking on the horizontal alignment, they were aligning perfectly. It’s no working anymore in my Figma and wanted to understand if it was a bug, removed feature or simply a false memory…Would be nice to be able to do that again 💜Thanks! Edit: It’s working correctly with different text blocks in multiples frames …
