Report a Problem

Bug happens when we have two elements: top one have mask operation applied to a group. I made a smallest reproducable case, it is avaliable in the attached design. After exporting to png format:await node.exportAsync({ format: 'PNG' })Exported result is looking completely different from what is displayed in playground or in the Figma player. I’ve attached the result in that document. From extracted bytes it is clear that problem is not in opacity of pixels, but in mixing the opacity back to color, or maybe in some blending process.It does not happen in the JPG format (and in other test cases in the attached design file). By the way issue is also appears when using the export dialog: Our plugin is heavily relying on ability to accurately capture frames. It was not the case in previous Figma release, looks like some logic related to transparency calculation have changed. Tested in figma desktop app, and in chrome. OS: Win 11.

I’ve been experiencing a bug where my keyboard shortcuts no longer work as expected for the past few days, which is when they just did a new release. (It’s 2/26 now.) When I try to do things like rename a layer or apply strikethrough text, Chrome’s browser shortcuts take over instead. For example, pressing the rename shortcut refreshes the page. I usually work in the browser version of Figma, and switching to the desktop app isn’t ideal for my workflow. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Could this be a bug from the new update, or is it something on my end? I'd really appreciate any insights or if the Figma team could look into this.

The AI translation function loses the original text formatting (markdown, eg: 1. 2. 3.). 

Hi, I want to use number variables for font weight so that the variables connection can be displayed in dev mode / inspect panel. However, it seems that the font weight is ignored when applying the text style to text in Figma.When string variables are used, you get to see the following in dev mode / inspect panel > CSS:font-weight: 400;When number variables are used, you get to see the following in dev mode / inspect panel > CSS:font-weight: var(--Regular, 400);After creating number variables for font weight and text styles that are connected to the variables: It seems that the font weight is ignored when applying the text style to text in Figma. When using string variables it does work. Is this a known issue? 

When we send prototypes to clients, the nav is hidden under your UI. There should be a quick command to make it disappear and re-appear when commenting. When you disable the UI, you have to click out of the prototype and click on it again to view the commenting feature. 

I clicked on publish updates as usual, but this time the updating process didn’t start. I waited like 5 min. and nothing happened so I closed the file and opened it again, and there was a badge saying: “This file has unsaved changes”. I tried to publish again but it didn’t work. All these is happening only on the Figma app, because I opened the file in Chrome and I successfully published the changes from there, but if I open the file on the FIgma app is still showing the badge of pending changes (and a little blue icon to sync in the thumbnail view). This is the second time this has happened in different files. The previous one I duplicated the file from Chrome with the final updates applied and then removed the old file with the pending changes, but is not the ideal, since I needed to sync that “new/duplicated” library and relink it into the design files.   

Since yesterday the Figma to Framer Plugin no longer works, it freezes, claiming to be running.Turns out it works well on the web app, but not on the desktop version. A lot of users on the Framer forum are having the same exact issue.Anybody else here? Framer (who i guess developed it) have been notified, but no response (This plugin: https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/1037108608720448600) 

I have lost access to my design file, whose owner has now left the organisation. I need the access to the file so that I can at least replicate the data and save in another file. Below is the screenshot attached as to what exactly is happening.  

“Copy dev mode link” in the share modal is not working on some files. It copies a URL with m=auto, so the link does not open in dev mode. The only way is for me to change the URL manually to m=dev, which is incredibly inconvenient especially when I have already pasted a lot of URLs in my documentation.

See what happen here. “Snap to Pixel Grid” is checked, but the object's position values ​​still appear as decimal points.What's really unique is that the Y value only drops by 0.5 units.This issue is still unresolved, but Figma treats it as a resolved issue. 

Why don't the new versions run? But when I click, the figma image is first shown and then the program doesn't open.Why don't versions higher than 124.6.4 run on my system?

I tried to access my figma file on my 2021 macbook pro since yesterday and I'm just stuck in a blank screen that doesn't display my files. I tried this on web and desktop app and on multiple browsers the same issue. but it works when I access my files on a windows laptop. I attached a screenshot below

My education plan on Figma expired, so I upgraded to a professional plan assuming it would give me access to my Figma files again, but they are still locked and telling me to request permission… Who am I asking permission to? They’re my files. I would appreciate help with this as I need the content of these files right now.

Hi,the color of my nested component was reset when I using variable to change this component variant.My component :I override the color​​ in the instance and change manualy the variant  → Overrided color was keeped​​​​​I used attach the variant name to my variables → Overrided color was keepedI nested Component 1 to a second Component 2. Changed manually the variant →  Overrided color was keeped ​​I used variable to automaticely change variant → Overrided color reseted ! There are a soluion to keep the overried colors ?

Hi all !  I’m used to use the Pen to remove the background of my picture, and then resizing it as I want.But since the new updates, when I try to resize it it only resize the vector and not the image even if it’s the mask group that is selected. However, I don’t have the issue on older picture I’ve created a mask with before the update. Anyone has this issue too ? Thanks in advance 

When components are set “ready for dev”, if you just click on the component to check font (for example) it moves back to yellow. Nothing was change, I just clicked in the copy inside the component but it still moves back to yellow.

Some shortcuts are not working in figma desktop app (Doesn’t matter if its on mac or win) I cant use shortcut for changing text size,  swap outline with fill which is shift x and many more. Tried searching on figma forum and found nothing except keyboard layout, mine is set to US keyboard and its indeed a US keyboard

I’ve been seeing Figma fail to automatically save changes. It’s happened about 5 times but I have conclusive proof: after taking screen shots yesterday and when I turned my computer on today the changes I made were gone. What could be causing this and is there any way I can save manually?

My figma keeps crashing, I use the browser version. I use it on a macbook pro-m3. Anyone that can help me here?! It happens like every once in 10 minutes once it starts. 

Hi Figma community,I have an issue wheni first load this Figma prototype in Full Screen Presentation view, it seems the top of planet image/elemnt drop shadow is clipped?The issue only shows once when going to full screen prototype, in the intial smaller presentation window the issue is not present, if i tab back to Figma design and hide/show the planet element the issue is resolved when i come pack to the presentation windowI checked all surrounding elements and none have clip enabled, the planet image is a png with trasnparency dragged into figma, the drop shadow is a native property made in figmaHas anyone else come accross this issue?See screenshot of issue when opening to presentation view vvInitial load of prototype windows not in full screen, no issue vv

Hello! I’m having trouble exporting SVG files that contain gradients and blur effects. Previously, I could export these same files without any issues, but now even simpler images fail to export correctly.On Mac, the error also appears when viewing the file in Preview.  

Sometimes after I move objects, especially if I’ve rotated them, they randomly move after I’ve clicked out of the object. I’ve had objects rotate, move, and scale without me doing anything. Undoing a step doesn’t fix the problem—I have to manually adjust each time objects get moved. This is extremely frustrating and time consuming. Please address this bug ASAP.
