Question

noindex always on

Antony_Smith

Regardless of “Exclude all pages from search engine results” being checked or not the site is always set to noindex. I’ve tried multiple ways to change with publish, unpublish setting the field on/off then updating etc yet it’s still set to noindex.

Pretty significant issue tbh!

I’ve just attempted a work around and to my surprise Google seems fine with it and ignores the noindex flag!

Just add the following into the custom code, end of <head> field:

<meta name="robots" content="all">

Hi all,

I’m facing the same issue and adding “<meta name="robots" content="all">” at the end of <head> field doesn’t work for me ..

Antony_Smith

It’s doesn’t remove the noindex attribute but Google seem to evaluate whatever it gets first so ignores the noindex later in the Head

@Guimic Looking at this again and just discovered there's a second place you get set this in the Settings > Webpages to noindex individual pages. Removed and it's worked  🤦
