Report a Problem

I am trying to create an instance swap on Figma on my iPad (in browser) I’ve tried several browsers and the behaviour is always the same. I select the piece of the component I want to instance swap (a chevron pointing down) and select the create instance swap property button. The popup appears and I can name or switch the instance but when I click to add a preferred instance to swap with the window closes with nothing having happened. The same is true when I click “Create Property” closes with nothing having happened. I also tried creating the property from the top level component and a similar issue occurs. I can name the property but when I click the “Pick an instance” button, the menu opens to pick one but clicking a component to use as an instance just closes the menu without having done anything. And you can’t create the property from this window without having picked an instance first. The instances I want to be able to swap are made from two chevron components.

Hey guys,When you PREVIEW a screen, in the past (and randomly nowaday as well), it was possible to cycle through the pages with the arrow keys, without having to PREVIEW a screen each time. You would simply hit RIGHT or LEFT and you would preview the next and previous pages.Why doesn’t it work anymore? I mean it works sometimes, but it’s very random. In the past it used to work all the time, now it works, but only sometimes. For example yesterday it was working, today it isn’t.

When selecting an object, the marking used to disappear when you change color - so you could see the effect in-real-time. Now we have to de-select the object to view the change. Really an issues that needs to be fixed!  

When I click update to update my branch with the main file, I get this prompt. This just started happened within the last 2 weeks or so. This is unique to me, my other team members are not having this issue. thanks

I frequently use AI tools (like ChatGPT) to generate structured content, especially tables formatted in markdown. When I copy these tables into platforms like Google Docs or Microsoft Word, the structure is preserved and rendered as expected.However, when pasting the same content into Figma, the markdown formatting is lost—tables end up appearing as plain chained text, which makes them unreadable and requires manual cleanup or reformatting.Steps to Reproduce: Ask an AI (e.g. ChatGPT) to create a markdown-formatted table. Copy the output and paste it into Figma. Observe that the table structure is not maintained—no columns or row alignment, just plain text. It would be a huge productivity win if Figma could improve its support for markdown-like structures, or at least offer better parsing for common table formats used in pasted text.Thanks for your amazi

For some reason when i align an objet with a rule set to 160px from the border of the frame, when i click ALT it showed that the pixel is 161px off the border.This somtimes happens to the left, and sometimes happen to the right.

Have lost ability to undo, as in command-Z. EDIT: Reloaded tabs and its working again. Please close.

Whenever I search for something in Community, I’m taken to the results page as expected. But if I click into a resource and then hit the back button, I’m returned to the Community landing page instead of my search results. This forces me to search all over again for what I was looking for.

I don’t know what changes, or when its happening, but almost every time i have to reload the prototype play to see the updated design result…. And the reload button is far to reach behind mouse 2 click, no keyboard shortcut!!

Hi there I designed - actually i have slides that i made by using html to design importer. On figmage they are fine but when i download the pptx file - the background colours are all gone.  Kindly assist   Thanks  

In the present prototype, "Copy Link" is not creating the right URL. URL should have “prototype” in them but now it has “design” instead. The copied link goes to the front cover of the working Figma file. 

Since yesterday Im unable to remove interactions by simply pressing delete key after focusing on interaction connector line. I can still remove them by clicking minus icon in the sidebar area.The problem occurs only in both web and desktop app. Im using Macbook Pro M1.

i’m a figma noobie and use it for simple mockups, re-opening it every few monthsi took a screenshot (.png) that I want to paste into figma (free version, windows dekstop)every time I add a screenshot image (and so far, any image) by either dragging it from a folder or using ‘place image’, it shows up as a translucent rectanglevisibility is set to 100%it’s also not a layer issuei’ve:reinstalled figma restarted my computer renamed figma’s cache folder tried the figma web app disabled hardware acceleration reset figm and restart made sure my graphics drivers were up to dateplease help 

Hi everyone, I was wondering if its just me doing something wrong or is there a restriction on using a Favicon and Open Graph on Figma Sites?In Figma Site i find I have to have my favicon and Open Grpah image visible on the Sites canvas for it to be published on the website, seems quite restrictive? I also noticed Fiogma Sites does not allow you to select a library component to use for these and it has to be uploaded to the site from my computer,Please see screenshots for clarity. basically if the elements are hidden on the canvas the opengraph and favicon do not publish. 

I am unable to create prototype preview links. When I go to the prototype preview, and select Share Prototype, it generates a whiteboard link instead. I have created preview links for these files before without a problem, and links I had sent out previously appear to be fine. So it is not a settings issue and appears to be a link generation bug. Is anyone else having this issue?

Hello,I have recently purchased a Full seat which includes Dev Mode access (screenshot attached). I’m using the Figma Desktop App, but I don’t see any option to enable Dev Mode under Preferences.Here’s what I’ve already tried: Confirmed I’m on a Full seat with Dev Mode included. Using the latest Figma Desktop version. Restarted the app and checked for updates. Cleared cache and logged back in. Could you please help me enable Dev Mode or check if there’s any issue with my account or rollout?

Hi community, I am seeking help on how to manage a Library for a design system that is getting ready to be published and used in other files. In the design system file have created a components, styles and variables. In this DS file I created a component with variants. The different variants use different text styles. With the text styles some of the typography parameters have variables applied to them for storing values that are in a variables collection. The component also has some color variables being used on it. I've used plugins like Design Lint and Find Missing Variables to double check if the component has all parameters defined by styles and variables.As a test I published the component, some styles and variables it uses as well as some other variables and styles. I then went to another file, added the published DS library, inserted the published component from the DS lib as well as applied some of the published variables and styles to some other components of the second file.

I got this error while using community.

I work in the Figma app (not in the browser)It is impossible to work, if you try to work with large or medium-sized files, then every 2-5 minutes in Figma the app screen darkens and it restarts.I can't figure out what the problem is...The laptop is new, with good performance.Please tell me what can be done?And could this be a problem in Figma itself or in the laptop?
