Hello!
Please fix this focus change from the tool we are working on to the file changes update status icon.
We are typing, but as soon as the latest changes are disconnected or not synced with the server, the focus jumps to the unsaved changes icon, preventing us from continuing our work, and this happens a lot!
In these cases, I have to wait for the changes to be saved or click the mouse again on the area I was working on to return the focus to that area and tool!
And if there is any solution to solve my problem in Figma settings, so please let me know!

I understand that you’re looking for a way to stop the focus from jumping to the “Unsaved changes” notification while working offline.

I just tested this on my end, but the focus doesn’t jump to the “This file has unsaved changes.” notification when it appears — it stays on the selected frame.
 

 

To start troubleshooting, could you please check a few things below?

  • Is this issue happening in all browsers (e.g., Chrome, Firefox) and also in the desktop app?

  • Does it occur in all files, or just a specific one?

  • Can you try connecting via a different network (such as a mobile hotspot) and check if the behavior changes?

  • A video recording of the issue (showing the full Figma screen and your network status), along with clear step-by-step instructions to reproduce it
