Report a Problem

In my design system file, all raw numeric primitive variables are appearing in the design property for Text Size, even though they’re all descoped and prohibited from Publishing. This creates a lot of confusion whenever trying to apply typography-associated tokens to main components in the same file, as I migrate them over from my ideation files. Ironically, this is not the case for other separate files that have the design system toggled on. Is this a bug anyone else has encountered? Anyone have a manual workaround to force things to descope?

1. Describe the bug/issue you’re running into? On my Swedish layout keyboard I can’t find the “/” to start the Cursor Chat. 2. Are you able to consistently reproduce it? If so what are the steps? 3. A small bug I came across today while using the tool. Just thought to draw your attention over there. When hovering over the collection list the cursor also represents the resizing option for the background “Create Variable” container. Attaching GIF for more clarity.

Hello! I need to create cards that, when hovering, the image scaling and the shadowing appears at the bottom. I used interactive components for this. But if I replace the image, it constantly reloads and blinking. Sorry for bad English.

I am facing issues when I want to publish my plugin. Whenever I try to publish I find this error

Current behaviour: When I have no frame selected, the item(s) I have copied is pasted inside the frame I copied it from — or pasted into some other random frame. Expected behaviour: When I have no frame selected, the item(s) I have copied are pasted at the top level, and no inside any other frame. Note: Not sure how Figma have got this so wrong. I’m currently having to create a new file to paste things into just to avoid this unexpected behaviour. I know it’s been an issue for a while, which makes it more frustrating it hasn’t been fixed yet.

Are there any restrictions on when components can be nested into each other? I’ve created 2 components, added 2 instances to a frame but it won’t let me nest them. Is this a bug or am I missing something? I’ve tried via drag & drop and via ctrl+x / ctrl+v but nothing works.

I needed to put a negative number in for the vertical gap in a wrap autolayout, but Figma doesn’t let you use negative numbers there. However, it does let you use a negative number for the horizontal gap. What’s weird is that I can use a negative number in a variable and use that variable for the vertical gap. So there’s a workaround, but it seems like I shouldn’t have to create a variable just for that.

Hi! I am developing a codegen plugin and would like to process detached components. If I paste a component from remote library and detach it, detachedInfo property contains {type: 'local', componentId: '-1:-1'} so I can’t get any data about main component. However, Figma itself keeps link to main component as I can see it in the interface.

When the alignment buttons are clicked, nudging your selection get “disabled” because the button focus still remains on the alignment buttons. Because of that, the arrow keys scrolls up and down the right sidebar instead of nudging your selection. Once you click out of the alignment buttons, the focus returns to your selection, and nudging works again. This also happens when you click the [+] autolayout button; the click focus stays on that button. When you remove the autolayout by clicking the same button, the same issue persists.

Here we go… Figma doesn’t work well with DM Sans font in prototype mode, for people who don’t have it installed locally. Special symbols (like arrows ->) are replaced with emojis, and some text sections are disappearing completely. Switch back to the design file, and everything is fine there. The funny thing is that the right font is displayed for a few milliseconds before Figma starts to display the bugged one (I guess because it needs some time to load the bugged font, while displaying what’s came from the design source). Seems like Figma is pulling an old Google font in the prototype mode. Any ideas on how to fix this?

When I try to publish any component It’s showing “Component unpublished successfully” instead of successfully published. Please help this is urgent.

Hey there, Every day that I turn my mac on, the Figma auto launches with the files that I had left open previously. However, it keeps opening another file that I don’t interact with. Any idea what’s happening and how to stop this specific file to being opened? No, I can’t delete the file 😅 Thanks

I’ve reported this bug but not news so far… I have a complex table component, which has many Cells instances. I use variable to configure the table to my needs. Cells height, Starting column, trailing column, theme… I have this bug which for some reason when swapping variant via variable it fails to render the instance. It loads all layers in the layer panel but won’t render the shapes on the canvas… I have a video showing the issue with a file after a while and the second part in a new file. The second video shows that this issue is only happening on older files. The instances load fine when the file is new… Demo EDIT: Just noticed that once the file is idle or closed and reopened the variant change via variables does not work anymore… Bug playground:Figma – 7 May 24

When creating dissolve or smart animations the drop shadow and inner shadow properties aren’t animated as expected. Since browsers support animations of this property I hope Figma will fix this. Example (This should be smoothly animated the focus drop shadow ring)

There appears to be a bug with Open Sans Italic. It’s displaying as super bold - even bolder than Bold Italic. This is a Google Font so it’s a default font in Figma, we didn’t upload it ourselves. Anyone else having this issue?

trying to review and merge changes (small ones) - the screen is stuck on “checking for conflicts” and nothing happens.

I keep getting this message, saying I’m offline and that the changes aren’t synced. Additionally, components are buggy, I change something and it doesn’t get updated until I refresh the page. I would use Option key to duplicate the frames and sometimes it would work, sometimes it would just pull the frame with no contents in it. Everything in the file is acting strange and buggy. Anyone had the same experience?

Hi, I have seen something that seems to be a bug in the plugin api, (or if it’s not, i’d like to know what i’m doing wrong) with a rectangle node container having a gradient fill, such as this when accessing the getter fills in my code, i get an error message : Uncaught Error Error: in get_fills: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'colorVar') at get_fills (<eval>/VM46947625:23:21) and the call stack points to where i’m calling figmaNode.fills I have searched my code for the pattern colorVar to check if I was doing anything funny with that, but it is nowhere there, it seems that the get_fills is the internal getter that gets called when calling .fills I have a bunch of other rectangle with gradients that all work fine, (only the one on the left is failing) i have looked in details to try to isolate what’s unique about the left one, but nothing stands out, the rectangle contains 1 fill only of type gradient, here’s the config of the gradient i didn’t use any color

Hey all, I’m trying to see the effect of splitting our DS library into 3 separate libs (Styles, Icons and Components). The thing that bothers me the most - and I’m pretty sure it is a bug - is that you need to select the internal icon of the component in order to see the available icons. See for yourself: I feel this shouldn’t be necessary! Have you seen the same behavior? Edit: Wow, didn’t know the Windows snipping tool was recording the sound as well 😅

After your v1.92 update, old objects with gradient no longer receive the “gradientStops” data, while the newly created ones work well. I think you might need to run a data migration for older objects as copy-pasting old objects does not solve the problem.

I noticed some slight layout shift in my prototype animations, and found that there is some extra scrolling happening that gets reset when animating between Frames. I found that even when scrolling is completely turned off, the Presentation mode will still scroll to the left and down a bit. My design extends to the edge of Frame, and scrolling is off, but when I scroll, these thin white bars slide into view from the bottom and right sides: Is this a bug, or am I missing something? Thanks!
