Hey @Lipi, thanks for reaching out!

A few things that might help narrow this down:

  • Are you seeing any error messages when it freezes?
  • Does it happen in the browser (which browser?), the desktop app, or both?
  • Is everything up to date (browser or Figma desktop app)?
  • Do you notice any memory warnings when this happens?

It’s also worth trying a couple of quick checks:

  • Open the file on a different network (like a mobile hotspot) or temporarily disable any VPN/proxy/firewall
  • Clear your browser cache, then reopen Figma in a fresh window
  • If you’re using the desktop app, try force-quitting and restarting it

For browsers, Figma works best on the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.

Let me know what you’re seeing after trying these, happy to help out further!

Subject: Critical Issue: Desktop App Tab Blinking and UI Crashing

Issue Description: I am experiencing a persistent technical failure while using the Figma Desktop App. The application enters a "blinking" ( prototype issue while playing the animation) state where the active tab flashes repeatedly, followed by a crash or a generic error message. This behavior makes it impossible to interact with the canvas or save progress. ( I attached video below, look at that once you can get better understanding.)

Figma file link:

https://www.figma.com/design/mkMTj6jO7npZGRZ3kACLqT/Brain-Booster-V-4?node-id=0-1&t=uxQwxUe5VsPh4hvP-1

Symptoms:

  • Visual Glitching: The entire editor tab flashes/blinks rapidly.

  • Error Message: An error prompt appears (e.g., "An error occurred while loading this page" or "WebGL hit a snag").

  • App Unresponsiveness: The desktop app becomes completely unresponsive during the blinking cycle.

Environment Details:

  • Platform: Figma Desktop App

  • System:  Windows 11

  • Occurrence: [Mention if it happens on all files or just one specific project]

Troubleshooting Already Attempted:

  • Restarted the desktop application.

  • Checked for app updates.

  • Verified that hardware acceleration is enabled.

  • Already i check the memory usage, file was consumed 8 % to 9
