This feature is not working anymore on MacOS on the newest version 125.6.5 (I have this issue on my Macbook Pro M4 and Mac mini M2). Fortunately, my Windows PC is still working.If anyone has this issue, please help me raise this up to Figma!

Hi, I’m facing a strange behaviour right now and I did not find a way to make it work yet…Maybe you folks can help me find a solution or point me in the right direction. My plan is to create a sidebar navigation pattern where designers can modify the menu structure easily. The structure of the example includes a “Single Item” component set where all the different navigation link type are collected (e.g. Headline, Link, Subline, Divider, etc.) and a “Section” component set that is used to allow the designers to choose how many navigation items they want to have in a section. Now to the strange behaviour. When I use the “Mobile” boolean on the “Single Item” component all works as expected. Inactive “Mobile” is full width and active “Mobile” is max-width of 68px. See an example below:

I have several components that I need to let users freely add their own content to certain sections. Currently, the only way I can find to do this is to create a blank area and have the user place a frame of their own on top, ignoring the parent frame’s auto layout. Instead, I want them to be able to drag their own content into an editable frame within my component so that the component will resize based on their added content.The most commonly recognizable example of this is a modal component. I want to have the same header, footer, and frame on all components but I want to leave a space in the body area for the user to put anything they want. I’ve seen the slot swap idea but that only works if I have a hand full of pre-made configurations. In my modal component, I have no idea what the end user (the designer) might dream up. They might have a form, they might need a paragraph on top or a table or an image or two, etc. I want to let them do that without breaking the componen

Hi, as of today the button for Figma make in the toolbar is gone. Neither I nor my colleagues can access it anymore. You can still press actions and search for “Figma make”. But honestly it makes work a lot slower.

  I'm going to proceed with Figma student authentication by school mail, but when I exceeded the number of mail authentication about 3 times, the Verification Limit Exceed message appears and the authentication is limited. It's a serious situation where all the developers of our team can't develop due to the sudden cutoff of student authentication, so please exceed the number of certifications as soon as possible. It's an urgent situation, so please take care of it as soon as possible. Thank you.  

Seems like the line between the FigJam options and the Halloween toggle has a divider that gets outside of its container. :-)

Hello everyone, I’m using Figma’s MCP through ChatGPT’s dev mode (web version), since from what I understand the “native” ChatGPT apps are not yet available in the EU. Overall, it seems to work correctly: the diagrams are generated as requested.The issue arises when I click on “Edit in Figma”: it opens a project with the correct name, but it has no content, as if it were a newly created file.In your opinion, is this a problem on ChatGPT’s side or Figma’s side?Thank you in advance for any insight.

Hey when I copy a figma make design and drop it in the file I’m having an issue were lots of text is wrapping to a second row when in the design preview its on a single line. It’s really slowing down my work as I have to manually click on all instances and double click to get the text back on to a single line. See the example picture of figma make preview vs copy design

Recently I wanted to try out the Figma Material Theme Builder plugin but after a short test run decided not to use it. However it created into the colour library a bunch of default colours under the group “Schemes” that I can’t get rid of. I’ve uninstalled the plugin and manually removed from the right design panel the colours, but they still come up in the library. I haven’t used the colours anywhere.Anybody knows how to get rid of these colours?   

I have a repeatable pattern, where the source use a variable that has two modes; light and dark. The mode is set to auto (default: light) on the pattern frame itself. When the pattern is applied and I swap the mode in a frame from light to dark; everything changes, except from the pattern. In my case the pattern should have turned to a dark color. Is this a bug? A feature? And is there a workaround? Repeatable diagonal line pattern

I’m creating a template in Figma Slides. I deleted the predefined colors and added new ones, but when I click “Remix Template Colors,” the old deleted colors come back (with broken links in the ‘selection colors’ overview). It seems they’re not actually removed. Has anyone else experienced this?

Icon is sized incorrectly after updating latest from a published library.Detaching the instance fixes the offset, but is obviously no longer a component.Similarly I have a progress bar that is not obeying its fill and goes beyond its frame. Detaching the instance fixes it.

I try to use scope different variables bit I don't know why the scope isn't working

I am having the same issue and I have emailed figma education on Thursday and they still have not responded. I emailed sheer id 5 times and they also have closed the ticket without resetting the verification limit. I sent another email to education@figma.com today and still no response. I was using my school email for class and now I am unable to edit any of my school files. I have been waiting for months for a response and resolution. I have the proper documents ready to upload. I was verified before and now I can not do anything. 

Hi ,I’m a graduate student and I’m unable to reverify my students account. Each time i try to verify it says i exceeded my limit. I also tried SheerId multiple times but i get a standard reply saying  “Hello,Thanks for contacting SheerID.We were unable to process your verification request. While we can't offer further details or support for this specific inquiry, please ensure all information submitted is accurate and meets the eligibility criteria for future attempts. Your ticket has now been permanently closed. “ I also tried mailing figma education weeks ago but i have’nt heard back from either. Kindly help me resolve this issue!

I seem to have hit a wall with Figma Make.  At first it wouldn’t update the preview unless I closed the desktop app and reopened it. Now it doesn’t implement any of the prompted changes.  I’ve tried resetting the app and clearing the cache. One possible explanation is that the prototype is for a complex, productiviity tool.  Any other suggestions for troubleshooting.
