guys GUYS can someone please help me >.< i started a project and still in the wireframe stage but when i try to view how it looks my preview is just blank.. ive tried everything - making sure everything is in frame - clearing my cache, resetting the laptop - everything i know. also when i open a new file and start a new project the preview is blank too but i can still preview my  old projects. pls send help SOS

Hello Figma Community!I’m looking for a quick and easy interaction, ‘on click, set varient state’.  I’m am aware I can do this with variables and conditions however, this is a lengthy and tedious process (especially since I can’t figure out how to copy and paste this conditional logic). I can also do this by creating multiple screens, but again….time consuming and tedious. Does anyone know is this on a future road map or is there currently a way to do this? The lack of this functionality may be a deal breaker for me. 😢 and this is super sad because I love Figma. 

Hi everyone, I was testing the Figma Site, while I set the scroll  behavior to “Vertical” its not working (I’ve checked that the content within is bigger than the frame), and the content is still under “Fixed” category

I have a few prototypes I’m working on, and whenever I scroll in the prototype presentation view, it will jump either up or down and totally glitch in terms of the scroll amount. I’ve tried all sorts of things like wrapping any components in Frames, removing any fixed position elements, and simplifying it as mush as possible — it’s still happening. Is this a known Figma bug that others are encountering? Thanks!

I am building a Figma Plugin that exports Figma designs to a game engine. I have noticed that if I have items using SPACE_BETWEEN aka “auto”. The outputted itemSpacing is the user defined value and not what's calculated by Figma. See the below diagram, I want the “???” in pixels. Since Figma renders it I assume it must be stored somewhere.  

I just created a Figma Make login workflow that works well and want to export all of the React code that was created by the app. When I switch from Preview to Code, I can see the perfectly structured code and and files but no option to download anything.  When I ask the Figma AI how to download the files, it suggests copy and paste of each file content and recreating locally. This is crazy as there are associated ui and component folders with 100’s of files in them. I am completely lost. I’m followingg the beginner tutorial. I’m on chapter 14. The converting of ONE LINE OF TEXT to a frame selection freezes everything and forces me to restart, then I do the same 1000 times and still not working. It’s a bug!

Wait...will I be charged for adding myself? It told me that I’d have 3 days to access Figma (when I was already logged in as myself) until “Admin” (a.k.a me) approves of basically myself? Help, please. 

I’m looking into Figma Draw vs Adobe Illustrator and noticing some inconsistencies when using vector tools such as expanding / outlining strokes. Below I’ve attached two screenshots of the letter “e”. The black is from Adobe and the white is from Figma. This “e” was created using Georgia font as the default style, expanded to vector, sized to be 62.9px tall (specific for my use case), given a 2px outer stroke, and then expanded to vector again. AdobeFigmaAs you can see, the Figma version has much more vector points. Though Adobe does have an extra line between the expansions (not sure if this is intentional or a bug, its always happened).The rendering issue becomes more apparent when using the shape builder tool. As you can see, the Figma version has extra lines and loses the hole in the “e” whereas Adobe’s tool seamlessly combines the different sections. Hi Figma Team,I encountered an issue while working on my design. I applied a gradient to the stroke of an element, which rendered perfectly in Figma. However, when I tried to publish the design to a live site, I received an error stating that "gradient stroke is not possible."This was quite surprising, as applying gradients to strokes is a fairly basic and common design requirement. It enhances visual richness and is supported in many modern design tools.Could you please help me understand why Figma doesn't support exporting gradient strokes, Is there a workaround or any upcoming update planned to support this functionality?Looking forward to your clarification.

It says that we can do everything that a professional account can do with a student account, but I cannot use the Figma Make app.

The 'figma make' feature keeps being invisible.I've paid for a Professional full seat, and even turned on the AI toggle in admin-setting, but it's still not showing up.It's the same even after clearing the browser cache and re-logging in.

Hi folks,In our Design System, we utilize a Paper base component to standardize surfaces for things like Card, Menu, Popper, etc. The Paper itself contains information regarding surface color, elevation and border levels. It is nested inside the aforementioned components, absolutely positioned and constraints set to top/bottom, left/right, so it will automatically change its size according to the parent’s frame, and locked, so it does not bug the developers, when analyzing in Dev Mode, nor does the designer accidentally select and change it while trying to manipulate something else.The issueLet’s take a Popper as an example for my issue. My page has a gallery that should load more pictures after pressing “See more” button. Once I press the button the gallery “loads” more photos but the page frame doesn’t expand to accommodate them, the pictures just go behind the footer. It didn’t used to happen before, how can I fix it so that the page itself lengthens to accommodate the content? The gallery is in an auto-layout.Pic of before:Pic of after:  

Hi everyone! I have a two-part question: Is it possible (or practical) to use a stylus with Figma on a MacBook for sketching wireframes? I find it more intuitive to sketch by hand rather than use a mouse, especially for early-stage, low-fidelity designs. The Pencil tool feels a bit restrictive with a mouse — has anyone found a good workflow using a stylus for this? I’m aiming to keep a hand-drawn, rough wireframe look but still want a touch of polish — something that looks sketchy but intentional. Any tips, plugins, or tools that help achieve that balance? Hey everyone, I’m tearing my hair out trying to get a simple boolean property to appear under the Appearance section of my test component. I’ve seen other components (like the built-in showCaption) display the boolean property toggles just fine, but no matter what I do, my new prop won’t show up—and there’s no obvious “Add property” button to click. I’m hoping someone can point out the glaring thing I’ve overlooked! 

Right now I am using this workflow:Create a grey rectangle Press copy on a image SHIFT+COMMAND+V on the rectangle to fit the image on the rectangle.Problem is I keep getting the error “image was too large for the clipboard”. So i am looking for a way to just quickly fit the original image inside the rectangle but without copying it as PNG first. Is that possible?

Hello.Is this a bug?I have a set of variables to control layout in Desktop, Tablet and Mobile breakpoints.If I apply a variable width to a frame and switch it back to Fill container, it reverts back to the variable width when I switch to the other breakpoints. I’m constant re-applying Fill container.Does Figma somehow remember the previous setting and revert back to it? Infuriating.Or is it me?Thanks,Will

Hello.Is there a way to stop Position > ignore auto-layout from removing the frame/object from the flow of the document/parent? All I want to do is z-position a frame -20px above the object above it.Easy to do in HTML and CSS. Absolute pain in the dick in Figma.What do people do to maintain a proper auto-layout?Thanks,Will

Since a week I am having trouble with exporting PDF’s in Figma. The export works fine until I want to import this PDF into Adobe Indesign or an online print tool. Both apps failed to load the Figma PDF. I have send the files directly and the service replied they are having issues opening my file. The strange thing is, I can open the PDF in Mac preview, in an internet browser and I can import it in the Gimp image editor. So sometimes it works, sometimes it don’t. I am using the latest Figma 116.16.13 on Mac OS Sonoma 14.0.

Currently components are published as is on the website, which causes issues as not all transformations can translate into css/html. If those components could be set to export as a flat image all those issues would be solved. Any way to do this currently or is it planned for future release?

I am designing my portfolio with Figma Sites and I have these buttons at one size when I am designing them, but when I open my page in prototype or publish it and check it, it is a completely different size. I also have an issue with my headers changing from bold when designing to becoming regular weight when prototyping. I don’t know if this is an issue on my part, or if it is a bug, thank you.  

Hi, I am trying to complete Stripe onboarding to sell community resources on Figma but it keeps giving me this error (attached)Im guessing it’s because of the post code I’ve entered. I’m based in the United Arab Emirates and the country and cities here don’t have post codes. Does anyone know how to solve this issue? 

I feel difficult to find the auto layout settings after updating Figma Desktop to version 125.4.8Does anyone experience the same?
