While collaborating on a Figma file, we noticed an issue where text layers sometimes change unexpectedly. When my collaborator selects and edits a text object, it occasionally turns into a stroke-only text with no fill color. However, the properties panel still shows the text as having a fill, so the change isn’t reflected there.
The only workaround I’ve found is to repeatedly click the affected text until it reverts back to displaying as a proper solid-filled text.
Steps to Reproduce:
-
Open a shared Figma file with at least two collaborators.
-
Have one collaborator select a text layer and attempt to edit the text.
-
Observe that the text sometimes switches to a stroke-only appearance, even though the properties panel shows a fill.
Expected Result:
Text should remain a solid fill when edited, with no mismatch between the canvas display and the properties panel.
Actual Result:
Text displays as stroke-only on the canvas while the properties panel still indicates a fill, requiring multiple clicks to restore the proper appearance.
