Hi! I figured out the mistake — when I went through the re-verification process, I was still logged into my personal Figma account on my browser, so the student verification got applied there instead of my actual student account (where all my projects are).
I already contacted SheerID about this. Right now, the issue is that it says verification limit exceeded, so I’m just waiting for their response if they can reset it and give me another chance to re-verify on the correct account.
Just wanted to ask if anyone here knows if it’s possible to re-verify my correct account eve tho i’m already verified on the wrong account once SheerID allows it? Has anyone gone through the same situation before?

I understand that you accidentally verified your personal Figma account instead of your student account, and that you're now waiting to hear back from SheerID regarding the “verification limit exceeded” message.
Since SheerID manages Figma’s Higher Education verification process, we don’t have full visibility into individual account cases, and we also can’t handle account-specific issues here in the forum due to privacy and security reasons.
However, once you hear back from SheerID and if you're still unable to verify your correct student account, we recommend reaching out to our Support Team directly via this form: Submit a request
When submitting the request, please include:

The email address associated with the account you accidentally verified

The email address of the correct student account you want to use instead

Any details or responses you received from SheerID
That way, our team can take a closer look and assist you directly.

Thanks for replying ! So, I reached out to SheerID as advised, and they did confirm that my school email is valid and active, and that I’m eligible for the Figma Education plan ( please see the attached image ).
What I want to clarify is what this actually means. From my understanding, it seems like my school email is verified but it got applied to the wrong account (my personal one). My original account, where all my school projects are, is still not verified.
Can you please confirm if my understanding is correct? And if so, is it possible to transfer the Education verification to my original account, or would I need to request SheerID to reset the verification process instead?

Thanks for your reply! Just to clarify my situation:
I accidentally applied the Figma Education plan (using my verified school email, which SheerID confirmed) to my personal account, which I don’t really use. That account now has the Education plan + Figma Make, which u said i should check.
Meanwhile, my original account (with all my projects) only shows a countdown to reverify. It still says on my team that it’s "EDU ", so I believe that while the countdown isn’t down to 0 I still have access to education plan, but I do not have Figma Make on that account.
When I tried reapplying, it said my verification limit was exceeded. I then emailed sheerID but only got a reply saying my said school account has recently got verified. Which was in the removed screenshot.
Ive already contacted the Figma Support team and included the confirmation email from SheerID. Just to clarify: SheerID only confirmed that my school email is still valid and active, but they don’t handle the linking of Education benefits to Figma accounts.
My main question is:
Since my school email is already verified by sheerID, how would be the process of it if I want my original account to have the education plan, knowing that I already used my verified school email to apply for an another figma account, which was an accident. Is it possible to re-apply the Education plan to my original account (the one with my projects) ? what’s the workaround to it.
Or is there a way to remove the Education plan from my personal account so that it can be correctly applied to my original account?
What I really just want is to have the Education benefits linked to my original account with all my work, instead of my personal account where it was mistakenly applied.

Requests are reviewed in the order they’re received, with a response time of up to 5 business days.
Since the Education team is the right group to assist you, so they can follow up with you directly.
