I’ve been using figma.fileKey in an internal Figma plugin to get the file’s latest contributor, and it had been working fine until today.Now I’m getting the following error:Unhandled promise rejection: Error: figma.fileKey is undefined. Ensure you’re in the plugin main thread on API v1.0.0+Just wanted to check—was there a recent update to the Figma APIs that may have affected this behavior? I’m running this from the main thread, so this change seems unexpected.Appreciate any insight you can provide!Thank you for the help

 Figma loads but shows a broken or pixelated canvas. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, tried webgl and every other thing possible. It’s does this on both desktop and website for chrome but on Mozilla website it working well. What can I do please?

Recently, I started using AI to generate images in Figma, and overall it’s been working well for me. However, I’ve encountered an issue with the new image editing feature:When I place the cursor within a word to edit, as soon as I start typing, the cursor jumps to the end of the prompt paragraph instead of staying where I placed it. I’ve tried multiple times, but I’m not sure what’s causing this issue.

Hello, after the latest Figma update, I can no longer see the icons in the Layer panel that indicate whether a layer is a master component or an instance, or whether a frame has auto-layout. Is there a setting to display these icons in the Layer panel?  

help! :(i’ve been rebuilding the entire design system with design tokens as variables and styles and then made detailed documentations of it all, entering Figma this morning and ALL variables and styles are gone, components and text looks correct and seems to understand that it should reference the variables or styles, but it is all broken trying to view the variable or style, ex for colors it shows a box with the color but no name.i have tried updating figma, open in browser, regenerating all instances, revert to an earlier version nothing helped.note, that my Figma project started as an sketch import that i have continued building on top of, i don’t know if this could be the reason that Figma suddenly decided to delete ALL variables and styles in my document :(even more strange, if i create a new project and copy/past my content over, i now see the design tokens original variable names and typography and color style names, but they don’t exist in the document.is there anything i can

Saya membuat cukup banyak komponen aset dengan beberapa varian di Figma (misalnya: karakter dengan status idle, walk, run).Masalah yang saya hadapi adalah ketika saya mencoba menggabungkan beberapa komponen karakter ini ke dalam sebuah frame atau grup untuk membuat sebuah scene, properti variannya menjadi kacau dan tidak bisa diubah dengan mudah. Seolah-olah mereka kehilangan koneksi ke set varian utamanya.Saya sudah mencoba beberapa cara seperti grouping biasa atau framing, tapi rasanya kurang efisien dan seringkali saya harus mengatur ulang varian secara manual.Apakah ada trik, plugin, atau alur kerja (workflow) yang lebih baik untuk "menggabungkan" beberapa komponen yang memiliki varian seperti ini? Recently Figma added a long-awaited feature (for me at least) to Slides—the ability to create and use components within a presentation or template. However the implementation of this was not quite what I expected and doesn’t line up with how I use components in design files.My issue is that I don’t really know where to keep the main components. Slides seems to be encouraging me to have them live on the slides themselves, but I that approach as always felt weird to me because I want components to be separated from content. In the template I created for my company, I also experimented with storing components on hidden appendix slides, but that felt off too. I  am currently keeping the main components off to the side somewhere, but they feel like they’re floating in space and lack organization. Plus, I can only really see them in the “all slides” view.I think what I expected was something more like the ability to keep Slides components on a separate page altogether. Not sure if anyone els

Will it be possible to have Figma Make generate plain HTML, CSS and vanilla JS or does it only generate React projects?

My company is currently on Professional Plan. As more people (e.g. marketing, sales, customer service) are joining Figma, we are thinking of creating another team to manage this more effectively.I see that Professional comes with 1 team.What is the cost of adding an additional team? Can you transfer existing seats to the new team? If I am part of both teams, do I pay for two seats?Thanks

Hey all, I have a question regarding something i am trying to achieve in prototyping. I got a main CTA button and next to that CTA button i have a dropdown select, i have several variants made containing both the CTA and dropdown select, lets call these 2 combined the CTA button from here. From variant A, i click the dropdown and show a dropdown menu with options as an overlay. Now when i click an option from the overlay, i want too change the CTA variant and close the overlay. I can link from the dropdown select from the variant component to the overlay frame to show the overlay, but I cannot link from the overlay back too the variants component and choose too change the variant (point 2 from above). Wat is the current method to achieve this? I don’t want to switch frames, because nothing inside the frame (with like 20 components) changes except for the select showing the chosen option/variant.

I recently cancelled the Professional plan, as we currently no longer require its services. I have a button component with the typical default, hover and active states for mouse over animation, nothing special. I want to click this button and: Navigate to a new frame Open an overlay on this frame. If I map multiple On Click actions to a static element then this works. As soon as I try to map these actions onto a button component, only the first action of navigating to a new frame works. So I can’t get it to work on a hover animated button and I have no idea why this would be the case. I don’t have any conflicting actions with the danger icon on anything. Please help! Thanks. Edit: To clarify, I even tested this with a component that had the 3 button states but didn’t have any prototyping links between the states in the component and it worked just fine. As soon as I added a link to a hover state variant the multiple On Click actions broke.

Hei, I discover interaction between normal text and text with underline not work. One component is normal text the other is with underline. At first the hover effect worked without text input changing. When I changed text in the instance, then interactive effect disappeared.

Calling all Figma Prototyping Gurus!!  Interaction challenge. Trying to incorporate a pretty common interaction these days of a UI panel expanding smoothly from it's position in a scrollable stacked grid to a detailed view, then contracts back when closed.  I feel like I've explored every avenue to figuring this one out (Smart animate, scroll position states on/off, using overlays, swapping overlays, chanting to the gods...) unfortunately, looking like it's not possible in Figma. As soon as the grid stack of panels is scrolled out of it's original position it breaks the interaction. So, before I lose all my hair and close the book on this one, thought I put it out there and see if anyone else has or can figure a work around to this basic interaction. 

Please get back old verion of Grid with Wrap function! New one is not working well and it doesn’t fit needs of the projects!New Grid doesn’t support vertical Hug, It makes strange gaps between components in grid based on size of the container.

Hi Figma,I’m new to Figma and just started yesterday. I was working on a project using the AI Beta feature, which allows 3 free uses per day, and I’m really happy with the progress so far. I was planning to upgrade to the Professional plan (with a seat) so I could continue working on it. While searching today for free options for students, I came across the Education plan and got verified. Unfortunately, when I revisited my project, this plan doesn’t include access to the AI Beta feature I was using. How can I revert back to the normal plan and pay instead, so I can continue my project? Also, if I upgrade, will I still be able to access the project I was working on? It’s very important to me. Thank you so much!   

I was approved on student plan with my personal email while working with one school but I switched to other school where I want to be the educator. Since I was already approved on student plan I don't have option to change to educator's plan. I contacted Figma's support but as I see they sent bot reply which isn't connected to my case and repeats what I have already read in the internet. Can anybody help me figure out how to approach this case? 

I’m having trouble finding the Auto Layout configuration after updating to the latest version of the Figma Desktop app (I’m using a Mac). It’s no longer showing up in the usual spot on the right-hand panel.Below a screenshot showing two rectangles that are already using Auto Layout, but I can’t seem to find the configuration settings for it. 

We (as a team) had created a full page and from one to another it has disappear. We can’t recover it even going back to the version history. Has anyone gone through similar experience?

I  have been facing this issue continuously for the last 4-5 days & it’s getting frustrating. When is Figma Team resolving this? __/\__
