Hi Figma Commmunity,

I recently sent a submission to be an FoF User Group Lead in my Community.

I sent this submission - for over 2 weeks now - and I haven’t got a response.

Can anyone help? How can I reach Figma for a response, or approval?

I have sent a follow up email, I have also sent a suppport Ticket, I have sent a DM on X. I have also commented on YouTube videos to get Figma’s attention.

Any help guys?

Thank you

Hey @thelma_opurum!  I’ve seen your DM on X and your support ticket (#1552676), and I also want to thank you for reaching out here on the Forum. I’ve gone ahead and contacted the relevant teams internally to help move things forward.

I’ll keep you updated as soon as I hear back from them. Thank you for your patience in the meantime!

Hey @thelma_opurum, I’ve got updates!

The team has sent a reply on 10/3 to let you know that there was an within close proximity in Osogbo so while we are unable to accommodate your request, we suggest reaching out to the leader of the group in Osogbo to see how you can get involved! You should be able to contact them here

Thank you for your response @Gayani_S

First, I didn’t get a response.

Also, Osogbo is about 1 hour 30 minutes Journey from Ogbomoso.

Ogbosmoso on the other hand is becoming a HotSpot for Tech. Hubs are being opened here, Tech communities are being built. Also, there is a very large student community here - Ladoke Akintola Univeristy of Technology, Ogbomoso, and Federal Polytechnic Ogbomoso.

I will humbly request that you reconsider. Please.

It will be very demanding for people to travel for almost 2 hours to attend an event that can be easily held in their own community.

Getting the numbers here in Ogbomoso isn’t a problem and as an act of faith we have opened a WhatsApp community and also announced that there will be FoF Ogbomoso.

You can check out the WhatsApp community link here

We mean business and we really want the design commnity here to grow.

I will humbly request that you reconsider.
