Hello. i am from Bangladesh currently a student in Computer Science and today I got an email about educational plan in Figma  and while completing the form my university doesn’t appear in higher education dropdown. I am currently making a project for my university and I need the prototype interaction for my project but as a free user i can’t do that. Can i add my university ?

I'm working on a website design in Figma and have a full-screen image placed below a navigation bar. When I resize the window, the image scales correctly but gets cut off at the bottom, as if there's an invisible limit. I've already made the page longer, but the issue persists. How can I fix this so the full image is always visible when scaling?Would appreciate any help!Gif ExampleIn the following example you can see that when I drag the window to the right to enlarge the window, the image doesn't scale with it on the bottom, almost like there is an invisable limit like stated above.

Hey everyone,  I’m making a Facebook Group banner for a client. After using the Facebook banner frame, when I upload the banner it still appears blurry. I’ve tried exporting it as .png and .jpg, at 1x-4x, and changing the size of the frame while keeping the same aspect ratio (16:9).From the research I’ve done, the reason this is happening is because the aspect ratio or size of the actual exported image is incorrect.Has anybody been able to export a Facebook banner and get it to not appear blurry? Or will I have to use a different platform. (Example of what the banner looks like. It could be worse, but it’s still unprofessional and I’d like it to be fixed.)Thanks!

Hi, After creating a button component and clicking on the text field to add the text property (under the text parameters), when I get to the main component, the variant doesn’t appear. When I and add a variant of the button, Figma doesn’t care about my text property, it reacts as if there is no “current variant”. After investigating many forums about this problem, the “variant” of the text property does not display when it is supposed to. I have tried so many things to get this right, starting from scratch, updating Figma…, etc. I hope you can help!

Hi everyone,My team has an Organisation account and we have 1 library file which we use to get all components. What is the best way to update components when 15 designers are working on it?I need a plan how to review, approve and update components without branching. Example: I have a card component, I assign 3 designers to work on a modification to it.They copy the component into their own file, detach it, make modification and send it back to me. I review all 3 and I select 1 version. Now, I go to main componet and need to make changes manually? There must be a better way?  All ideas are welcome!

Hi, As an animator it’s so frustrating seeing the lack of functionality for Lottie files compared to other packages like Flutter Flow. Animating in Figma is fine for most, but not for an animator, creating animation-heavy apps. I need After Effects Animation for character animations and other complex animations. I need Lottie files to play animations in Figma just once on splash screens etc. Seems so basic for a massive app like Figma… Please let us know if this is being looked at, otherwise, we will have to stop using Figma for creating apps. I have a design system that uses 2 modes, and have recently added 7 more modes. They show properly in the Variables panel (now split between two Collections), but when I go to select them in the Variable Modes dropdown, I only see the initial 2. Do modes only register the first created Collection? I have made a dropbox with component sets and here is the screenshot:  As a newbie in figma… I want an interactive Next button so whenever the user clicks any of the Emirates or any of the cities the next button would appear or else it would remain hidden. Any Solutions?

I have two Figma accounts - a company account and a personal account. On the company account, the keyboard shortcuts for zoom are:1 for Zoom to fit2 for Zoom to selectionCOMPANY ACCOUNTOn the personal account, the keyboard shortcuts for zoom are:Shfit + 1 for Zoom to fitShift + 2 for Zoom to selectionPERSONAL ACCOUNTThis is driving me crazy as I’m always hitting the wrong shortcut in the wrong account. I’m moving from Adobe XD over to Figma, and I find working with images rather awkward. I’m currently trying to scale an image up. I set the image treatment to “crop”, but when I attempt to scale the control points, nothing happens. I’m wondering if this is a bug? Any help would be much appreciated.

I’ve created many web designs in Figma recently but suddenly in this sheet any text I paste (from my typical Apple Text Edit) is appearing as grey, ditto with the once white bullets because when I create a new bullet by hitting return on the sentence above it’s also grey? How do I set the default text to white? Thanks

i used to be able to just drag and drop a new design on top of the main component and it would change all instances, but now when i try to drag and drop a new design into the main component it just places it over top of the old design. its starting to frustrate me because i think i’ve tried everything… thanks in advance

TL;DR: figma.ui.reposition only works until user moves the window for the first time. Background During development of Parrot we found the need to support different Window Modes like Fullscreen, Docked to the Bottom or modal window - as requested by others - see links below. Framing QuestionSometimes, you might discover that a layer, which appears to be inside a frame, is actually outside of it—placed directly on the canvas. It just happens to share the same x and y coordinates as the frame. When you move the frame, some layers suddenly lose their positions because they weren’t part of the frame. This can be quite frustrating.Usually, when I encounter an orphan layer like this, I have to find it in the layer list and drag the item into the frame list item. Alternatively, I drag the layer outside the frame and then back again to its original position. This is also an annoying process.However, I’ve noticed that when I drag a layer that isn’t part of the frame, the frame underneath sometimes highlights with a blue line, suggesting there’s a way to add the layer to the frame directly.So, is there a shortcut or similar method to add a layer that is atop a frame to the frame easily

I created a component with two variants: State: Collapsed and State: Extended. Basically, the first one is when it’s not clicked, and the second one is when it is clicked. I changed the text in the second variant, but in presentation mode, the text doesn’t seem to update. In the prototype, I picked “change to” to switch from collapsed to extended and vice versa. I’ve attached a video to show the issue. This is the first time I’ve run into this little hiccup, so I think I might have forgotten something or overlooked a detail.Figma question

Hello!I have a problem. Now I am living in Russia and have mobile operator “Megafon”. When I am using it, I can’t open Figma boards and also page “Recents and Sharing”. How can it be, if it is fast?

Found nothing regarding this in a Search, so asking here. The Help doc shows an icon to adjust Paragraph Spacing just below the Line Height icon. But in my settings panel this Paragraph Spacing icon/adjustment is not visible. Has it moved somewhere? Thanks.

I have a file with a design system, and I want to preserve the properties of the components in Figma into new file and create new components in the design system with the same properties but with different tokens. Essentially, I need to detach the old components from the old design system into a new one. I need variants of the old components. May be we have some plugin? Or I can do it just in Figma?

Hello I’m using a professional plan on Figma I’ve enabled the AI feature in the settings, but it doesn’t show up in the toolbar. Could this be a bug, or is there a way to make it appear?

I was wondering if there is any way to drag and drop and image from your desktop in a FigJam so it swaps the image out, rather than stacking on top. Any help is appreciated!
