I was charged even though I canceled my subscription. I made a purchase on november 9 for $5, and I canceled my subscription around the week of the 17th. Despite that, today, december 9, I was charged $15, when I dont have any active plan. Even when I log into my account, it shows that I'm on the starter plan.

I talked with the support bot and it gave me a case number, but It also told me that no one will contact me. I also sent an email to support@figma.com with the information of the transaction, the case number and screenshots of how my account appears today.

I need my money back and also need to be guaranteed that this issue wont happen again.

Hi @Sofía Pac,

I understand you’re seeing an unexpected charge even though you canceled your plan.

I can confirm that your ticket (#1634726) has been routed to the correct team.
Unfortunately, we’re not allowed to assist with individual billing issues like this here in the Forum due to security concerns, so please wait for the team’s response in your ticket. They’ll reply as soon as they’re ready.

That said, based on what we can see internally, here are some general explanations and resources that may help clarify the situation:

  1. Your plan was canceled during the billing cycle
    • As the chatbot mentioned, Figma doesn’t offer prorated refunds when a plan is canceled. The seat remains active until the end of the billing period.
  2. Your seat type changed
    • You originally had a Collab seat, but it later switched to a Full seat. A Collab seat only includes view/comment access for Figma Design files, while a Full seat allows you to create and edit Design files.
  3. Canceling your Professional plan
    • Canceling your Professional subscription downgrades your team to the free Starter plan. If your team had 4 or more files your team will be locked. To unlock it, you would need to either move files back to drafts or deleting files
